ROCKY RD Ice Cream Co — Restaurant in Arizona

A very poor experience. Walked in to both young employees sitting in chairs on their cell phones. They got up off their chairs and did not utter one word to us. After a bit of an awkward silence I went ahead and asked for what I wanted. A single scoop of ice cream. My husband ordered two scoops of ice cream. My single scoop was very large, and turned out to be more ice cream than his two scoops. I kindly asked why a single scoop is bigger than two individual scoops, and why we should pay double for the exact same amount of ice cream? One of the young people said, “yah, it’s weird”. And that was that. We were not greeted, not asked what we’d like to order, and they were back on their chairs and scrolling before we even exited the building. As hard working locals in the area, we can choose the grocery store or the local mom and pop ice cream shop. Given the cost, and horrible customer service we won’t be back. Small business owners should put in time and effort to ensure young people understand the value of customer service in a face...

I went there one night as a worker was walking through the door. I was right behind him and he shut the door on my face, locked it and mouthed "bye" as he waved at me. Well I walked back to my car and looked up the hours on Google it was nearly 9 and they close at 9.

Now I feel it would have been more polite to turn towards me and say, "we're closing now, we open back up tomorrow at (insert time), if you'd like to come back then. We'll be glad to help you."

All I wanted to know was if they served no sugar added.

So a couple of days later I walked around the store next door and purchased a couple of items, had a lovely chat with the young male and decided to stop back in at this ice cream store. I asked if they had no sugar added. The male informed me they have low sugar but didn't have the information how much sugar they called "low sugar."

I brought up my experience the couple of days prior and the male just smiled, as if he did good...

OMG!!! If you are ever in Sedona/ Villages of Oak Creek this is a must. Our family stopped in for ice cream after dinner and I have to say this is by far the best ice cream I have ever had. I know it sounds a bit much after all its just ice cream but NO! The hand made ice cream has the most wonderful flavor and is so creamy. We had the mint and chip and rocky road and the flavors of both were just amazing. The young gals working that night were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our treat sitting out front in the chairs and enjoying the night. The will absolutely be a must every time...
