I haven't written this review for a few months and gave my favorite place a chance. 3 years ago I went to Extraordinary for the first time, and since then I've loved this restaurant. THERE USED TO BE EXCELLENT SERVICE. Both desserts and cuisine were top notch. BUT ONE DAY 2 months ago, when I was fasting, we came to Extraordinary in the evening. We ordered 1 portion of Caesar panini - it's a toast made from ciabatta bread and a filling similar to Caesar salad. I ALWAYS ORDER THIS DISH!!! And then THEY BROUGHT US CAESAR SALAD instead of what we ordered. And I politely asked to change it. Because we were hungry and I WANTED CAESAR PANINI TOAST. AND THE WAITER (A NICE GIRL) brought us the toast that I originally ordered. AND THEN ⤵️ BOTH THE CAESAR SALAD AND THE CAESAR PANINI TOAST AND THE PLATE WITH SALMON WERE WITH HAIR!!! A few hairs were here and there!!!! I HAVE A PHOTO!!! IT COULDN'T HAVE FALLEN FROM OUR HEADS BECAUSE WE WERE WEARING A HIJAB 😅 and our hair IS ABSOLUTELY NOT VISIBLE!!! BUT WE WANTED TO EAT, and so we calmly removed our hair, and didn't say anything to anyone!!! And calmly continued to eat!
And I didn't write a bad review! Because I liked this place so much!!! Because I give it a second chance! But a month ago, my daughter and I came to eat my favorite Caesar panini 🫰🏼💛 I asked to make it without meat. At the checkout, they asked me "DO YOU WANT SMOKED SALMON?" I said yes. Plus, we ordered pastries. I paid and didn't take the check. Then they brought me a completely different dish ‼️‼️‼️I called the waiter and said "I didn't order it." THIS GIRL WAS VERY RUDE. SHE ROLL HER EYES 😵💫🙄 ALTHOUGH WHAT PROBLEM COULD BE??? If you have my check in your database!!! Which I paid 10 minutes ago!!! THEN THIS GIRL SAYS: "I CAN'T HELP YOU" AND CALLED THE ADMINISTRATOR.
A MAN, THE MANAGER, COMES UP, AND START TO BE RUDE TO US (WHICH I REALLY, REALLY DID NOT EXPECT) 😬😬😬 DID NOT SAY HELLO!!! AND SAYS "WHATS GOING ON???" 😬🙄😑 Of course I was shocked, I couldn’t say anything from this surprise. And we calmly explain to him that “I ordered a Caesar panini toast, they asked me to add salmon and I agreed, I don’t even know if they added it to the check, I didn’t look at what I paid for and didn’t ask for the check! But I didn’t order another dish! Please change it to my Caesar panini” (I told him literally two or three sentences) AND ATTENTION: WHAT DOES THIS MANAGER ANSWER: what’s going on??? WITH A HORRIBLE, RUDE TONE AND PUTTING HIS HANDS ON EACH OTHER!!! 😵💫 I was shocked, my daughter was shocked and began to explain to him “we just made an order 10 minutes ago, you can open your system or ask the girl who took the order." HE ARGUED AND SAID THAT HE COULDN'T CHANGE THIS DISH!!! And when my daughter started to respond to him in a stern tone saying that we ordered something else, he took the plate away with a displeased face and brought my long-awaited Caesar toast panini🫤😬
HOW CAN I GO TO THIS CAFE AFTER THIS??? They made such mistakes with the kitchen twice in a row!!! Desserts are my love! And they can't be spoiled, they are already ready and lying in the refrigerator. But the kitchen is a disaster! Previously, a year or two ago, there was ideal, pleasant, friendly service. (One waiter was a kind, handsome man!). And now they are attacking me because I asked for my order!!!! In general, I am in shock! And I cannot visit such a place after such an attitude!!! I tell everyone I advertised this place to my friends!!! and all my friends from San Diego know about this place from me!!! And I have posted a recommendation on Instagram many times!!! And even my friends from Los Angeles came to this restaurant!!! But now I will tell and show these photos to all my friends! So that they know where they are going and what to expect from you. WE OFTEN DINNER IN DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS IN THE CITY, and this is the first time I have seen such an attitude!!! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED AND IT IS VERY SORRY FOR ME TO PARTING WITH YOU!!!

Came here at 6pm when I was in the area. The line was very short. It took me 15 minutes to get to the front of the line, and placed my order. Server was attentive.
I ordered a slice of lemon ricotta cake, flourless chocolate cake, white chocolate cheesecake, and passion fruit tart.
Lemon Ricotta Cake: what a surprise. It has a strong lemon flavor, and it is not overly sweet. It was delicious.
White chocolate cheese cake: it was very creamy, but has a lack of flavor. I will not order it again.
Flourless chocolate cake: it is my all time favorite, and it never disappoints me! It is always rich in the chocolate flavor with great texture.
Passion fruits tart: this is another surprise. The flavor of the passion fruit was strong. However, it is slightly towards the sweet side.
Dessert was perfect pairing with coffee or tea (personal recommendation). Street parking only.
This place had a line when I got here at 10:15pm! I waited for 1 hour before I could order for my dessert. The desserts are along the pricy side. I tried their strawberry short cake and flourless gluten free chocolate cake. The portion was huge!
Strawberry short cake: it was 2 pieces of short cake with lots of cream and strawberries in between! I did not find this special, and was a little disappointed! The short cake was a bit too dry!
The flourless gluten chocolate cake: the chocolate was very rich, and i felt like my night was completely satisfied after I finished this! The cake made with chocolate mousse, which I love a lot!
*P.S. street parking. Ladies: wear flats, as you will be standing in line for at lease an hour even though the line was not too long. What I observed was that big parties did not know what they wanted, and they tended to make decisions when it was their turn, which caused a...
