Recommendations: Try all the drinks! Bring a friend group of at least 5 people. Carpool or public transit if you can, parking is challenging/expensive at best. Despite the high ceilings and massive indoor space, the temperature control is excellent even in the winter. The space is very bright and wide open. Comfortable seating is available to all group sizes, style of board games, and at all inebriation levels. Wide variety of games available for all group sizes, interests and time commitments. Food is a little expensive, choose wisely and you’ll get ur moneys worth (the hot pockets are bomb!) Everyone on the staff are super intelligent, energetic, and considerate. There is also a gamer friendly section with rows of PCs. Console tournaments are also hosted on the regular for competitors to play and guests to watch.

I love how open and spacious Guildhouse is! I think it really helps with sounds maybe? Because even with music playing, there was good ambience noise wise while also being able to hear your own group clearly while playing games. It seems like it’s currently decorated with many sakura and Spring blossoms for the season which I adore. There’s plenty of seating options and a lot of room in general although I can see it getting a lot busier. There are also a couple of rooms of rooms to choose to play in, the variety is really great. Especially with the board games and most seem pretty well maintained! The cocktails were fun and I enjoyed them! It hard to choose from the menu. I also liked the snack options which makes for great bites especially after all the friendly competition.

<copied to Yelp> Guildhouse is incredible - the giant gourmet hot pockets from the kitchen are astoundingly good, wide beer selection, excellent equipment and a very nice interior design. Gaming might be a little pricey at $6 per hour for computer time but you get a free hour if you order any food/drink, so I think it’s a fair deal. Best LAN cafe I’ve ever been to and I can’t recommend it strongly enough, really glad downtown SJ has something like this. EDIT: forgot to mention, they had a bug in their system that prevented my friends and I from adding time to the computers for 15 minutes or so, and they gave us two free hours to compensate! Now that's some quality customer service.

I love gaming bars so when my friend told me about this place, I was stoked. The place is huge and has a good vibe and great lighting. Lots of places to sit but it gets pretty packed so might be difficult to grab a spot later in the night. It’s also pretty loud but I liked that I didn’t have to yell to talk to my friends. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end.

My friends and I ordered food and drinks. The drinks were pretty average price. $12 for well cocktails and I think a bit more for their signature. I was stoked to see soju cocktails. My friend got there earlier and ordered the green emerald cocktail. Absolutely awful and I love melon flavor. It was so sweet and somewhat thick because of the amount of syrup. I ordered the Luma Rosalina and my other friend ordered the phoenix rising. Both of them tasted like they were made with a plastic handle of vodka and fruit punch by some kid at a college house party.

There was no line at the food counter. I ordered a pretzel and the wait time was 45 minutes. Super long for a pretzel but whatever. My friend and boyfriend ordered an unheated turkey sandwich. I received my pretzel about 30 minutes later and it was huge but extremely hard and dry. My boyfriend received his sandwich about an hour later but had to ask the cashier about it and they had just forgotten to make it. My friend didn’t even get hers after over an hour. She waited until about an hour and 20 minutes to just ask for a refund since she ate the other half of my boyfriend’s while she was waiting. They told her that it was coming up next and asked if she still wanted it. She still said no and the refund process practically took as long as it did to get my pretzel.

Anyway, it’s still a cool bar if you want to play games and hang out with friends. Just don’t expect to have good food and drinks. Luckily, you can bring in outside of food so you can actually have something quick and tasty. If they could work on better drinks and food, along with quicker food service, this would definitely be a top favorite for my...

Guildhouse is many things. A bar, an eatery, an Internet cafe, gaming lounge, event space.

But in many ways it’s actually none of those things. In my experiences spending an evening at Guildhouse what it struck me most clearly as being was a space for communities to come together.

At any moment on a Saturday night you can look around and see smashers making their way through a competitive bracket hosted in the venue, Valorant players joining together to watch Cloud9 face off against 100Thieves, board game players having a drink as they play, or even a fresh-faced couple on a first date. The vibrancy I felt in this space is like nowhere else you can find in Northern California. It is truly unique.

The owners at Guildhouse have truly struck the perfect balance of creating a place where you just WANT to be, without feeling like you’re being asked to spend money just to exist there. Of course, you should patronize their business, try one of the creative cocktails or wonderful selection of craft beers. But no one is pressuring you to, you just end up doing it because you’re having so much fun.

I can’t recommend Guildhouse enough. Spaces like this are disappearing all across cities in this country and we desperately need to support new ones that spring up.

Go to Guildhouse, support this community building space. I guarantee you...

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Guildhouse and it was one of the best decisions we could've made for our wedding. Monique is an absolute gem of a venue coordinator and we are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her. Prior to the wedding, Monique sat down with us to ensure all questions were answered and she took very careful notes of our vision. On the day of, she and her team helped set up the venue and when my husband and I walked in for the first time, we couldn't believe our eyes! It looked like an absolute dream; it was everything we wanted and more. Throughout the night, Monique and her team ensured everything was done seamlessly from working with our other vendors present (caterer, DJ, photobooth attendant, photographer etc.) to periodically checking in with us to make sure we were doing okay. Thank you to Monique and her team!

Guildhouse was the perfect venue with its open concept and large dance floor and very centralized bar. Many guests asked us about the venue throughout the night and wondered how we managed to find such a beautiful venue!

If you're looking for a wedding or event venue in the SJ area, look no further! Guildhouse will be perfect...
