Traveler beware!! Where do I start, we reserved a room calling from Idaho and paying upfront, a partial payment to hold the reservation of a hundred bucks. Drove 19 hours and arrived early at 4 am on the 7th. We paid an early check in fee of 40 bucks and a total of 3 nights and a hundred dollar deposit. Right away we noticed the place had a bad odor throughout. We expected their to be be continental breakfast like the website claims there to be so we would save money on food expenses through out our stay, however their was not anything actually offered for amenities that is listed on the site. On our way to our room my 4 year old bluntly points out the stains on the hallway carpet being what she thought to be poop. I corrected her that hopefully it was just um foot stains. We immediately slept until noon and got up and had no water pressure for a shower. It was like showering with a drip. But at least the water got hot. We left at noon for the day to begin enjoying our planned out vacation. We arrived back at 10 pm with our groceries. We got into the elevator and this is where our turning point began. It smelt like urine real bad. But their was another guest In the elevator so it was unclear if it were the guest or the elevator itself that smelled. We waited for relief getting off the elevator onto the floor to our room but instead was hurled with the foulest odor that yet again my 4 year old had to be the first to say while coughing ew poop. It smelled like a backed up sewer line. Or broken or something but being pregnant, or at least I’m using my pregnancy as an excuse to say it was so bad I thought I was going to puke. I told my daughter to cover her nose with her sweater and told her to run to room door. All three of us took off running covering our noses hoping to find relief into our room. We open our door while coughing gasping for air to immediately see a huge German cockroach on the wall by the air conditioner. We took a photo and captured it in a cup. We then had to face the foul odor again by going downstairs to speak to the man at front desk privately. We showed him the cockroach in cup and told him about the awful smell in the hallway. He did offer to switch us room but at this point. We just wanted out of there. We were horrified of the cockroach. But even more the horrible smell. We asked for a refund and we waited outside to see if he could contact the manager to see if it would be granted. The man said he put In a request and that the manager would issue refund In the morning when he arrives back into the office. We left with the impression that we would be given a refund. We then had to frantically find another hotel to stay at being it was only getting later. My husband was terrified of cockroaches getting into our belongings that he had to throw some stuff away and wash all of our clothing in the middle of the night in fear of bringing roaches back home with us. We were told upon leaving that the manger was approving our refund request and that it would be processed in the morning. We were told we could speak to him in the morning about the exact amount we would be receiving. We think we deserve every penny we paid back. The management does not respond to calls or emails to try and resolve issues such as ours. We called several times throughout the day and told different stories of where or when he would be available only to eventually be told he is gone for the weekend after calling when told to call back. This was the worst stay we have ever experienced and the most foul smells we have ever smelled in our lives. I would only ever recommend that anyone stay away from this place. The building should be condemned and the business should not be up and running in the condition this place is in also it should not be recommended on travel websites since they are basically scamming anyone who books a room. By the time you realize just how bad it is they will not honor a refund for you. Families please do not take your children there or give them a dime.

**Hotel Review for Key Inn, Roseville** I booked a stay at Key Inn in Roseville from Friday, June 14th to Monday, June 17th, 2024, but unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations and ultimately led to my departure from the hotel. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed a pervasive and unpleasant odor throughout the premises. This persistent smell detracted significantly from the comfort of the hotel environment. Additionally, there was a notable presence of homeless individuals around the hotel entrance, which not only added to the discomfort but also raised safety concerns, especially during entry and exit times. Furthermore, the parking situation was unsettling due to the presence of homeless individuals in the vicinity, creating a sense of insecurity. This made it challenging to leave my vehicle unattended. In light of these issues affecting my stay, I promptly approached the hotel staff to discuss my concerns and requested a refund. Unfortunately, I was informed that no refund could be issued due to their policy regarding checking-in times. Consequently, I opted to find alternative accommodations and booked another hotel for the remaining three nights of my stay, incurring an additional cost of $700. This decision was driven by the combination of the unpleasant odor, safety concerns due to the presence of homeless individuals, and the discomforting parking situation at Key Inn. In conclusion, my experience at Key Inn in Roseville was marred by issues of cleanliness, safety, and overall comfort. The hotel's inability to address these concerns effectively led to an early departure and additional expenses. I hope that management addresses these issues promptly to enhance the experience for future guests.

I don’t like to leave reviews, but this place had to be reviewed. I’m reviewing the key in in Roseville, Minnesota when I first got there I was told they would match Expedia price got there and that was not true. They did not match the price after that I checked in and I made another reservation through Expedia the next day, a guy comes knocking on my door from Front Desk telling me that I had to check out at 11 and come back at three. I said why I already made my reservation and paid for it. They said because Expedia is cheaper than them if you don’t go through them and go through Expedia, you have to check out at 11 AM and come back at 3 PM or pay a $20 early check-in fee. That’s very fraudulent they make their prices on Expedia if they want you to pay more, they should raise the prices on there It in and then do something like that there’s no hot water in the building hardly at all at least where I was breakfast nothing I didn’t eat the whole time. I was there it literally toast and coffee there were people hanging out in front of the door drinking and smoking like right where you walk in at including a bunch of people walking the parking lot. It’s a very scary shady. One guy tried to proposition my 12 year old. I told Front Desk and they said oh really after that, I got up to the room there’s holes in the carpet. The room is filthy stains all over I could hear mice or something scratching in the walls to put my medication in the fridge out the fridge the Front Desk the fridge didn’t work. And I have $1800 medication that needs to be in there. She proceeded to tell me there’s a fridge OK I’m not putting $1800 Dollar medication and a communal fridge for anybody to steal anyway, I proceeded to stay even with the poor conditions until the next day the Front Desk came up to my room at 2 PM now mind you I paid for this day the day before so it was paid for 24 hours in advance. They come up and tell me your room is not paid for come to the desk so I go to the desk, when I’m supposed to be going to work I have to waste time at the desk. Tell me I’m not paid. So I show him My bank account it was paid. He said I’ll check into it so I asked next shift what’s going on? My room is paid for and the guy before you were saying it wasn’t and they miraculously found the payment. then that night the circuit in my room, the breaker has an issue so I go to the desk and ask them if they can please flip this circuit breaker because I have medication and a fridge that cannot be warm. It will ruin and it’s $1800 for the month, so the guy proceeds to tell me we don’t have an electrician here. It doesn’t take an electrician. I’ve been in hotel for 25 years to flip a circuit breaker and he says the owner doesn’t allow us to flip the circuit breaker. OK, really talk to the owner the next day and I see exactly what the guy is talking about because the owner also does not give a crap about people spending their harder and cash there The lock on my door on the inside worked very unsafe. None of them the window did not open. There was mold and mildew all over was sick. A couple of days that I woke up I’m telling you you can stay away from this place. It used to be a day in, and I can see why it probably lost its name. It should be shut down by the health department. tried to fit everything in that I don’t even even know if I told you the remote didn’t work had three different times they attempted to fix it and told me there was nothing they could do about it very unprofessional very...

Do not stay here if you care about your safety, especially if you are a young woman. Stayed here last night. At 4AM, I was woken up to the sound of someone trying to get into the room. Whoever tried to get in knocked very loudly on the door, then used a hotel key and successfully unlocked the door that was dead bolted. The only reason they did not get all the way in is because of the chain lock. Once I realized the door had been opened, I called out ā€œhello?ā€ And the person continued to try and push the door open. The person stopped trying to force the door open after my friend (male) called out hello after I did. I am a 22 year old woman and this is absolutely terrifying that this happened, especially because it seemed that they only left when they realized there was a guy in the room with me. I cannot come up with any reason that this attempt to enter the room in the middle of the night was not sinister. The person at the front desk told us that we had taken the last room so there was no reason for the employees to believe the room was empty. And after we called out hello, there was no response. There should be no reason that someone had a working key to our room and the deadbolt did not work at all. After this happened, we barricaded the door with a chair and table. In the morning, at around 7:30 AM, our keys to the door no longer worked. I spoke to the person at the front desk about what happened and was told that the person working night shift may have accidentally checked someone else into our room but this does not make sense because the person knocked very loudly before unlocking the door with a key, so they must have known someone was in the room. Again, just a really scary experience for me because I hear a lot of stories about kidnapping and trafficking. Plus, there was paint all over the carpets and holes in the blankets from cigarettes. Just really do not recommend staying here at all,...
