Days Inn by Wyndham St. Petersburg Central — Hotel in Saint Petersburg

So everyone excuse my punctuation I'm writing this on talk to text I am currently traveling beware I repeat beware they are price gouging the hell out of their customers they are scamming so february 23rd 2024 I check in I think a couple hours early they wanted $50 charge to which is really absurd because the smaller Chainz don't really worry about that they'll let you check in but no not Days inn Wyndham $50 right I also let them know that online their price not on one of these travel apps on the actual website the Wyndham website it said 91 I brought that up saying don't you guys have to match the official website? They say I know that's not right it just went up you know recently today this morning so for this three-star room it was very clean and it's a nicely arranged room for a three-star hotel I got charged $211 for the stay even though on the official website it says 91.00 and then another $50 to check in a few hours but the kicker is I got charged $100 on top of all that for incidentals that was supposed to be returned to me I was talking to my bank about a different charge and I asked him about that they said that this is not a whole they charge it and they're keeping it so I called them back and they're keeping my incidental deposit on basis of miscellaneous I was the only one who stayed in my room I made sure every room I ever stay at is cleaned up nicely even if I have stuff on the floor clean up everything nothing was wrong with this room so not only are they price gouging people but they're putting miscellaneous damage no no no no record of it what damage it was and they're keeping their moneyI will be going to the better Business bureau about this and beyond I will be disputing this and if they try anything else I will be putting in a civil lawsuit cuz I can only imagine the elderly who got price gouging how many people paid over what they should have for stupid fees and miscellaneous I never once lost my incidental deposit I always take care of any room you guys want strong on me for my money you got the right one and if you guys don't believe me do it at your own risk but trust me trust me take pictures of the room every bit of it cuz a generalization called miscellaneous damage with no photos and no actual detail of any damage they keeping your money don't be a full corporate did absolutely nothing for me they're letting these franchise locations do whatever they want with no repercussion if you're going to stay at Wyndham stay at an actual corporate Wyndham do not stay at none of this trash change that they bought because they do not do anything for the customer I have been staying in their rooms for over 10 years on business trips I've stayed in their big big hotels and this is the thanks I get with the general manager about it the one who stole the money from me? Yeah that's a great plan I tell you what I want to sleep and then I'll sleep outside before I sleep in any more of their chains be consider yourself warned again excuse me for the punctuation I'm not going through all this again from talk to text to fix it if you got some kind of comprehension you'll understand it I'm literally heading to a meeting I care about us the consumers the ones who make these companies what they are I've never once called and complained not one time to this degreefor me to call and be this enraged it is real deal for me and I am living this scam right now and guess what...

I wanted to like this Motel. It has a sweet 1950s-esque charm on the outside. My family and I stayed in this motel for 2 nights. We requested a handicap room (which we did not get at first - FYI there are only 2) and the property has no rollaway beds. The original room we were assigned had excrement in the toilet, which left a foul odor in the room, and stained sheets. We were then moved to a different room. The first night we encountered 1 large dead roach. The second night, we came back after being gone all day and the pipe under the sink was gushing water every time we used the sink. We contacted the front desk. While waiting for assistance, we found and killed 2 more large roaches. We had to move the bed since one was on the headboard and found more dead roaches under the bed along with dirt, dust, and food trash. The general manager arrived 2 hours later and just knocked the pipe back in the wall, then accused us of "hitting something" to knock it out of the wall. When we told him about the roaches, he claimed they were spraying every two weeks and gave the excuse "well this is Florida". I let him know that as Florida residents we are aware it is wholly unavoidable, however I reside in an older complex in Orlando, but seem to not have the same bug problem. 2 hours later, the pipe started leaking again, but in a different area. We just put a trash can under it. This stay cost us $91 a night. I have stayed in $30 a night hotels that were cleaner. The unsanitary conditions had my party and myself cringing, but with no other rooms available, and it being past 10pm when this all happened, we just unrest-fully slept. There is probably water leaking in the walls since the pipe was just kind of knocked back in and the moisture would explain the bug problem. Front desk staff is super friendly, but the leadership gives them power to do NOTHING about...

I recently traveled to St. Petersburg for a short business trip that turned out to be not so short. Thirty days to be exact. And, to top it off... my office informed me that they booked me at the Days Inn at 650 34th St. N St. in St. Petersburg. To tell you the truth, I'm spoiled. I usually stay at the higher end hotels and was a bit miffed about that they could book me at a Days Inn, but I took it like a man and decided to give it a try. If I didn't like it, I could always change. Right?

Well, upon arrival, I was greeted by the most friendly staff and they seemed to immediately bend over backwards to make sure I was happy and comfortable. When I went to the room I was absolutely floored at how clean, spacious and modern the room was. I couldn't believe it!!! It was fabulous. The other travelers that were there, and I met many of them, felt the same way as I. The place is absolutely great. And, very family friendly as well. I'm surprised this isn't rated higher.

To make a long story short, the location is just minutes from trendy downtown St. Petersburg. There are many fast food restaurants as well as shopping within walking distance.
