I stayed here for a quick weekend. I have stayed at many Hampton inns. The positive with this hotel is we had a two clean suite. The room was very nice. It was big. It was clean. I did like the room. Outside of that the staff was horrible. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns and have always checked in via the app. I always check in do the digital key choose my room and I'm done. I am unsure why this property forced me to come to the desk and hand them a credit card yet my credit card was in the app. They gave me room keys because the digital key did not work right away. Regardless of that the staff behind the counter when I checked in was rude the staff making coffee in the morning was rude. I was very very very very very very disappointed in this property. I've stayed at multiple Hampton Inns and never had a problem. I don't understand why I was charged an extra $25 or $30 for incidentals. Yes it came back off my card but again I always check in via the app with my card in the app. Yet I was forced to hand them my card when I checked in. I really don't understand that. Breakfast was not very good. I just had bananas and apples and coffee. The eggs were running the sausage was I don't even know what my daughter had a waffle which was fine. We returned to the Twin Cities area many times a year. We will not be staying at this property again. I do not fault overall Hampton Inns but I do fault this one. If you are looking for a clean room this is it if you're looking for a good service and nice staff...
Read moreThe Hampton Inn 2050 Iona Roseville Mn. I checked in carrying two large bags. I started toward the elevator after check-in and was told they are out of order. I explained that I am handicapped and needed the elevators. I received a shrug of the front desk clerk’s shoulders. She then pointed to the stairs and said those would be the closest to my room, on the top floor I was not offered another room that did not require stairs. I was not offered a time frame for when the elevator would be fixed. I asked to be notified when the elevator was fixed. I was not notified when the elevator was repaired. I explained that if I get hurt the hotel will be held responsible, I got a “So”. I started my trip up to the top one painful step after another. The landing between the second and third floor was used by me to put down the bags and take a break so that I could continue, the pain at this point was excruciating. Throughout the night I got very little sleep. The next morning not knowing if the elevator was fixed I took the stairs again (down is easier), but I still ended up sitting on the grass trying to calm down the pain. The apathy was...
Read moreRight in the vicinity of some passable restaurants and some fantastic Mediterranean food, this hotel has everything I'd expect from a Hampton Inn. The decor is up to date, the showers are walk-in with sliding glass doors, and the faucets have that magical dead zone that takes the water, both in the sink and the shower, from unpleasantly lukewarm to unbearably scalding in a matter of moments, with no compromise. My favorite part is the shower light, which turns off automatically if there's no motion detected in what feels like 30 seconds. Yes, that includes showering! Nothing wakes me up faster in the morning than slamming a sliding glass door mid-shower, repeatedly, as the light decides well lit showers are a thing of the past. The rage alone keeps me going all day long. Aside from that, what's there to say? They provide to-go breakfast with some oat bars, water, and an apple. The regular Hampton Inn breakfast I see at most hotels with the name is present as well. My room was quiet and clean. I slept pretty well and didn't have any complaints besides the above. I'll stay here again if work takes me this way...
