If I could give this review 100 stars, I would ask for a 1,000! Honestly, words can't descrive how phenomenal this venue is. Lets start with the manor itself: Incredibly cleanly kept, preserved since 1887. Six couples stayed in each of the six rooms with an awe of admiration. There are so many unique details throughout the house to really drive in the fact that you are sleeping at a Victorian Era Mansion (at it's time the most expensive home in San Diego!), eating and living like an aristocrat. We had our ceremony and reception outside in the courtyard. The green wall, lights, statue of an angel, and the magnificant tree all played a key role in creating a magical atmosphere! There is also an upstairs to the mansion that has a huge living room, small dining room and kitchen. In this space, we held a Grand Gatsby Murder Mystery party! My first murder mystery ever! All the 30 guests dressed "spiffy" in the 1920s style as a bartender was serving drinks idiosyncratic to that era. All this could not have been possible without the unmatched support and love of the staff and coordinators!
We had the venue to ourselves from Friday to Sunday. On Friday we played our Murder Mystery upstairs and had the full support of the management team that allowed us to hire bartender and let us do whatever we wanted.
Leading to the wedding, we met with the cook to pick our food and we couldn't narrow down our options. My husband and I both have a different pallets and they really work with us to create a menu. Oh and the food! The food!! I didnt care if I looked fat in the my wedding dress, as long as I got to stuff as much of the food as possible in my mouth. Every guest was boasting about how unique and gormet the food was. I felt like I was catering from a 5 star ultra-pricey restaurant. Then we met with the bartender that made insanely delicious and delicate drinks. On the day of the wedding, our guests ordered "The Mila" or the "Roman", which of course were completely opposite. Then there is Aly! She was my heaven sent angel-of-a-coordinator. From the day that we met, her calm voice and organizational skills took my stress from an 8/10 to -2/10. Made me feel so much better about where I was in the wedding planning process.
The day of the wedding, I just stopped caring about getting things done and completely let go of control. I did that with 100% trust that the team got it. Aly and the team set up the whole reception area just the way I wanted, coordinatred with the florist, the DJ, cake, and painter. They even had head pieces to talk to each that looked really cool! There was even a moment where I mixed up the tables with the table numbers and accidentaly had the wedding party far away from us. One of the staff came up to me and said "would you like the wedding party close to you or have the family close to you?". I told them "bridal party" (which was backward from how I originally had it). They quickly changed things up. When I went over to Aly to apologize, she calmy and with a smile said "It's ok, it's all good. Go and enjoy your day!" And promptly sent an attendant to give me a "Mila" drink. One of my favorite parts was having several personal attendants to just us for the whole day and night. And Bernie! We loved our attendenat for the weekend! He is the most adorable, sweet guy we've ever met!
In summation, I love Britt Scripps Manor, Aly, Bernie, bartenders, and staff!! If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind wedding or event, just stop by the venue and you'll look no further!! Now we can't wait for our vow renewal to celebrate...

Ben was super helpful in working with our budget so that we could could have our dream day.
Noban cooked “some of the best salmon I have had in my life” as my husband told everyone. Our guests all raved about the food- and they had a personal server for us that night so we actually got to eat the food!
Aly was beyond organized and on top of everything. She took care of everything and did it in such a composed manor that she calmed me of any stress I might have.
Bernie is the best. He took care of us and our overnight guests and always had a smile on his face. He was sooo helpful in our set up and preparations the day before and cleaning up the day after.
The venue itself is amazing. The details that went into the remodel are really impressive. A lot of time and love were put into this house and it shows. Having the house all weekend was just the best. We had our rehearsal there the day before with a taco stand and got to spend the evening with our close family relaxing and enjoying time together. I got to sleep in and roll out of bed and up to the 3rd floor’s secret room behind the bookshelf to get my hair and makeup done. I already felt comfortable in the house and it kept my stress level so low. It was great that after the wedding we could hang around with our family and not worry about packing up or forgetting things there because we could deal with it all the next day.

Ben and Aly joined Britt Scripps late in our planning process so honestly, I was a little nervous but decided to just roll with it. I’m so glad I did! They have so much experience and it absolutely shows. Aly helped me tie up all of the last minute details and made sure I thought of everything. Then, on the day of the wedding, she and her assistant were on top of EVERYTHING! I never had to think about anything except having fun. Aly even packed up all of our stuff at the end of the night so well, I probably could have returned a few things to Amazon. ;)
One of the biggest reasons we chose the Manor was the hotel rooms come with it. We had a destination wedding and it was so important to make sure our closest friends and family got to spend quality time with us. Ben helped us assign rooms so everyone was comfortable and the checkin/checkout process was smooth and easy. And there parking is included!!!! Not just for your guests staying at the manor, but for all of the wedding guests too. How awesome is that?
Even if you don’t care about anything else, the food here would make it the perfect place! Noban was so great to work with. We gave him a couple suggestions for our tasting and he went overboard with amazing choices! We really appreciated the time he spend with us to make sure everything was perfect. And when we second guessed ourselves on one of the appetizers, he immediately responded with a couple back up choices that blended perfectly.
Our overall experience with Britt Scripps was just awesome....
