My wife and I love making the occasional visit to Red Lobster to enjoy your meals. We decided that we would try the order and delivery option from your website. I continued to sign up for rewards because I figured we would very likely have Red Lobster delivered again since the restaurant is not open. Ordered our food at 6:54 pm and received an email confirming 7:43 pm delivery thru Door Dash. At 7:55 pm, I thought the driver could not find our apartment so I called. She informed me that she was still at the restaurant waiting for the food. I called the Red Lobster location in South Plainfield to find out what is occurring. I was on hold for five mins no one picked up. I called again and stayed on hold for 15 mins and it went to a voicemail, left a message of disappointment (P.S. never got a call back). Called the driver again and she informed me at 8:20 she was still waiting. I asked her to go the person at the counter and find out what is going on. I did not hear from her. Called driver again at 8:28 pm, she still could not find the counter person because they were in the kitchen. I informed her that when the person comes to the counter, if my food is not ready cancel it because my pregnant wife and I lost patience 30 mins prior and I was on my way out the door to pick something up locally so we could eat. The driver called me back at 8:33 pm and told me she has the food and can be to me in 15 mins. I said okay. Food arrived at 8:50 pm. Lets start with the obvious problem, 2 hours to get dinner and feed my pregnant wife. What a horrible feeling I had because I felt it was my fault. Next problem, NO communication. I received an email that told me when to expect food. If that was not capable of being executed, why is it that no one emailed or called me to update me on the realistic time frame. I could have taken my $57.46 and fed my wife much earlier. Next problem, I ordered half dozen biscuits and received two. Next problem, I could have cooked the food better than how it came out. I have been to the restaurant multiple times and can honestly say it horribly disappointing. My check # on the receipt is 504676, order #585523799, store #0379. I would like every penny of this charge to be refunded. I have screenshots and photos if you need. All photos will show phone calls made and received, my receipt, and the map of Door Dash driver throughout this ordeal. By far the worst experience of my life. I work in a service department at a car dealership, we order food daily and sometimes more than once per day. I have been in this field for 20 years. I have never had a worse experience ordering food during work hours or outside of work hours. Who ever was managing that night should be ashamed. All I needed was a simple call that explained they can not promise the delivery time on my email. I would have asked for my money back and got food some place else. The driver would not have lost over an hour of her time to make money on deliveries, my pregnant wife would not have starved for a long period of time, and I would have just ordered Red Lobster another day. Unlike the voicemail I left that night, I hope someone will actually respond to this message, ASAP. Thank you for your time in reading this, I hope to hear from someone soon.

Read moreI have been there the past 2 fridays in a row. First with my son last Friday and than this Friday we wanted to take my parents so we came back again. We had 2 completely different experiences! Last week went great! Service was amazing! The gentleman server was awsome and I'm sad I forgot his name but everything was great. This week when we came back was probably the worst dining experience I have ever had in my entire life. Right off the bat we knew it was going to go south! The girls name was manhoor I believe, and she had the worst attitude right away when we ordered our drinks like they were to hard for her to make ( they were 2 Shirley temples, a coke and iced tea). Drinks were wrong and forgotten iced tea and gave a diet coke. And than when brought up she got mad that we said something about it and the Shirley temples were wrong but we didn't even bring that up...didn't get the correct drink for another 15 min and still was missing one. Took almost 40 min just to get biscuits because she claimed they were in the oven meanwhile other servers where bringing them out to their tables. Waited forever for the food than she came out and said there was no sauce for the coconut shrimp that they had run out completely..so we asked if we can than change the shrimp we got to a different shrimp because we only like the coconut shrimp with the sauce. She got a even bigger attitude and left for a while and came back and said all of the sudden they had sauce. It was as if she just didn't want to re fill it when they ran out so she wanted us to get like cocktail or tarter sauce and that just doesn't go well with that shrimp. So than the sauce magically appeared when she would have had to do more work to change our order. We were there for 2 hours and it took us 10 minutes to eat lol..I ordered the chocolate wave cake to go which i always do and this time she gave me melted ice cream and instead of chocolate sauce gave me a red one and a caramel lol.. the table behind us was also having a horrible night with her and told her they were about to walk out. We chatted with them for a few and they had tons of complaints as well so it validated us that we weren't crazy. If you even go there and get manhoor as a server just ask for someone else to save your night...
Read moreI had the most disappointing dining experience at the South Plainfield Red Lobster last night, and I feel it’s important to share this so others know what they might be walking into. From the moment we sat down, the service was off. We had to ask for napkins and utensils, but this was a small sign of things to come, and unfortunately, it only got worse. Our server, Alisha J., was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Instead of fixing the small issue (which was clearly made by her and we didn't make a big deal about it), Alisha prioritized arguing about why the order was incorrect. We didn't care about who was right or wrong. We just wanted the right meal. Her attitude was awful. She stomped off and started speaking aggressively about our table to her coworkers, right in front of us as we ate, which completely ruined the experience. Feeling uncomfortable with her behavior, we decided to cancel the meal she had messed up. This, of course, made her more visibly upset. We were never offered refills or dessert, and a different server brought us the check without asking if we needed anything else. The manager did come over after we canceled the meal, but he seemed uninterested in addressing the situation. He kept asking if we were sure we didn’t want something else, which felt dismissive and not at all apologetic. After that, we never saw him again. In the end, this was a complete disaster. The issues weren’t just about the food, it was the attitude and lack of professionalism from Alisha, and the manager's lack of involvement. This location needs a serious overhaul in both service and customer care.
