We were not happy with our lunch. We were at this grill about a year and a half ago and was so impressed with the quality of food that we decided to pop in again after our day trip to Sedona. Prices are not bad but based on our two selections, the quality has gone downhill or it's a new chef. The french fries were barely french fries as they were extremely skimpy, barely any potato inside, super thin. We felt like we were eating all coating. Fish and chips used to be made with a light delicious tempura coating which now is a typical coating you can find anywhere, they were over cooked and sat in the basket of oil for some time because I needed to request paper napkins in order to absorb the excessive oil. No draining time at all. My husband's smashburger was overcooked and beef patty was subpar. Also, we arrived at 10:50 for 11 am lunch start. The waitress swapped out our breakfast for lunch menus and said she'd be back to get our order which did not occur until 11:15 am. We felt 25 mins was excessive and unnecessary due to our arrival time and the restaurant not very busy. The views are gorgeous, but we'd only go back for that and a drink if in the...
Read moreStopped for breakfast on the patio on a beautiful, sunny, seventy degree morning. Sat down, ordered some drinks, and perused the menu. When we sat down there was no music playing on the patio which was great because the quiet went along perfectly with the great views. Then some music was turned on. It was low at first and then turned up louder. It was wrecking the ambience for sure so we asked to have it turned down. Incredibly it was then cranked up even louder to blast level! Went inside to complain and they said they didn't know how to work the volume button. I thought they had to be joking. Snide manager invited me to come and look at the volume button to see if I could figure out how to work it. I declined and asked her how hard could it be to turn down the music? I also asked her why have any music outside at all on such a beautiful, peaceful morning? She just gave me a dumb look so we left without eating. Just don't understand the managers attitude and why it was necessary to wreck such a beautiful setting with loud,...
Read moreWe met some friends for lunch on Sunday at this restaurant in the clubhouse of the golf course. Parking was easy since it wasn't very busy, and we we lucky enough to snag a table outside - if it's an option, take it because the view is absolutely stunning.
The food was good and reasonably priced, but the views are reason alone to eat there. Among us we had sandwiches and salads, and were all quite satisfied when we were done. The service was also good, so overall it was a good dining experience. But those views will definitely have me going back there in the future.
I'd give the place five stars on the views of the red rocks alone, but to be fair I gave it four for the food and service, since that is the real reason you go to...
