The Staff was friendly, welcoming and shared a wealth of useful information. The rooms are seriously overpriced. The proximity to Sonoma Plaza is ideal.||Upon our arrival we met plentiful surface and underground parking which was welcome in the heat of July. We were warmly greeted upon entering the lobby, we reserved a King plus patio. The room was tastefully decorated, yet quite tight. Seating consisted of 2 chairs and no table. The small refrigerator was a nice addition. ||The bathroom was well below expectations for accommodations at that price point. The standard residential tub/shower combination felt motel like. The toilet was problematically low, if you are taller than 5”10 you may bang your knees on the adjacent free standing shelf. Bath amenities were limited to standard facial tissue and dispensers of conditioner, shampoo, and body wash. The waffle robes were stiff, and there are no slippers.||Our east facing balcony was small and overlook the roof of a school and a lot. The paint on the patio set was worn and the plant scape was dried and brown. Some wood appeared to have dry rotted away. The large west facing balconies over look the parking lot. The inviting rooftop spa must be perfect in cooler weather.||Breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious…a must. The small breakfast room was tight. It was an absolute disaster they chose to prop open the kitchen door. The metal clanging sounds of the staff busily creating and cleaning the delicious breakfast polluted the small breakfast area forcing us to eat outside.||The property is a short walk to the Plaza. Bedding was exceptionally comfortable and our...
Read moreThis was my first time staying at The Inn and it will not be my last! I had stayed at The Lodge on a prior trip and there is no comparison when it comes to the personal touch and attention to detail at The Inn. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make me feel at home and each time I went by the front desk, either to take part in the afternoon wine or refill my water bottle, they asked how my day was and if there was anything I needed. |The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and had different options each morning. I do think that a sign on the buffet letting you know about allergens would be helpful as I had to interrupt the chef to ask what I could have that was gluten free. |The afternoon wine and cheese are a wonderful touch! I so appreciated this on the first day as I arrived at 4:30 after a 6 hour flight and was able to take this right up to my room!|The room was beautiful with a king-sized bed with the most amazing fluffy pillows and comforter. A perfect respite after a long day of touring wineries! The bathroom, although a bit dated, was immaculate. I appreciated the housekeeping staff cleaning the room promptly each day. |There is a mini fridge in the room and although small, it was large enough to hold a few drinks along with the refillable water bottles that are provided.|The Inn is only a 5 minute walk to downtown Sonoma so no need to wait for an Uber or hotel shuttle. Everything is within walking distance but far enough from the square so that you can't hear the activities going on. |Sonoma is so special and completely has my heart....and now I have found the perfect place to stay...
Read moreThe hotel is nice. Offers a wine happy hour and good breakfast for guests. The rooms are well kept. The location is convenient to downtown Sonoma. The housekeeping and customer service is a weak point. I submitted my specific complaint about the housekeeping lapse to staff on site and after the stay. Unfortunately the post stay follow up never occurred. At one point we saw a partial refund appear to our credit card but it was withdrawn . Housekeeping did not clean the room during our stay as indicated by their services until we asked and excuses were made at 2 pm they do check outs first. The housekeepers left dirty glasses and empty wine bottles on the credenza outside the rooms by the stair landing. On other days the staff used this as a work area to fold towels. It takes away from the ambience and relaxation we anticipated. We were offered a 10 year old bottle of wine that was unfortunately undrinkable as we had to leave our room when housekeeping showed up around 3 . These types of gaps in service are not earth shattering but the response was just disappointing considering the hotel class and cost. They sent a survey, I provided the details, requested a response and got nothing. I don’t recommend them for that reason as it shows...
