Here, let me hand you this dirty rumpled paper menu and then I am going to serve you the drink you didn’t order 20 minutes after you sat down with my finger in it from across the table so you have to reach for it. Oh, and I am probably sweating on your drinks because it is absurdly hot in here. Here is also a hard water stained glass for your beer. Yes, I know you had to ask for it after I brought you a lukewarm can. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. Spicy pork bowl was greasy, rice mushy, disgusting food. The service horrible. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Appetizer never came. Drinks came after dinner. What a disaster. $53 for food we didn’t eat and the world’s dumbest & laziest server. Lame response received: Seriously… that is your excuse?! Then you should post a sign: “Though our prices remain high, the food and service will probably be terrible because we are short staffed. You may want to consider another establishment… maybe even McDonalds.” Tell you what, give me my money and my time back. We made a 90 mile round trip on on a Saturday evening on a friend’s recommendation to have you mess it up. If you cannot deliver the experience on which you base your reputation and for which you are charging, then you need to close the door until you get it sorted out. Otherwise, you are robbing your customers of their time and stealing their money.

First day I went there My husband and I had cheeseburgers and pork belly bao. Both were very tasty. The cheeseburger was probably one of the best cheeseburgers I've had. And the fries were pretty good too. I went back the next day to take my daughter for cheeseburgers but the menu was different. So I had breakfast bao And she had a different type of cheeseburger. Everything was still very good. Atmosphere is a great date night atmosphere. They have great drinks. And during the day it's nice for family. The staff there's awesome. They check on you often. They are all very friendly and they go above and beyond. Very impressive! I first met Jacob just coming in to check out the place and he was very friendly. He told me a lot about the restaurant although he would be closing soon. He's very patient. Emma and Lola were my waitresses on the occasions that I came to actually sit down and eat. They were both very nice. Emma waited on us for date night. She was fun and helped us pick drinks and meals. Her input was valuable since it was our first time there. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to coming back in the very near future. Of course no one's perfect. Only issue we had was on the first visit our fries came out a little overcooked. I showed the waitress and she corrected it immediately.

First time here with our party of 6. We ordered the tapsilog, pancit umaga, chicken wrap, sausage samee, and ume pancakes—and overall, it was a flavorful, satisfying spread with a fun twist on Filipino classics. The tapsilog was savory and comforting, with tender beef and garlicky rice done right. The pancit umaga and morning noodles were both solid breakfast picks—familiar yet elevated. The chicken wrap was unexpectedly delicious—crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned. Topped with creamy slaw, served with home cut fries which were great. The sausage samee brought that sweet-savory longganisa flavor we love. The only letdown was the ume pancakes, which were unfortunately a bit burnt—bummer, since we were looking forward to them. The drinks, though, completely delivered. All the syrups are house-made, and it shows. Our favorite was the Manila Dreams—vodka, ube, guava, oat milk, and lemon. Creamy, tangy, and just the right amount of boozy. The Bloody Mary was also excellent with their in-house mix—bold, balanced, and not too heavy on the spice. Overall, amazing flavors, creative cocktails, and a great vibe. We’ll be back—hopefully to catch those pancakes on a better day!

The four course tasting that Scott and I won at Rocky Horror Picture Show Trivia Night Hosted by the Coronado Theatre & 27 Aluna was truly exceptional.

The first course consisted of a fresh watermelon salad, topped with crunchy wontons and a delicious white citrus dressing. Scott noted that he had never had watermelon in a salad before and found that it made the watermelon taste less watery. 😂 The chef then presented us with Hawaiian bao-rittos!!! This dish, which is an omage to a dish that had been removed from the menu years ago, brought back fond memories and allowed us to appreciate its uniqueness, as we had not encountered anything like it since its removal.

Chef Patrick Alberto then introduced the entree, a braised short rib inside a ravioli covered in a rich and decadent savory white chocolate sauce. We appreciated the opportunity to thank him for such an experience before dessert. For which we were served a firm bread pudding with a nutty flavor, topped with a sweet white chocolate sauce and strawberry compote, achieving a perfect balance between sweet and savory and tying together the sweetness of the entire meal.

We paired our feast with the fall fashion/chocolate cherry sangria cocktails and shared espresso martinis. By the time we returned home, we were ready to retire to bed to watch a spooky movie with warm, satisfied stomachs. Our dinner at 27 ALUNA at Octane was excellent, and we look forward to returning soon. Many thanks! Scott 27 ALUNA at Octane

Happy birthday, Scott, I love you and I'm so happy that I could win you this special birthday dinner just by knowing that it was a lightning bolt on the flag in Rocky horror...

Historically we have loved Octane with our whole family. We have been going here since it opened with our younger children. We have three boys, two of which are teenagers now, and our three year old. We visited today with our 3 year old, and we were quite disappointed that there were no menu options for kids. We then inquired with our waitress about this and we were told that the chef could make a smaller portion of mac and cheese, chicken tenders (chicken from the bao sandwich), or a smaller kids burger. We chose the burger. When it came, we laughed because of its size. We thought nothing of it, as we have ordered kids things before that were more of adult size portion. Upon receiving the bill however, we were disappointed to find that we were charged for a full size burger that was more expensive than many of the adult options on the menu. With regret, we choose to no longer frequent Octane, as it appears they have chosen a less family friendly experience. The atmosphere is great, staff is friendly, but if we can’t bring our child with us, then we will not be able to come back.

Note: we did bring this situation to our servers attention that evening, and all we were told is that she appreciated our feedback. I was literally at Octane the Friday before this with my Dad before we attended an IceHogs game. I love to support local. It’s not about the money, but a $16 burger for a 3 year old just doesn’t make much sense. I don’t expect a run of the mill kids menu, in fact I don’t even like that, but I do expect options for...

The atmosphere was great!!! Art on the walls, soft lighting, very clean restrooms & great wait staff as far as being polite, but not very informative.

The food however was not as good as it should have been for the pricing. We ordered a Mushroom soup which was amazing,, nachos which I just assumed came with meat, but didn't, the chese was overly spicy, there were peppers everywhere, but it was not worth the price, Although the waitress was nice I wished she had given me more information because it was my first time there.

My sister ordered the noodles, which had a great flavor, but they were undercooked, so instead of offering her a new order, because they were $13.00, the waitress took the bowl and said, "i'll.have the cook just throw them on a little longer.

My niece & sister say that the food was really good & maybe it normally is, but for the pricing I expected much more. I'm really passive, so I didn't say anything, and although I wanted desert, wasn't willing to spend more money to be disappointed.

Overall, the food was overpriced for the quality of the meal, the undercooked noodles, just seems for $13.00 a new order would have been appropriate.

When I ordered nachos, didn't know it was without meat, but when I asked for chicken, the waitress should have mentioned it was an extra $4 or $5 for a few chunks of chicken.

I like to try new restaurants & enjoy a night out twice a month, but I was...
