A hotel ran by an imcompetent manager will never be a good hotel. If you notice, most of the one star ratings are not in regards to the hotel. The low ratings are for the same manager, Ziza G. If you encounter any issues with your hotel reservation just be prepared for no rectification.
I was told SEVERAL times, we would not be charged for the additonal night as we checked out within the time frame. Ziza G did not honor her own staff's word. Instead, because she knew she was in the wrong, called me a liar and stated her staff never told me that. It's a shame a manager would not hold her staff accountable for their ill-informed policies.
I booked a hotel for my field service technician who stayed at this hotel while he worked at the local hospital. Originally we booked for arrival on the 15th and checkout on the 16th. On Feb 15th after 4PM I called and requested to extend his stay until the 17th. They extended his stay with no issues. On Feb 16th my technician spoke to the front desk receptionist before 8AM and requested to check out as he would not have to stay until the 17th after all. The front desk receptionist said that would not be a problem as we were within the time frame to do so. My technician called me around 9AM that day to inform me he checked out of the hotel early. I called the hotel to request a receipt be emailed as my tech had checked out. Once again the front desk receptionist told me it would not be a problem and she would email me the receipt. Upon receiving the receipt, the next day (Feb 16th). I realized we were being charged for the 17th as well. I called in and spoke to another front desk receptionist who stated the credit could take a couple days to show up on the receipt but to call on Monday (Feb 20th) and ask for an updated receipt then. She also stated she would inform the manager regarding the issue. Monday (Feb 20th) I called and spoke to another front desk receptionist who stated the manager was not in but she would inform the manager regarding the situation. Tuesday (Feb 21st) I called again and requested to speak to the manager regarding the bill. Finally, I was transferred over to Ziza G. Before I could even explain the situation, she was telling me we were not within the time frame to change the reservation and the bill stood as it was. Almost, as if she had several days to review the bill but never once called me to explain… As this point, I’m frustrated. I have been attempting to reach this manager for several days. Why is the customer having to reach out to the manager? I was told there wouldn’t be an issue when my technician checked out early. If the front desk receptionists were misinformed regarding the policy, the manager should have started there. Instead she called me a liar and determined I had not spoken to several front desk receptionists regarding the bill. She hung up on me… At the end of the day, the client has to reimburse the hotel bill for my technician. My issue is not with the charge. My issue is with the fact that my technician and myself was given false information that impacted our decision. My issue is with how incompetent the manager is. The way she handled the situation. I am also a manager and am able to diffuse a situation. Ziza G would rather argue and call people liars and hang up like a toddler. I eventually spoke to customer service who apologized for the entire situation and offered to credit the stay for another Best Western. I declined the credit. I would rather just rate the hotel for what the manger makes of it. A ZERO! If given the chance to select any other hotel, I would recommend to do so. I want to state the front desk receptionists were always polite during this entire matter. I appreciated their help with the situation. I hope they can receive the proper training regarding the...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel earlier this month for less than 12 hours while on business in Salt Lake City. The room was fine but when I arrived at my next destination the morning I checked out, I realized I left 4 meaningful (but not very valuable) rings in the hotel bathroom. I immediately called & was told to check back in 20 min or so once housekeeping would be able to check for them. I did and was told my rings were located - ok, great! I was instructed to email a prepaid shipping label to the hotel front desk which I did the very next day so I could have them returned to me. Several days later, the tracking showed no movement or proof that the postal service had received the package. I called the hotel and was told they had been shipped a few days earlier. I though, ok, it’s a busy time for USPS so I’ll give it a few days to let the tracking catch up. A few days later, still no movement. I sent another email to the hotel asking for any information and it took 2 days to get a reply before I was told “I’ll look into this and get back to you.” It’s now been nearly 3 weeks since my stay and I haven’t heard another word from the hotel. I’ve called Best Western customer service to try & have them assist me in getting info and the hotel tells them my items were dropped off and they called the post office to follow up but can’t get any info because the person who paid for the label has to call. The problem is, I have no idea what post office they were supposedly taken to because no one will give me that information. I simply want my items back. Every interaction I’ve had with the staff at this hotel either via phone or email, I have been polite, patient & cordial. I just don’t understand how the items I left behind were confirmed to be found by hotel staff, I was made to pay for a shipping label and yet I still don’t have my items or have any idea where they are. They were last in possession of the staff here, someone should be able to tell me where they should be or where they left them last. Supposedly, the “driver” dropped them off - ok, who, where, when? You can blame the postal service all you want, but as of now, there’s no evidence the postal service has ever received the package so I can’t know that for sure. The last people in possession of my rings were the staff at this hotel and they’ve gone missing so until I’m able to get additional information or answers, I’d just warn other travelers to be sure and not leave something sentimental behind because you may never see it again.
Edited in reply to hotel's comment: According to Google and the direct number for this post office you listed, this location has been shut down for some time, so not sure how my package would have been shipped from there. Also, the number you left is for the general USPS customer service and again, they have no information on the package because they have never received it. Glad someone finally provided me with info (even though it didn't get me anywhere) since my emails to the hotel have gone unanswered. Sad that it took me leaving a Google review to get a response...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! June 6 was the night me and my sister arrived at 11:45 pm after a nonstop 11 hr drive to this hotel . Alex was the guy in front desk that checked me in and gave me a keycard to room 322 , when we both went to the room the door on the outside had a sign that said do not disturb which was odd. We thought they forgot to remove it. When I placed the keycard on the door it got green and I pushed the door in but I felt resistance , I tried again and when I opened the door all the way ( didn’t go in ) it was dirty and the sheets where on the ground and I heard a sound that people were the room so I stepped out . I went downstairs and explained to Alex what just had happened and he got into the computer didn’t say anything and after 5 minutes he said “ are you sure it was dirty “ . I told him to go up there himself . At this time it was already passed 12 am . He had checked in two couples when I was first and waiting for room in the meantime. After several minutes He gave me a second keycard room 330( didn’t say anything about the situation or apologized). And the same thing was at the door , a sign that said “ do not disturb” . I knocked to make sure and waited and nothing . I put the keycard and it turned green after trying to push the door a door latch locked stopped me from fully opening the door and there were lights on inside the room . Unbelievable !I went downstairs and was very frustrated. When I told him again what just had happened , he went into the computer and then picked up his personal phone ( didn’t explained at all what he was doing ). After a dad with two kids came inside the hotel room check in and waiting while he was on the phone . I asked him after 15 minutes of waiting , can you please explained to me what’s going on? He said he was talking to his manager and figuring out what happen to those rooms . It was already approx 12:35 am . He then stopped the phone call and said I’m gonna check this people in . I said please give me a keycard with a clean and unoccupied room because I was here before and had been waiting for over 1 hr already . He ignored what I said and checked them in and then gave me a keycard room number 220 and walked us to the room . The room was clean and no one was in it. And all he said was “ sorry for the misunderstanding “. Later the next day I spoke to one of the housekeepers and they said that those two room were never dirty , THEY WERE BOTH OCCUPIED . I have then tried speaking to the maneger fours time , but she’s “ Never there “, left messages and sent emails . And nothing. I been traveling by myself for a long time and staying in hotels alone . And this experience had changed forever the way I view hotels . I felt extremely uncomfortable, unsafe and mad. The fact that you can give a key to whoever on a occupied room and anyone can go in it’s unbelievable, and this should never happen . I don’t recommend this hotel at all . Horrible services and zero accountability with the staff and manager . DO...
