@@@September 2018 and July 2019.... A wonderful time was spent here as part of a mini vacation. This place was clean-spotless, new rugs, new bathroom, great refrigerator and microwave, dark curtains and comfortable beds. I advise you to bring your own pillow as you may miss yours. The swimming pool was cute and cleaned daily. There’s no high end breakfast but they do have great coffee, juice, milk, cereal and packaged danish. If you prefer there is a Diner right next door. There are a few restaurants in area and a WaWa. The place is situated a hop skip and a jump from Ocean City Bridge which is full with exciting things to do : beach, broad walk , shops, restaurants and amusement park. If you want to gamble and dine out you are also close by about 10 miles from Inn to Atlantic City. The prices are great! But for a 2 star place it really deserves a 4. I was in room 103 and it was perfect. Free parking and WiFi. All cable channels and phone in room. The only negative is that towels are too small and thin and not Downey soft. I brought my own towels. Very quiet place to unwind, run away to, soak up sun, peaceful atmosphere. I paid for 4 days and that’s what I paid when i got there. No hidden charges or property fee etc. You pay for room rate and taxes. We spent from Friday to Monday and on Sunday we paid for an extra day that’s how much we liked it.
@@@July 13, 2019 to July 25th 2019@@@ We arrived at Passport Inn for 6 days of rest and relaxation. On July 18th we added 2 more days then again July 20th. We plan to go back to NY on 7/22/2019. Unfortunately on 7/21 we had an car accident on a country day trip. Ending up in hospital and getting car towed. We felt so lost being away from home. After 9 hrs in Trauma Unit we headed to Philadelphia for a rented car, driving that back to Passport Inn where the owners waited for us and gave us extra days in the same room, their concern and support. His maid came in and did all she can do to make our stay comfortable because my Godmother fractured 3 ribs. Just to say thank you to everyone who stopped to help us on the accident site to EMTs to Nurses and Doctors ... everyone was amazing and helpful. So to all the people in Hammonton NJ ... thank you. To the Uber guy .. Richard who took us to Enterprise at Philadelphia airport in the middle of the night....thank you. A special thank you to Passport Inn... you are amazing. They were there for us. A great place to stay where you don’t feel alone in a situation like this. I called while in hospital needing an extension and was told not to worry about anything that we had the extension and room would continue to be ours. We are in our room, my Godmama healing and I trying to get my car to NY after an adjuster evaluated it. Definitely will be back next year or maybe in...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel last week (early April 2013). The room was functional, very clean, and attractively arranged. This is a cute little motel, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Everything was newly remodeled. That vanity area is spacious. I found the bed and desk chair quite comfortable (I always bring my own pillows, so I can comment on the comfort of the pillows :)). There were also table and chairs, along with the desk near the TV to plug in a lap top. The High Speed Internet worked incredibly well, without even a glitch during my two day stay. The greatest restaurant is located right across the street. The have amazing salads (my fave) for cheap. I had two huge salads for dinner, and that was 15 bucks with tip. It is an amazing seafood restaurant, so the food is fabulous and more pricey if you go that route. The circle is a hop, skip, and a jump away, so I traveled back and forth to ocean city quickly and with ease. A fabulous place to be near the ocean without the cost of being near the ocean. An amazing room at an amazing price. I am going again next month for sure, before the after Memorial Day rush. The parking if free in Ocean City until Memorial day which is a plus and if it is a half way decent day, many of the shops are open. There is also a 24 hour diner at a stones throw, which i have yet to check out. I love the Crab Trap so much, I keep going there for my meals. Again, the salads are huge and out of this world, fresh with amazing dressings and cheeses for just 6 bucks. I so enjoyed my walks on the Ocean City beach. There are still some sand piles to be spread, though there was plenty of beach to enjoy, and I found the most beautiful shells, whole conch and snail shells. Piles of beautiful shells. I have raved enough. The hotel is near the circle so there is some traffic noise, and that did not bother me. Some noise from the next room earlier in the day, not annoying noise by any means, just normal, the walls are not made of thick concrete, though there was no noise that I heard after about 9 pm. Respectful, quiet, calm atmosphere. Small, cozy, and homey. I had stayed in another, little less expensive place, though it had a funny smell, and was not even a fraction as clean, and they didn't give a blanket, only the spread and a sheet. This time I came prepared with my own blanket, which is always good to have extra anyway, though the Passport in had a nice soft blanket on the bed. Plenty of light, clean fridge and microwave, huge TV that I didn't even watch. Fabulous. Okay, my very positive review is at it's end. Have the...
Read moreI am not the person to write google reviews but i feel that this is important to convey to potential guests. I recently stayed at the Passport Inn with my family which includes our 8 month old son. The website said it is a no smoking property but when we got to our room it smelled like cigarettes and there was a cigarette disposal right outside of our room which was seeping into our room and caused the smell. A minor annoyance but with an 8 month old it was a big deal to us. We went about our day and when we returned at night and got settled in the parking lot was stormed with police cars. The officer informed us that two doors down (107 i believe) a woman was found dead. The lot was blocked and full of police cars and other response vehicles for most of the night which made sleeping impossible. The woman in the rom next to us told us that "swat team was here on Thursday" and after this now happening we felt unsafe but there was nowhere else to stay in the area. The next morning we wake up to ants in our beds and all over the nightstand. I spoke to the man in the office about it and he said it was because we had "candy in the room". We had one airtight package of fudge that was untouched so that was not the issue. The front desk dismissed our concerns and i am currently in contact with the management company trying to get a refund. They are independently owned so getting in touch with anyone is proving to be difficult. The only reason i am giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the beds were comfortable and...
