I want to be clear that we are staying here because this was one of few places Delta have is to choose from. Our flight was cancelled so they gave us vouchers for our hotel and for our meals. Room was clean and cute. I checked the mattress and all is good. I like to do a once over before I get in bed. The front desk staff was fantastic and super nice. My issue is with the on-site restaurant. It was close to closing so I was mindful and asked if we can still order Togo. They said of course. I told them we had vouchers and they said no problem. I had 6 vouchers worth $15 each. My husband and I ordered a steak, tacos, wings, and a brownie. She immediately rang it in which I appreciate so the kitchen staff could cook before they close. Our server’s name is Elassandra ( I’m assuming the spelling forgive me ). She gave us the bill which is $60.90 . She asks me how many vouchers do I have and I reluctantly said 6 $90 worth. She then decides to tell me that I have to use a voucher per item and that I would have to pay the difference of the steak and that she couldn’t do anything about it because of their pos setup is “old.” I said so each voucher per item? What happens to the balance she said it’s automatic and that I won’t have a balance. I wasn’t thrilled and was caught off guard and wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. I asked her to please take the steak off and go ahead and use the voucher for brownie, wings, and tacos. I said I only want to use 3 vouchers. She asked for my phone ( I was naive and trusted her). I am only a few feet away from watching her use the pos. She is going to town readjusting the items to different tickets. She then starts rolling through the vouchers so fast. I stopped her and said only 3 vouchers correct? She said 5…you said I could use 5 if I can spilt the steak. I said no I asked you to take off the steak and only use 3 and you even confirmed it. She ok 3. A few minutes go by and my husband speaks with the front desk about what’s going on. They come over while she gives me our food abruptly and I asked her again you only used 3 correct? She said yes 3. I then asked for her name again. The front desk guy( I’m sorry I forgot to get his name) is asking if we they can put the bill on our room and will try to redeem the vouchers that way. I said no she already redeemed the vouchers. I also told him what happened and he was very hesitant on agreeing with me. I also explained that this seems really off. I really want to give the staff the benefit of the doubt but she is shady. This is an airport hotel and you know they deal with this all the time. If she was up front with me about how the vouchers work I would’ve had a different experience and would have done things differently. The way she was typing on that computer…she knows what she is doing. Our bill was only About $31 and I have to trust that she only used 3($45 total). This blows…I was ready to give her a $20 cash with our original bill of $60.90. I’m heading out to that airport early in the morning and have to hope the rest of my vouchers work for our breakfast at the airport. I’ll...
Read moreI had a 13 hour day of travel before arriving here a bit past midnight. This hotel had one job and one job only - to allow me to sleep before I had to leave at 9 AM. As a note, I have stayed at hotels (look at my TA reviews) all over the globe. This was one of the worst I have stayed at.
Problem 1. This hotel was obviously designed by someone who anticipated never having anyone stay there. I parked my car and schlepped my 50 lb suitcase and 20 pound backpack into the hotel. There are no signs anywhere so I just started wandering. The elevator is WAYYYYY away from the front enterance. It is a long distance to travel with luggage. One would think they would have luggage carts or something to accomodate the 1/4 mile walk to the elevator but no.
I enter the elevator and try to use my digitial key for floor 4. It does not work. So, now I have to schlep my 70 pounds of luggage back to the front desk. Super fun at 12 am, right??!!
Come to find out that they did not activate my key - no idea why since it was active on the app but way to go front desk staff. I asked the front desk to have someone call me about this later (remember this in a few).
I get to the room, unpack and go into the bathroom only to find that the lights don't work! I called down to the front desk and they had to send someone up with new room keys. So, now I have to re-pack and move to another room at 12:30 AM. Perfect! BTW, the staff didn't seem to care in the least about this. No apology - just a "eh, looks like we have to call maintenance."
Also I paid for a room with a balcony and the room I got transferred to had no balcony. Also, going back to the room design - the lights are impossible to figure out - there is a lamp in the back of the room with no on/off switch and no switch on the wall! It should NOT be this difficult to figure out how to turn on a lamp!?
The one redeeming quality here was that the fitness center was nice.
Again - I asked for a manager to contact me and no one did. Instead, I got a "Sorry for the trouble" email from Marriott with 500 bonus points.
wooohooo! Nothing says sorry for ruining your night like 1/36th of a hotel stay in the future!
Avoid this hotel at all costs. Not worth...
Read moreI booked a room at the four points by sheredon in salt lake City by the airport. There has been several issues that we have run into, there is construction happening here throughout the day, when I went up to the front desk to purchase drinks, there was no one there, I waited than said hello and there was no answer, I went to the office door and addressed the front desk clerk only to have her roll her eyes at me and have an attitude with no greeting. Once she got on the computer I gave her my name and and room number she said that I didn't have a card on file. I assured her twice and even let her know they charged me $50 for incidentals, she huffed and said it was added to my room, only to have her greet a female customer behind me and begin to laugh and entertain her. The WiFi is terrible, our refrigerator barely works and wines. The pool is open but only to those doing laps and that's it. The bar is listed as having tastings everynight but this as well isn't correct as the bar is closed until the company passes they can open it. We based our decision to book this offer from hotwire because of the immensities and the name of the hotel. Very disappointed and aggravated so far. We are traveling the country hiking camping and staying in hotels and expect better and more accurate hotel listings.
We booked our room through hotwire.com and spoke with 4 different representatives between chat and on the phone. We asked for a partial refund and were told because we checked in early with no fee that we were not going to recieve a refund or anything by Kathy a rep representative supervisor at hotwire. So either the front desk rep or hotwire is lying to us. 0 customer service or satisfaction.
I have attached photos of the conversation between 2 reps and myself. These messages completely contradicted what the supervisor said and offered us.
As you can see from one of the photos that I circled a offer John from hotwire offered me than he continued to offer less and less and double back on what he had said.
DO NOT USE HOTWIRE AMD OR STAY...
