Awesome place for a Millenial-Boomer like me who grew up in 1990. 😄 Arcade games from my childhood, and teenage years, as well as classics before my time & some more modern ones (early 2000's) All of the games are set to free play so you can GIT GUD at some classic arcade games!
I visited on a Tuesday and I was surprised to be the only one there until about 30 minutes till closing. Maybe the place is more busy on the weekends?
Pac-Man, Mis Pac-Man, DDR, SkiiBall, Guitar Hero Arcade, Arctic Thunder, Rambo, Star Wars, and more! $12 to get in the door, tickets act as a sort of day pass and you can come/go as you please for the rest of the day.
They even have the NES Classic, SNES Classic, ATGames Sega Genesis, and a Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 DX, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (2019), and Minecraft Dungeons.
I find it a bit odd with the choice of Animal Crossing, Link's Awakening & Minecraft dungeons as those are singleplayer games and the Nintendo Switch setup has 4 controllers and it meant for local multiplayer play.
It would be cool if they added Mario Strikers Battle League, Mario Golf Super Rush & Mario Tennis Aces and maybe even Mario Party Superstars as those are great couch multiplayer games.
The time I spent there just flew by! Five hours passed in a blink of an eye! It's a very fun video game arcade museum to visit & I'd visit again...
Read moreThis was an extremely fun and pretty exciting adventure. A real trip down memory lane! The "museum" aspect is fulfilled with information above the different arcade games and pinball machines, as to the year that particular game came out, as well as the ongoing updates to the technology of the day. I love playing Skeeball, and there were two games in the Starcade! There was Dance Dance Revolution, a guitar game, basketball shooting, air hockey, driving games, shooting the bad guy adventure games, and so much more. For an additional price, there were even two virtual reality games. All the arcade games in both the Pinball Museum and the Starcade Museum are set to automatic play, so once you purchase your entrance tickets, you can play to your hearts content. The Museums are open until 8 p.m., making this an excellent afternoon date place, a family adventure, and/or a place to be out of the heat of summer! Make sure to purchase the combo tickets so you can go back and forth from Museum to Museum, although there are steps you must climb to the Starcade Museum, and it's "up the road a piece" from the Pinball Museum. All in all, five stars and highly...
Read moreWhat a great find! You immediately get a welcoming vibe walking in and are just taken back by the size and variety, maintained with obvious meticulous care and attention, presented in such a clean and inviting environment. There truly is something for everyone, from the ground-breaking games of the early days of video games to the modern virtual reality platforms, it's all here to enjoy at one low "pay-all, come and go as you like" price that takes away the stress of hunting for those next quarters or dollar bills and is still way less than any single trip I made to the arcades back in the 70's and 80's! The staff I met, Amiee and Ben, were as nice and helpful as could be, and as I learned that they've had a personal connection in searching out and acquiring such an impressive collection it became clear that some real thought and conviction have gone into the operation and management of this hidden gem! A perfect place to plan an event for everyone of all ages and how many places can you...
