Sister Bay Inn — Hotel in Sister Bay

A wonderful gem! The knowledgeable and friendly family that runs this motel has done a great job updating both inside and out. The pool, hot tub, fire pit and green space behind the motel are beautifully maintained and quiet as they are away from the road. I was traveling with my college-age daughter, but want to note that was a lot of space for kids to play safely, which I think is fantastic for families! There are lots of outdoor seating spaces and the hot tub is located away from the pool, which is nice for adults too. The outdoor furniture all seems to be very new, and the flowers and gardens on the entire property are beautiful! We were In one of the “renovated” rooms, and it was updated and spacious with a microwave, fridge and a lot of new cabinets, vanity, drawers, which is nice when you want to unpack and not have stuff everywhere. Cleanliness is beyond 5 stars! Two additional things worth mentioning, the great HOT water pressure in the shower and the very comfortable beds! Our room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Owners were hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was what we expected being that it was “continental” so did not have the typical eggs, sausages and waffle or pancake machines. We had a second floor balcony and liked that. We overlooked the back pool, fire pit and area with tables and umbrellas. Fire pit was on in the evening. The property was beautiful with a lot of flowers. There was also a hot tub which we did not use.|The only somewhat negatives were a very loud fan in bathroom. We used our own night light by sink so we did not have to turn on the light/fan during the night. Sliding patio door screen could maybe use new screening.|Breakfast area was always clean and had a modern feel with an aquarium. For us, we were gone during the day and were not in our room until evening. Property was very quiet and off the main road. Loved it here! We were falling behind schedule with traveling so I had called to let them know we weren’t going to get to the hotel til very late, and they accommodated for us to be able to check in and find our room easily while no staff was there. Complimentary breakfast was very good, had a nice variety. All around very clean, kept up with, and simple but beautifully decorated! Staff was also very wonderful. We were basically winging this trip and had no clue where to go, lady who checked us in gave us a bunch of info on all the must sees/to do in and near sister bay and 2nd day there we got home around 8:30pm wanted to dip in the hot tub before it closed at 9, the guy came down when it was time to close it up but said looked like we were enjoying ourselves and said we could stay til 10 if we’d like, which we did.
