I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this Quality Inn, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I arrived at the airport, my troubles began. Despite multiple calls, I waited over an hour for the shuttle that never showed up, leaving me frustrated and stranded. Upon finally reaching the hotel, my hopes for a pleasant stay quickly evaporated. The room was riddled with issues that went beyond mere inconveniences. The lights inside flickered, the tv wouldn’t turn on, and the microwave was broken. The state of the furniture was equally appalling. The desk chair had a wet seat, leaving me wondering if it had been recently cleaned or if it was simply neglected. The couch cushions were horribly deformed, providing no comfort whatsoever. And the lounge chair, to my horror, displayed an unsightly stain that was hard to miss. It was a clear indication of a lack of attention to cleanliness and maintenance. As if these problems weren't enough, the pool and hot tub were in a shocking state. Despite it being July, they appeared neglected and unsightly. It was evident that no effort had been made to maintain them, leaving them unappealing and unhygienic. Overall, my stay at was an absolute disaster. The lack of a reliable shuttle service, coupled with the myriad of issues in the room, made for an incredibly disappointing experience. I expected at least a moderate level of comfort and cleanliness, but sadly, this hotel fell far short of meeting the most basic expectations. I would strongly advise against staying here unless significant improvements are made.

The person working the front desk was less than friendly. She didn’t explain or give info on WiFi, breakfast, pool access/hours, etc. or even confirm my check out date. The place is being renovated so I don’t think they are even serving breakfast right now which is one of the reasons I stayed here and not an air bnb. Upon entering my room, there was grime in the bathtub and a hair tie that belonged to a previous guest on the bathroom floor, visible even outside the bathroom under the door. Leaves me very concerned about the cleaning standards if something so obvious was missed, especially since cleaning measures are supposedly heightened due to the pandemic. The driver of the airport shuttle didn’t even greet me when I got in, never said a word. Another passenger got out and opened the back and helped with my suitcase. If you’re looking for a place just to rest your eyes for the night, the bed was comfortable enough but the rest of the experience left something to be desired.

The staff were very friendly. The rooms were questionable. When i walked into the room, I had a very overwhelming smell of bleach. The room was clean, but the smell was just too much. The bathroom tub/shower faucet was broken. They fixed it with another broken handle to turn it on. The water never got very warm. Parking was not easy to park in or navigate. The exercise room was closed. It was not really a big deal to me, but it was one more thing I found not working. Breakfast, meh, the eggs looked and tasted like they were rehydrated powdered eggs. The sausage was good. The coffee was hot and strong, and I liked it. The bed was as hard as the floor. I hope I do not get the chance to stay there again. I was in so much pain the next day due to the bed. It was cheap, so.....

Worst customer service ever. First , I arrived at 2:30pm, check in is at 3:00, guy at the front desk had attitude with the guest in front of me when the guest simply asked if he could check in early, he said there are no rooms available 3:00. So I sat there, as did the other guest until 3;00 exactly and rooms were all the sudden available. Whatever, check in at 3:00 , petty, but not a huge deal . At 3:00 a girl checked me in, she was cold and it felt awkward she informed me of 100.00 refundable deposit. I paid the deposit in cash since the room was booked online . During my stay, we walked around outside and there was a canal or pond on the grounds, it had cute fish swimming around , it also had tons of trash, I filled a garbage bag full of random trash including a big smokers cig butt disposal stand. My sister , who smokes, put her cigg butts into a cup she was carrying. Checked out 2 days later and I forgot I put a cash deposit. So had to backtrack our route by over a hour and go back to hotel . When I got there the cold non friendly girl opens the safe and my deposit is not there. She calls the manager who says I don't get my deposit because there was cigarette butts in the room, in the trash. I don't smoke. My sister would never smoke inside anywhere. I explained this and told her my sister put butts into a cup including ones from pond instead of throwing them on the ground and she actually said to me, there are.plenty of places to throw out butts so that makes no sense. She kept rebutting everything I said and adding more like "well there was ashes on the windowsill" impossible. I said wouldn't the room smell like cigarettes? She said it did smell like cigarettes. Not true. So I got nowhere and finally left, out a $100.00 deposit. Not to mention how dirty and cluttered the place was. Breakfast was the worst with only waffle or rice crispies, that's all. I do not recommend this place , never have I been treated so poorly or had a deposit kept. Felt like a family of teenagers were running the place and they had no common politeness. It was such a bad and humiliating experience when the front desk girl was refusing to give me my deposit and accusing me of smoking , this happened in front of...

Get what you pay for I guess.

Hotel is small and dingy. Carpets are stained, bathrooms smell a little like old urine, mildew and a damp basement. Linens were clean smelling but had old stain marks and tears on them. Entire building has an unpleasant odor that's been covered up with strong cleaning agents. Room was too warm because AC would only run for 5 minutes at a time. TV and fridge worked, water was nice and hot. Only 2 towels in bathroom for 4 guests but they gave me a couple more when I asked. Keycards only work for 24 hours then you are locked out of your room and have to have the cards programmed again. Room was updated some time in the past and I would have hated to see what it was like before because it's in rough shape right now: stains, scuffs, mold, cobwebs abound. The rooms need a real good deep cleaning, airing out and to have damaged parts properly repaired. Had to clean up too spots of feces on the bathroom floor...no idea where that came from (no indications we tracked anything in on our shoes but it's always possible, the sidewalk had a few sketchy folks hanging about and a feces smell). They only do housekeeping every 3 days and housekeeping spoke zero English when we asked for new towels on our second day but someone was there to translate and it all worked out. Housekeeping had their small child with her but she was very well behaved and I understand you have to do what you have to do. Still, that might bother some people. The parking situation was fine, well lit considering how sketchy the hotel was. There is a gas station connected to the parking lot which is nice because the SLC airport is 5-10 miles from most stores. The front desk staff was polite, not overly helpful or friendly, but adequate. The included breakfast is a surprise for such a cheap hotel.

All in all, if you need a cheap overnight room and you don't mind taking chances this place was at least tolerable and half the price of the...

WORST TREATMENT EVER!!! THE MANAGERS LIE!!!! Awful experience with manager here. Made a reservation online, no cancelation policy for the rate. Wasn't planning on canceling. Website said that they have an airport shuttle and that was what we were counting on. When I called to see how much it would cost to park my car there for the time we were gone the manager Irasema informed me that they along with most of the motels in area no longer allowed people to leave their cars there while using the airport shuttle. Then proceeded to tell me people park at the airport and then take the shuttle back to the motel and then back to the airport. So I called around to 12 of the surrounding motels. NONE of them do this. When I called her back after calling Choice hotels to see if they could help, she denied the one time courtesy cancellation and then when I told her I called around, she specifically mentioned that the La Quinta also had the same policy and she told me that. She did not tell me that. In the mean time as I was voicing my concerns, she didn't hang up on my but must have just put the phone down. I could hear background noise, but no one was there. I called over to the La Quinta and spoke to Isaac. He was awesome. He said that they infact DO allow people to leave their cars parked at their facility for the best rate around of $3 a night while the others were all around $10. He also said that if I couldn't cancel at the Quality Inn that we were more than welcome to park at their facility, even if we didn't book a night with them. I tried to call Irasema back at the Quality Inn, I got no answer and decided it wasn't worth being treated so badly again. So I called over at La Quinta, explained to Isaac what was happening, he gave me a stellar rate and was so kind. So now I am paying for a motel room I won't use, as I am afraid of how I would be treated in person if I were...
