My favorite shop of its kind outside Mexico. In fact, this wonderful store sells housewares, art, books, jewelry and clothing from many countries but everything exudes a Mexican vibe. What makes the place really special is how beautifully all the items are curated. You'll find very high quality things and incredibly beautiful as well. The emphasis is on authenticity and craftsmanship. Nothing is dirt cheap but many things are very affordable. They also have sales, like Christmas ornaments right after the holidays.
I've always found the sales people to be super nice and helpful. The place is laid out like a mini-mall with separate "shops" specializing in different things. The largest shop is for housewares: linens, bedding, fabrics, ceramics, kitchenwares, etc. Free parking right outside is ample and you're right at Old Town so there's lots of nearby attractions and eateries. Really, Bazaar del Mundo is so lovely and colorful I get a lift just...
Read moreI spent Friday afternoon at your beautiful restaurant with my Mother. We had just spent a lovely afternoon at the Santa Fe artist show. We walked over to enjoy a drink on the patio. We followed directions and walked to the front door and hostess area. NO one was there. We waited and asked servers where the hostess was. After a five minute wait a young lady rounded the corner. She immediately talked to the people behind us. The couple graciously told her we were first. With a complete chip on her shoulder and no apologies she then led us to the patio no welcome nothing.! She led us to a table dumped the menus and left. We were shocked đł We later found out her absence at the front desk was due to a conference call with Diane Powers and staff. Diane we love your restaurants. However questioned why you would leave your welcome first impression completely left unattended and then also with someone so unhappy. Maybe a bad day for...
Read moreI went here before because I'm Guatemalan and I wanted to get something to compliment my gown for my college graduation ceremony. It's extremely overpriced, I've actually been to Guatemala and these things aren't even priced to also cover imports. I had gone with my sister that day and this white lady was at the front desk, already weird cause why can't you at least have a latina. Anyway, the lady kept looking at us like we might steal something, and then when we went up to pay, the woman just chatted with a (white) customer for like 10 minutes after the purchase was finalized. She was very friendly with this customer, and then when it was our turn, she completely changed her demeaner. All serious and almost annoyed looking....
