I ordered the Combination and it arrived hot and earlier than the estimated time of arrival. I placed my order online which had me a bit nervous, but everything went great. The delivery guy was super friendly and clean and I wish I would have caught his name. When ordering online you can opt for a delivery tip before hand... I was a bit nervous about this as well, but afterwards I wish I would have given more! The delivery guy found the apartment I was visiting (which is very difficult to find) without a call. The pizza weighed a ton and was worth every penny. First time in recent memory when I couldn't eat a 16" pizza by myself. Haha. Seriously. I was visiting SLC and am super glad I checked out The Pie! I am going to keep them in mind for some of the frozen pizza options (can be shipped anywhere in the U.S.). This would be an excellent gift for someone who loves pizza. The specialty varieties are unique and well thought out and I really wish I would have tried one. I wanted to play it safe the first time. Based on this first experience, I wouldn't hesitate to order one of their specialty pies. I'm sure it would be incredible. One tiny complaint... I wasn't a huge fan of the crust, but I understand why it is formulated the way it is... it's a bit crunchier than I would like, but it needs to be a bit stiff to stand up to the incredible weight of the toppings. Thanks for a...

Their pizza's standard thick crust and base makes this place unique. It has a great soft and semi-pillowy texture that could rival an Olive Garden breadstick! On top of that, it is delicious.
The Pie's biggest strength is the fact they put down a big load of fresh, flavorful full fat mozzarella cheese on their pizza, with some Italian herbs included. For how thick the crust is, they NAILED their cheese game! It is why I think the pizza is good.
However, they fall short in the sauce department. With the amount of pizza per square inch you are getting from here, the amount of sauce they put on the pie is lacking. There is too high a cheese to sauce ratio. The sauce's flavor sits in the background. Additionally, there is no moisture barrier between the sauce and crust as it bakes, which results in a thin, doughy gum line on the crust. Not good. This can also happen if the pizza base is too thick, and man... That is also where they stand out from the pack!
I'd get this again if I needed to feed 2 people for under $25, and have leftovers. However, it isn't my favorite pizza in...
Read moreAlthough everyone at the PP seemed to be enjoying their meals, mine was not very good. There is a cool vibe for the two-level diner that I do like, but there were issues. And the place was packed and very busy on a Saturday evening! First, the constant - and I mean CONSTANT - calling out the orders over the p.a. system got to be quite annoying and made it difficult for our party to have any significant conversation. Then they forgot about my pizza, and I had to go down to check on it since so many people had gotten their food who came in and ordered after I did. My pizza - a Buffalo chicken ranch - was poorly made and not cooked well. It didn't look appetizing at all. It was greasier than it needed to be, the chicken was stringy and undercooked, it lacked any real flavor besides the Buffalo sauce, and I got thin crust which wasn't a good choice. It actually looked like a cheap, greasy cheese pizza from a chain pizzaria. Now, all the other pizzas around me at our table and other tables looked much better, so it probably isn't fair on my first visit to be too harsh about my dining experience at The PP. I may give it another try, but not too soon. Their in-house root...
