I had the worst experience at this motel at my last two days. The biggest issue was the shower. The shower water was so slow. I was assigned to the first floor but moved to the second floor due to the water issue. The room on the second floor had the same issue. I had to call the front desk and complained about the slow running water with the shower. Their response was ok we will check the maintenance room but everyday during my stay the slow shower situation was on my nerves . There was no conditioner only a half shampoo, one soap and three medium towels when I moved to the second floor. Not to mention the hallway had leaves all over from outside and the carpet was dirty. I was excited when I checked in on the first day because the front desk was cleaned and looked brand new , however the hallway carpet was dirty and older, very unattractive! I was disappointed about the way Irfan treated me when my daughter had an accident in our room dirtying the bed sheets. It was unexpected and out of my control. At any hotels, they are supposed to change the bed sheets and clean the rooms + provide new items to use, but this motels expectation was we clean it ourselves. Irfan tried to kick us out saying we were not getting a refund because we messed up the room. How? All because my daughter had an accident (diarrhea) which was out of my control but they wanted to over charge me and kick us out? But knew their water situation but couldn’t fixed? when I raised my voice and complained about the shower Irfan said “ok I’ll give you the key to your room” however, he gave me another persons room key. He was frustrated with me. I came back downstairs and handed him back the key because it was another person room key. If I didn’t complain about the shower he would’ve kicked us out. Next time you try to argue with your customers and treat them the way you treated me make sure your motel place is 100% cleaned with no slow running water problems. When I checked in they charged me $100 for the deposit. The day I checked out I didn’t get a refund because they said my daughter messed up the room. Were there any writings on the wall? Nope! I thought that would’ve been an ok reason to take the full deposit. But the sheets were the only dirty items because of an accident my daughter made. But they charged me the full deposit $100 and an extra $50 + a $100 from my brothers room was added on my card without my authorization. A total of $250 was charged but the sheets doesn’t cost $250. How is that possible? I was disappointed and will never stay at this motel. If it was a 5star motel and no slow running water situation the $250 charge would’ve been ok but these Indian owners are racist. I don’t recommend anyone to stay at this motel unless you like to wait 10 mins for the water to run faster then up to you. They refused to refund at least a $100 for my brothers room that was charged on my card without my authorization. Very disappointed! In this case, I have filed a lawsuit against this place due to refusing a refund of my deposit, over charging my card for extra $50 + an additional $100 for my brothers room on my card without my authorization. When I called them to sort it out, they kept telling me to call the next day at 2pm so their manager could talk me. I called as they said but kept lying saying the manager is in a meeting. Meeting for three hours? I never got to spoke to the manager but Irfan made the decision and said his decision was final. And when I complained about their water situation Irfan said “ma’am why didn’t you go to another hotel then” really? Is that how you serve people? In that unprofessional manner by trying to kick them out? If I knew about the slow running water I wouldn’t even booked a stay at your motel sir! If you knew about the water was going to run slow because more people were using simultaneously why not inform your guests upfront before assigning them a room? If I knew you wouldn’t charge me extra $150 when the deposit was only $100 I would’ve changed my mind and find another better...
Read moreThis is should be a 40-50$ hotel. If I could give no stars I would. It wasn't the cheapest in the area, it was a decent middle ground, so we thought it would be clean and safe. We arrived very late and tired around 2am, low expectations. Clean and safe, only requirements. The staff said the remodel was done, however upon our first walk down the hallway, the paint is unfinished, vents tore up fixtures in rough repair. This is fine, we just want clean.Passing rooms with open doors, flickering lights, alittle spooky. Fine. One of the light fixtures in the ceiling was leaking water. Whatever its not in our room, we're tired, we'll deal with that tomorrow. We try the key in the door, it's not working. At this point, we can tell this is a crappy hotel and we've just wayyyy over paid and we don't want to stay here but is 2am and we don't want to have to deal with going to a different hotel. We just try to open the door thinking well with everything else we would not be surprised if the door was even locked. It was not locked. It could not be locked unless you were inside with the manual locks. Again, 2am, beat. Fine well just lock it from the inside, get a refund for our second night tomorrow and stay somewhere else. Room seemed "cleanish", linens seemed clean, however there was hair on the pillows. Floor was sticky, there was dribble on the toilet seat. Still, we're tired, we'll deal with it. We went to the front desk and told the night auditor about the hairs and to get new pillows, he then started explaining how many pillows each room gets per bed, we get that however I just want some clean pillows. He responded with that he doesn't have access to more pillows. After a long back and forth of trying to understand how the night auditor doesn't have access to pillows we then asked if there are so many empty parking spots at such a large hotel, there must be some clean rooms with extra pillows. He asked if we want to switch rooms, we've already put our stuff down no i don't want to go through the trouble. Then he took off for about ten minutes and came back with some pillows. Thank you.On the way back to the room, we discover there's a dead mouse in the hallway near our room. At this point I will also mention there is a 11/2 inch gap under all of the room doors. Pretty sure that's not up to fire code, but alas, we just need to sleep and leave as soon as possible in the morning. The remote for the TV did not work. So we could plainly hear the next door neighbors conversation. As a positive the ac was cold. At this point we delve into the reviews we didn't read before booking. Never doing that again. We left well before check out.Getting a refund for our room even just for our second night that we would not be using was a whole other experience. It took 3 visits back through 3 days and even then we had to go directly to the 3rd party booking ourselves only to find the gm never actually requested it. We are still pending a refund. Save your time and headache, stay somewhere else. We should have left...
Read moreTl;dr version: 1. shuttle worker broke our phone, absolutely no chain of accountability 2. No elevators
Stayed Friday night for $97. Shuttle is available but the driver expects a tip so might as well take an uber. The shuttle to the hotel was timely and the driver was very nice, opened the luggage compartment door upon arrival, helped us load it on and off, was very cordial. Did not realize the driver worked for tips (assumed that the hotels would pay them) but he deserved every dollar.
HOWEVER, on our way TO the airport, turns out you need to reserve the shuttle in advance otherwise you end up waiting 15-20 mins. Staff made no mention of this(only said the shuttle “runs throughout the day until 12:30am”, gives very different impression) but fine, whatever.
This driver, upon arrival, just sat in the drivers seat for a good couple of minutes. Not wanting to waste time, we opened one of the luggage compartment doors and started loading our luggage. My boyfriend put his phone down on the van to free up his hands in the process. The driver then waddles over out of nowhere, tries to be helpful by stuffing the luggage and knocks his phone to the concrete ground in the process. Sees it, makes a grunt, and just goes back to the drivers seat. Once inside the car we realized the screen itself cracked& is blacked out because of it.
The only reason we didnt make a bigger deal out of it is because we were on the road, we really needed to catch the plane so couldnt risk any fuss making us late, and it was an old phone and we were thinking about changing his phone anyway. But jesus. Absolutely no help and when he does do something he does it so carelessly he knocks my bf’s phone over.
Hotel said the shuttle would go to departures but the driver got a call in the middle of driving from a couple of passengers who were looking to be picked up from the airport so he just drops us off at the ground transportation level (2 floors below the departures floor for anyone unfamiliar with SLC airport’s layout.)
As for the hotel itself,
The website we used to book had no mention that there are no elevators in this establishment. Something that would have been useful to know since we had a lot of luggage. Staff themselves were fine, kind of hard to communicate with (ex. I told the hotel guy our flight was supposed to be at 8:11 and he kept saying 11 oclock?) but honestly fine. Rooms were adequate enough, breakfast was pretty okay too. But the no elevator thing is a real problem. I would have saved so much time and effort just booking somewhere else for 20 dollars or so more. The proximity to the airport is essentially meaningless because the shuttle takes so long you might as well just get somewhere further and take an uber. Just avoid& go...
