I trird this place for the first time 2 months ago and I loved it and I kept going back and picking up multiple orders even sharing it with family.
I'm a new grandmother to a 2-week-old infant and I'm babysitting my granddaughter today to give my daughter rest.
It's 1:45 in the afternoon and I haven't eaten at all today. So I doordash chicken teriyaki. I receive it & there's no teriyaki sauce on my food at all. I called to alert a supervisor of this & they didn't seem to care. So it seems that you only get your food made properly when you are in the restaurant. When you doordash food they do whatever because they don't care because it's already left them and they don't have to face you.
This is extremely disappointing and I'm so upset. I won't go back again. They just lost what was a loyal customer. And I'm going to make sure that I tell everyone who has an ear not to even go here. Especially after the way the supervisor just talked to me like it was okay that I'm paying for this meal and it's not what I asked for.
It completely defeats the purpose to give me this! So I had fried rice and sauteed meat and vegetables with no flavor because they did not put my teriyaki sauce over the top of the food like they have done every other time that I've gone inside. The teriyaki sauce is the flavor!
So if you decide to eat here make sure you go inside because if you doordash it you're not going to get what you asked for and they don't seem to care!
The supervisor even tried to tell me maybe my sauce dried up. No it didn't because it wasn't added. You can look at the photos of my food and you do not see teriyaki sauce on it at all. Teriyaki sauce is brown and visible. They literally pour it on the top and you can't miss it. It doesn't dry up. It was never put on my food. Just scroll down and take a look at all the other photos of customers showing their chicken teriyaki! You can see the sauce on their food and look at mine. The difference is apparent because I was never given my teriyaki sauce which is all the...
Read moreFor the price, flavor, and texture, Teriyaki One is worth the five stars I'm giving it now. The employees are friendly and voice clear questions & answers to both customers and employees alike. I had 2 special rolls - the "green dragon" and the "angry dragon." Those two rolls were surprisingly enough to fill me up. My boyfriend ordered a "salmon bento" and the cashier put in sushi rice instead of white rice as a nice bonus, after mentioning that he (my boyfriend) liked sushi rice.
Some advice: Update the menu both in-store and online as they aren't accurate. For example, the spicy mayo on top of the "angry dragon" was not listed, and I would've asked that it be made without any spicy mayo had I known. Second, although the presentation of the wasabi cushioned between the roll and the ginger is indeed aesthetic, it can be annoying to get the wasabi off the roll (for people who don't prefer western wasabi).
Notes to the customers: It's not a pricier place, so you won't get much eel in the "green dragon," but it still has a nice crunch and eel sauce flavor. I wouldn't recommend visiting for the ambience - it is loud with the sound of prepping, cooking, and ordering. The interior has the bare minimum - tables, chairs, garbage cans, condiments, etc. Meanwhile, everything else is naked. However, this place is understandably new - so I would suggest you stay...
Read moreTeriyaki One continues to disappoint with their repeated oversight in fulfilling my order correctly this is the 4th time this happened. Despite paying a hefty $20 for their chicken and shrimp teriyaki, I was left disheartened when I discovered that the dish was missing the vegetables, yet again.
It's worth noting that despite the missing vegetables, the chicken and shrimp teriyaki itself was undeniably delicious. The flavors were on point. However, the absence of the vegetables detracted from the overall experience.
Paying such a premium price for a meal should come with reasonable expectations, including a complete and balanced dish. Unfortunately, Teriyaki One failed to deliver on this front, leaving me disappointed despite the enjoyable flavors.
I sincerely hope that Teriyaki One addresses this recurring issue promptly. While their teriyaki dish is tasty, the lack of attention to detail and failure to include the essential components dampens the overall dining experience.
For those considering dining at Teriyaki One, be aware that you may not receive the full value for your money. There are other options available that offer a more consistent and satisfying experience, both in terms of taste and...
