3/2023 Went to see Jersey Boys, and what a ride! The music and acting were superb. It's probably the best production I've seen at MMT in years, and I've been going since it was on top of Mill Mountain. Excellent in every way. I would post some pics, but photos are prohibited. The photos are from the digital program, which is cool, with so much more information. 12/16/2023 Truly enjoyed the production of Elf The Musical at MMT! Everything about this holiday spirited show was professional, festive, and fun! Had great seats in the third row center, but at times, the under stage instrument combo overpowered the actors' song. A more balanced sound might have been more evident in 6 as close to the combo. The true stand-out was the actor who played Buddy the Elf with his fluid facial expressions, excellent voice, and physical antics! Some of the actors played different characters, resulting in some serious quick costume changes. The choreography was also excellent, and all the actors were great in song and dance. Overall, it was truly a "get in the spirit" event, prompting all to " Sing loud for all to hear!" Photography was not allowed, so pics are from a WDBJ promotion. 8/11/24 Saw Nemo Jr., and it was fantastic! Our group of three were probably the only adult group there because almost every granddad and grandma were there with about 3 grandkids. All the children in the audience were very well behaved and attentive, making the audience loud with applause and appreciation throughout the play. The underwater stage was convincing, as well as the aquarium scenes, with a bubbling volcano. The whole cast were mostly children and teens, and the absolutely cute fish costumes were adorable. There were some very talented voices, especially the child who played Nemo, The talents of the child who played the ever confused Dori and the dancing of the Puffer Fish were outstanding. Sorry, I don't know the actors' real names. I know it's a great cost saving, but I don't like the online program. Great youth talent in the area that we should all be proud of! Taking photos was not allowed, so pics of the performance were taken from Internet publicity. 10/2024 Saw an excellent production of To Kill a Mockingbird. The production used a creative way to have Scout speak in first person as an adult while remembering the childhood event. Standout acting by all the cast! A creative and interesting way was used to have a set change while the play continued without interruption. Emotional drama at its best! Can't wait for MMT's next production, Annie! As usual, no live photography was allowed, so pics are from promotional material. 12/8/24 Fastastic! The production values of the Annie performance at Mill Mountain Theatre Trinkle mainstage were excellent. I noted that, on a couple of occasions, the main character spotlight was slow to respond, leaving the character partially and briefly in the dark. The acting was surperb, songs, vocals, tones, and harmonies were excellent, and choreography was on point!. The costumes were impressive and true to the character. The excitement and enthusiasm was very infectious, and the humor timing was right on cue. Overall, it was one of the productions I've enjoyed the most in recent memory. Tickets for the 2025 season are available now, so don't miss out on these talented folks! As usual, no live photography was allowed, so pics are from MMT promotional material. NOTE: I understand the need for an online program to cut costs, etc, but the link to the program should be available on the back of every other seat. It is not available in the stage area, only in the lobby, and it is rude and tough to leave the stage area once seated. I would also like to have the link to read the program at home after the production. There's never time or enough light during the production to read about the actors, sponsors, etc.

We usually go to MMT 3-4 times/year. Saw Shrek last night with my husband and grandson. I appreciated the email I received the day of regarding parking etc. The kids did a great job! However..a few suggestions for MMT..use some of the sponsorship funds to boost the WiFi if you’re going to only offer digital marquee. It took us quite awhile and lots of walking around to get tickets to load on phone to even be able to get into the theater. Wasn’t able to get marquee loaded until the show had started. Very disappointed. With the advanced technology these days there are ways to boost the WiFi. OR simple solution would be go back to paper!

We could not believe all the audience chatter that took place throughout the entire show. At times making it very difficult to hear. Not sure if there was an issue with the audio but there were several cast members we never heard. We were in row J and have no hearing issues so it wasn’t because of those.

The continuous vocal ROARS of applause throughout the entire production was very distracting! Obviously there is going to be applause at the end of songs etc and certainly vocal roars of applause during the curtain call but continuously throughout the entire production was way too much!! It was evident it was coming from the volunteers of MMT which I’m thinking are parents and family members of the cast. But, I'm sorry, it was distracting and over the top!

Again the kids did a great job, it was obvious a lot of work went into but MMT some issues need to...

We went to see the production Annie last night and it was an absolutely amazing performance. They really have a well-produced performance and the facility was great. My only complaint was the spacing between the rows of seating in which had there would have been anyone sitting in front of me they would have had my knees pushing against the back of their chair, making both of us uncomfortable. However, the performance and venue itself were 5 star all the way. It’s an amazing theater organization offering acting classes and really have a great presence in the area. Last year they did a production at the Bent Mountain Center of James and the Giant Peach and it was a phenomenal production as well. Some of these actors and actresses were in Annie as well and it is great to see their growth since the last performance we saw them in.

The acting and choreography was excellent and exceeded my expectations - the talent and ability of our hometown theatrical group here is amazing! We loved it!

You have to check them out. They have a nice list of productions for 2025 which we plan on being regulars to support them. Such an enjoyable time! Please...
