The first time I came here, I wasn't sure about why I had. The menus are printed into the table itself, the seats have a small round cushion on them and there's always international sports (usually soccer) on the television. But when the waiter (who I found out is also the owner) came, his authentic Bosnian accent told me that I had found something special. I never before thought that Bosnia was anything other than a place close to Georgia and some other countries that were just on the map.
However, the food tells a tale of simplicity, home and family tradition. I first had the cevapi sausages on a most delicious bread. The subtle yet scrumptious flavors kept me asking why no other restaurant has even attempted something like this. Their hand made pepper and cream sauces that come with every dish added just the right amount of spice and balance to my meal. I knew once my plate was clean that I'd be hooked.
I've had just about everything on the menu and I honestly can say that whether you want some nice hot Goulash on a cold day, or shish-kebabs with imported Bosnian drink to relax with on a hot day, there's nothing I can't recommend. I have made it a point to bring everyone I know to this place and every time they are surprised by how good the food is and how decent the prices are. They are surprised even more so that 1 couple owns and operates everything there!

Read moreWe went a few weeks ago and were so happy to find this little gem. We had never been to a Bosnian restaurant. We miss traveling and thought we would seek out some restaurants to help us feel like we were out traveling. The food was delicious! I loved the restaurant decor. Purple and copper are so beautiful together. The murals were beautiful. It was kept so clean and organized. The man running the Cafe that day was named Ibro, i believe. He did everything! It felt like he was hosting us in his home. The Food is nutritious and comforting. We got the platter to share. Their Turkish coffee was SO good. We even bought some milka chocolate bars after. We will definitely be going here again. 💜
Went back again and we were very happy to see the place full of people. We even met some new staff. Mila (I believe was her name) was a wonderful host. This time we got the Zeljanica (Fillo dough stuffed with spinach and cheese) SO good! I wish I could have it for breakfast every morning.😂 My husband got steak and eggs and I got the chicken sandwich. (It was huge!) So delicious. Their meat is seasoned well and has a nice char to it. Don't forget to try the Turska Kafa...

We tried the Old Bridge Platter for two, it was incredible. Tender meats, soft rice, and every item bursting with flavor. All made fresh and served hot.
The ambiance is great too, beautiful murals and items from Bosnia everywhere. It's a very clean place and they carry chocolate, mixes and other treats on some shelves along the wall.
The desserts are incredible too, get both the layered cake and the baklava-- you won't be disappointed.
We visited Bosnia (Mostar city) a few years ago for our anniversary, and came here 2 years later to celebrate again.
The owners are conversational, good-hearted and fascinating people. They immigrated from Bosnia 20+ years ago and started this restaurant. He is an amazing cook and she makes the delicious desserts. We talked for a while and they taught us a lot about Bosnia and former Yugoslavia we...
