Goose & Twigs — Hotel in Sister Bay

I've walked by this place since I temporarily moved to Sister Bay at the beginning of June (it's currently end of August) and have been meaning to make a stop. Not coming in sooner is my only regret of my time here! I didn't know what to expect when I walked it but the place is out of this world amazing! While looking at the menu I was greeted by this woman, who I later learned is one of the owners. We joked around about some coffee and without me asking she offered to make one of my favorite drinks (cold brew coffee with some coconut foam). It's pretty simple but the excitement she showed in making me happy was a great start to my day! My fiancé, who, and I quote "doesn't even drink coffee" ordered a cappuccino (I know he's strange) but he loved it too! So after ordering she told us to take a seat and she'll come find us. We took a seat outside in their comfortable lounge chairs and when she found us I had read a few reviews by then and asked her about some of it. They are going for a LED certification (energy sustainability) by only using electricity and by installing solar panels on their second building of the hotel, which is currently under construction. The best part of this all is when Renata told us about how they came up with the name, Goose & Twigs. Goose (also her husband's name) & Twigs (their two children). They are originally from Mexico, moved to Orange County, then Illinois, and finally found their home here in Sister Bay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️++ Goose & Twigs – A True Gem in Door County!

My roots in Door County are 6th generation deep, so I love seeing local businesses thrive! My family and I had an unforgettable stay at Goose & Twigs in Sister Bay, Wisconsin, and I can confidently say it’s the ONLY place I recommend north of my hometown Sturgeon Bay. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness and care. Our car had broken down in town, and the owner went out of his way to pick us up—something you just don’t find everywhere. Their customer service went far above and beyond anything we expected. The owner Goose and his twins (Twigs) are delightful and truly felt like family.

The room itself was cozy and beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout. The mattress was absolutely fabulous—soft and cloud-like, offering the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time. The towel selection was impressive too, including a designated makeup towel and darker towels, which I really appreciated. The landscaping outside is simply stunning and added such peace and charm to the whole experience. The on-site coffee house was the cherry on top, serving scrumptious coffees and fresh bakery treats in the morning. If you’re headed anywhere in Door County, do yourself a favor and grab a treat here, but even better yet… stay here. Goose & Twigs is a true treasure! Location : A- Literally across the street from the main areas of Sister Bay. Just a few doors far enough from hearing the car noise. Lots of shops and restaurants within two block radius. Could have been better if on the water but do you really want to spend $400+/night?

Staff/service : A++ This is where Gustavo (manager) and Faith (restaurant) really make this place special- very accommodating and super helpful. They even found my daughter's jacket laying on the ground, washed it then returned it to us! (Best service we've had for quite some time --Can't ask for anything more)

Room: A+ spacious enough for a family of 4 , very clean and updated decor, beds are newer and comfortable, shower is great, AC was nice, curtains allowed to get the room super dark for our baby to keep sleeping, fridge and microwave a bonus!

Restaurant : A. Food was excellent. Recommend Lox bagel sandwich, eggs, and coffee. Door County Creamery across the street has great gelato.

This place is without a doubt the best value hotel we've ever stayed and we vacation around the world 2-3x/yr. Four what you pay its worth every penny. In fact we've already decided to come back...
