This experience was truly disappointing . Communication is horrible . They try and get you with a giftcard if you listen to them try and sell you a timeshare which is totally fine but they made many false promises to the point that when I showed up for my presentation they told me the first guy shouldn’t have signed me up and once other people started getting involved the manager made me go next door away from people to settle it. Clearly he didnt want others seeing how horrible I was being treated. He told me that he would give me a 2 night stay for free but i had told him that the other employee already promised me that for the OTHER mistakes they kept making. I was told i would get a phone call later in the day ( I never received any phone calls)it wasnt until check out that I was told noone could help me and hilton kept saying they weren’t involved even though this all happened in the hilton front desk. i gave my info and was told id fet everything I was promised and a phone call after the holiday. Its been over a week and I’ve received no response . The amount of time we wasted dealing with the employees is not worth ever coming back . We had a broken light outside so at night we couldnt even see going into our room. No blankets or sheets or even pillows for the pull out bed. Coffee machine broken . They close the pool so often and the traffic is horrible. They give you a card for discounts at hotels in the area. The guy we had gave us a not up to date list so we paid full price when we would have gone somewhere that took the discount. Its sad that this wasnt even half of the problems we had but I dont have all day to write just tryinf to save anyone from having a horrible experience. The amount of moneyand time that was wasted because of lack of communication and lack of people skills. The manager was the worst one so that tells me so much. The only thing good i can say is the gym is ok ( i wouldnt have been at the gym tho if I wasnt waiting on communication all day) so not only was I given false promises for free rooms and told id receive the 175 because my time was wasted and it wasnt my fault kevin didnt ask the correct questions. You never let a customer get screwed because of an employee mistake…. Thats when your supposed to make up for it but this place truly doesnt care about anything unless you qualify for a timeshare of course … ( im disabled and rhe person who supports me and who I live with wasnt with me ) im not sure if its because im disabled or if its because he wasnt physically there they wouldnt even tell me because others were getting involved. The best part was i never even wanted to do any of this but kevin kept pushing it so i gave my security deposit and made the appointment after him trying for a good 5 minutes. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more for a hotel that can actually treat people like human beings because as a former flight attendant who LIVED out of hotels ive NEVER been treated so horribly . Ps still waiting on that...
Read moreI hesitate to rate the resort as poor, but I don’t want to give it 3 stars either. We were informed of the hotel’s charge for amenities, which would be due upon arrival. That was fine. But they also needed to put a $200 hold on our card. Not the end of the world, but also not hard to inform us of beforehand as we specifically asked. Seems kind of sketchy when we find out on arrival. And yes, I know we get it back, but having my card on file should be enough. Just my opinion. We also booked well ahead of time as we saw that they had 2 different pools. Once we got here, we were informed that one was closed for yearly maintenance. Again, not the end of the world but frustrating. We have 3 kids and that matters. Simply send an email about it so we can makes changes if needed. It was maintenance that was clearly planned ahead of time. The pool that was open was closed about once a day due to lightning. Not the hotels fault, but it had to be 20 miles out to open back up, and it seemed to be inconsistently enforced. It barely stormed while we were here for 9 nights. We then came home one evening to a literal hole in our wall in the living room that essentially had a colony of ants coming out of it. Ants aren’t a huge concern, but it’s still kind of odd, and not something I’d expect from a resort. You also don’t get a parking spot assigned to you, so you could end up parking farther than you’d like from your room, which can be frustrating when packing/unpacking. The room also had outlets that didn’t work and one that didn’t have a cover on it which was a safety concern. On a good note, the front desk was pretty quick to respond when supplies were needed and when we told them about the ants. I just expect more from a resort like this, but we didn’t hate our stay, which is why I hesitate to rate it 2 stars. I just wouldn’t call it average either. Nothing alone was a deal breaker (though the outlets a concern with kids), but everything together was just disappointing. It was a beautiful place with...
Read moreMy sister and I went on vacation in September. We paid a little over $200 a night each for separate rooms. We booked this based on other people's reviews giving it excellent reviews however we found it to be very disappointing. The views were beautiful and the pool and hot tub were lovely. The location was good. The parking was crowded at times. The rooms were outdated and run down and they had to switch our rooms several times because the rooms were stained and odorous and had other issues. We heard many other complaints from other travelers as well about their room conditions, anywhere from odors and stains to moldy air conditioners and other problems. The staff were very patient and tried their best to accommodate, however there was only so much they could do. There were coyotes every night howling right behind our rooms, you had to hike up two flights of cement stairs to get to your room, your door is right to the outdoors where it felt likr scorpions and snakes can easily get in. Fortunately we did not experienced any! The screens on the windows and sliding glass doors were broken and there were holes in the cement on our patios. There were bats flying around. They didn't clean our room throughout the week, only after we checked out. If you wanted towels or toilet paper Etc replenished you had to request it. I did like that they had a little kitchen at and it was stocked with utensils etc. The location was good, about 10 minutes from local grocery store, Restaurants and some great mountains and trails. It was about 30 minutes from uptown Sedona. It was also located right next to a golf course that had a great restaurant that we ate lunch at every day. It wasn't the worst place we ever stayed however it certainly wasn't what we were was expecting. Sedona has limited options of where to stay especially if you can't afford to spend a fortune. We made the best of it and in the future if I return to Sedona I will stay at another hotel or resort...
