A Beautiful & Cute Bistro showcasing mesmerizing flavors from Nepal & India. The decor is very artfully done with restraint and the lighting is a nice welcome from the Sonoma Sun especially in summer. The staff is very friendly and they accommodated our request to squeeze our party into the corner window table which made our lunch quite memorable as it was like a nice Parisian Bistro with full window views of downtown Sonoma but with comfortable AirConditioning as it was 90 degrees outside. Many Thanks to Jay who gave our party complimentary to go cups of Masala Chai in stylish containers. The Bistro also has seating in the back which opens up to the Stylish Sonoma Plaza. We started off with delightful Shrimp Peri Peri and the Tandoori Chicken took my senses straight back to New Delhi. Nice. The Kashmiri Lamb Curry was my favorite and friends liked the Chicken Korma. Their wine list was also quite impressive. After a Saturday full of Wine Tasting and Charcuterie, this lunch was a great experience to start off Sunday on another round of Exquisite Sonoma Wine Tasting Adventure. A Superlative Unhurried Experience especially as we had each dish as a separate course one by one to be shared amongst us friends while having shots of cool Mango...

My go-tos of bhaigan bharta and chicken tika marsala were delicious, my husband inhaled my leftovers when I got home. Mango lassi was a mango lassi, hard to get it wrong-- yum.
Four stars because our entrees came out thirty minutes after the soup and salad ordered by those in our party who wanted lighter fare. They were likely bringing out the appetizer-type orders first, common enough mistake, but we'd made it clear we weren't really sharing. They also forgot a member of our party's coffee, and she thought it tasted/smelled horrible when it came; the water in our glasses was the same and it tasted fine... and I'm picky as hell about that. They did give us separate checks, though this probably added to the confusion, but still-- it shouldn't be too hard to handle a four-top at noon with the restaurant at only half-capacity.
The waiters and bussers were hotttt. cough
I'll up it to five if the service is...
Read moreWe went to eat here last night and was very pleased. We ordered Samosa's which is a crispy pastry filled with spices, potato, and green peas. Served with three different dipping sauces. One was a spicy chili kind of sauce, another was a cilantro based, and I'm not even sure how to described the third one, but they were all very good!! Then we ordered chicken marsala, and lamb korma. The chicken tikka masala was very good. Had chicken with a special blend of spices and tomato sauce with a medium kick of heat. The lamb korma was cooked in a mild cream sauce, with cashew nut, saffron and special spices with a medium kick of heat to it also. You can get them all either mild, medium or hot. We also ordered plain naan, and the garlic naan. If you like garlic, definitely get that naan bread! The server was very good also, he was helpful with options of what to eat. We ended up not being able to finish all of our food, so we will end up having a whole other meal tonight!! I will for sure be back to try...
