Terrible experience. When checking in was told they could see my choice privileges credit card linked to my account but needed the physical card I reserved the room with incase they had problems processing it.(got a offer to open the card and get 4 night free after the first $1000 called to make sure I could use it because I was leaving home before it would come in the mail was told yes to will be linked to my account) Im a gold member and asked if they had any rooms on the first floor. He said no but did I have any other requests I said maybe a room with the window to the east so I could watch the sun rise. Got a room with a window facing northwest. Thought whatever I watch it set then. Second day there was a out of order sign on the indoor hot tub asked the front desk when it would be open again they didnt know it was out of service. Asked the front desk the next morning they didnt know it was out of service either. That night the sign was down and but when entering couldn't even sit in it cause the smell of chemicals after 5 mins couldn't take it anymore. Walls must be paper thin one night sounded like the people next door was sick and throwing up half the night. Breakfast was very slim said it was open at 630 but only half the trays of warm stuff had breakfast in them. When checking out I tried to confirm it was going on the my choice master card. This lady said they couldn't charge it to that because I didnt have the physical card with me. Said she would ask the manager and give me a call back. I missed the call but when I tried to call back was placed on hold for 20 min till I got sick of waiting and hung up. So i called choice privileges and they said they sent a email to the manager and she would be in contact with me. So after 5 days I called again was told they had no record of any of it and to contact the manager so I called and left a message and she finally called me back. Told me that the front desk wouldn't have told me that because they cant see that and this is the first time she had heard about it and that the lady that checked me out had never contacted her and never got a email. regardless she didnt want to resolve the issue just told me theres no way they would have told me that when checking in. So now I got a credit check on my credit score for a credit card I couldn't use and now will never use one would think a "gold" member would be treated a little different especially after spending over $600...
Read moreThe outward appearance and location of the Comfort Inn is great. The towels were nice. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. The person in the next room had brought their dog. It was a little yapper. After being woke up at 4 am with the dog barking and then hearing it again throughout the day, I went to the front desk and asked them if they could contact the guest about it. They said they would. The next day I went to the front desk and they said they had checked the camera and there was no sign of a dog being brought in. I assured them there was a dog there. The third day I again went to the front desk and they told me they were unable to reach the guest and they would move us to another room. I knew we would be leaving early the next morning, so I said we would be fine if they would just make contact with the guest because I knew they were in the room at that time. Finally, a person from the front desk went and forcefully knocked on the door. The door was opened and a barking dog was inside. I wish they would have taken me seriously the first day! The only other issue was the breakfast. Every morning for a week, they served the EXACT same hot foods. Sausage patty and scrambled eggs. Never any bacon, biscuits, gravy or potatoes of any kind. A simple change would have been so welcomed! We actually left a day early because we just couldn't deal with another night of the barking dog or another day of the same breakfast. On the flip side, housekeeping...
Read moreWe travel every summer and do end up staying at different hotels, both in style and company ownership. This Comfort Inn was awesome. Pool was very clean, both the water and surroundings. Plenty of towels too.
The staff was kind and courteous, yes we did ask several questions about the area since we are from PA, and both the day time and night time desk managers were very polite. Just their smiles said it all!
Loved the ice cream vending machine with the vacuum hose dispenser! The kids thought it was cool too.
The rooms were very large, loads of space as you entered the doors to place luggage. Chairs were comfy and the beds were excellent! We had 2 rooms adjoining with 2 queens in each. AWESOME! Bathroom was terrific too. FRIG AND A MICROWAVE? Coffee maker? Heaven! We made White Castle burgers and drank chilled fruit waters! Ok, my wife and I did have a couple of Coors lights! ;)
Breakfast was very nice too. Pleasant workers kept everything filled.
What else can I say? I said to my wife, as we were packing to leave, "Let's come back to St. George for a third time, just to stay in this hotel." I swear I did say that.
One more thing, the pricing was AWESOMELY TERRIFIC TOO. We certainly will book another stay if we do come back to St. George again and will look, as we usually do, for other Comfort Inns on our other trips. Great Praise to all.
(Add: the Dixie Stadium fireworks were nice to see from the hill, just...
