-10 stars is what they deserve, I booked a room trough Hotels.com, this is an account I made many years ago when I was going by my single last name, even though I married and changed my last name I didn't update my account but I always used it and never have had a problem with it, credit cards and IDs are updated with my name change both have the same. My reservation was for today (05-30-21) and I am aware the check in time is 3PM, however I stopped by around 9AM and asked the front desk lady that since I had booked a city tour if it was ok to leave my car and return in the afternoon for the check in time, she asked me my information and went to verify that everything was ok in the computer and after couple of minutes told me she had saw my reservation and that everything was ok and to leave my car. After a long day of seeing sites and tours I came back around 6PM, a different person was at the front desk and when she asked my information then told me my reservation was canceled Because reservation name and credit card name was different and I didn't have a room after all (this is memorial weekend) when I told her about the other employee in the morning checking my information and telling me everything was ok she told me they are too busy to.be checking every detail in each reservation. I told her if they have the contact info of every guest and why they didn't tell me about it sooner she claimed again the being too busy BS. At this point I was already upset and frustrated so I turned around to leave and she stopped me saying she can get me a room but with new rate of $60 more of the original rate, and tapping her hand in the desk to rush me she demanded an answer of yes or no if want the room or not. In my distress and overwhelming frantic episode to get to my destination, I booked the cheapest location en route. Huge mistake! You get what you pay for.||||I stayed at the EZ 8 Motel Old Town. The place feels sleazy; once I was inside, it confirmed my gut feeling. I have numerous pictures and a video. But aside from the lackluster amenities, the staff was nothing short of rude, unprofessional, and unscrupulous. When I called Agoda for help, they ācontactedā the hotel, and nothing was resolved. I had booked my stay for three days but was done with the place after the 2nd day. I asked for a refund for the 3rd day since I felt the room and staff were unacceptable. When I checked out, the staff provided me a printout with the 3rd day not charged, however, my bank account was deducted for the full 3-day stay. ||||With everything happening with my fatherās health, this situation could not be addressed until after I was assured, he was stable. Today is November 11, 2023, and I have not heard from Agoda nor EZ 8 Motel Old Town for the refund of my 3rd night. This is the last thing you want on your mind when you have health concerns. I am a healthcare professional and a paralegal. I am a reasonable adult. I would have been satisfied to be placed in a different hotel, pay the difference, and call it square, but Agoda does not accommodate customers for unsatisfactory accommodations and enduring horrific...
