OMG, STAY AWAY! This place is horrible. I use present tense because I’m standing in the doorway of what is apparently a smoking room (room 122)… at 6 am. I’ve been standing here in the open doorway since 4am, guarding my family while they sleep because we have to keep the door open for fresh air. The room positively reeks of cigarette smoke. The walls are sticky with tar from cigarettes. I had no idea that smoking rooms were still a thing and the man at the front desk didn’t mention a word about it at the time of booking. My elderly mom was so exhausted from our trip, she insisted we stay in the room and “not make a fuss”. If you knew my mom, you’d understand why I didn’t argue with her. I’ve included pictures of me standing guard and the towels I had to use to wipe down the walls in order to make the room bearable. I also used almost an entire bottle of body wash in the bathtub with the shower on in an effort to make the room smell better. And don’t get me started on the spiders, yes spiders. I’ve been killing them all night. While standing guard. To let my family sleep with SOME fresh air. Do not stay here. We would have been better off sleeping in the car.||||Update: ||||I just tried to address the issue with the front desk guy while checking out. I tried to be civil, but he simply would not shut up. He constantly denied and argued with me, saying if it was so bad, why didn’t I get another room? Well, there were a few reasons for that. 1. It was pouring rain (electrical storm) and there was wicked lightning. 2. My elderly mother was too exhausted to move. 3. The majority of the reviews on here AND Trip Advisor said that ALL OF THE ROOMS, smoking or non smoking, reeked and were filthy. I did apologize for the state of the towels, but explained that I had to clean the room for my mom and daughter. I was doing him a courtesy and letting him know how awful the room was, but he just. couldn’t. shut. up. He said that since I didn’t ask for another room, it wasn’t his problem, but mine. I lost my cool and said no, it’s not and dropped an f-bomb saying it was his staff’s f*ing fault. Then he told me to get the fk out, exact words. I didn’t even ask him for a refund or partial refund. What a jerk. Didn’t even...
Read moreI felt they deliberately misrepresented themselves. On the website, there's pictures of a nice clean lobby. When you arrive at the hotel, it's locked. There's no access to a receptionist or any other staff. You have to call a number for assistance and then someone from the back will come assist. Interaction between myself and the receptionist was through a piece of plexiglass....really gave the impression we were in a really bad neighborhood. No access to the lobby, no coffee or other sundries as depicted on the website. No continental breakfast. There was a sign on the door that breakfast will not be served. This was a complaint from a long time ago that I read on their reviews so I don't think they have any intentions of serving breakfast yet on the website, it advertises breakfast. I saw three roaches during my stay. They have Direct TV but 75% of the channels were "temporarily unavailable" for the duration of my stay. They do say there will be a fine for smoking in the rooms but when I went to my room, it reeked of cigarettes and musty and there was ashes on the night stand...I cleaned the ashes up so they wouldn't fine me for smoking. There was an empty wine bottle left under the couch. The room wasn't very well kept up. Furniture was stained and banged up. water stains on the ceiling. bathroom faucet leaked, tub faucet was loose. light bulb burnt out in one of the lamps. I walked around the room in my socks and it totally turned my socks black. The floor is filthy. The day I checked in, other people were drinking and partying outside there room...they actually had a boom-box (circa 1980s) jamming on some music. They advertise "guest laundry" which consisted on one slightly rusty coin-op washer and dryer that was not in a room but tucked away outside in a little alcove. I was scared to wash anything in there for fear of ruining my clothes. On the up-side, the receptionist was responsive and helpful. The tub was clean and the water hot so I was able to have a descent shower and NO...
Read moreThe room felt clean when we walked in. It was just a standard King room, nothing special, but great for us. We were there for business (mainly) - not for a luxurious getaway. The bathroom is quite small and our door wouldn't latch, although this wasn't a problem for us, I can see where it would be if you were traveling with anyone other than your spouse/kids. The area felt safe and we didn't encounter any problems with noise. We rested very well, no pool-Sad. The breakfast was hot and free, however, it was small and wasn't that appealing. The waffle maker may or may not work properly. It's not maintained very well. I would love to see some yogurt, fresh fruit (other than just apples), etc. If the sausage runs out at 8:30am, don't expect it to be refilled. Breakfast ends at 9am and by 8:30, they are wrapping it up. Other than Marla, I wasn't overly impressed with the staff. No one was very friendly or personable. Our reservation was for a 1st floor room (127). Upon arrival, the man who I guess runs the place, tried to put us on the 2nd floor. I explained to him that we were supposed to be in room 127, so he fixed it. I would have been pretty upset if we had had to carry all of our luggage and worry with our 4 year old on those stairs to the upper floor when we were promised a 1st floor room. It seems that he tries to put everyone on the 2nd floor. Most of the 1st floor was empty our entire stay and many people were...
