What a disappointment!

Both the chain, and this location have deteriorated markedly since our last visit here. We wanted to get an early start on running some errand so stopped here for an early breakfast. The place was not busy and we were seated right away. The menu has about half the items that it used to have. That was our first disappointment. My companion wanted a particular combination for breakfast which was not one of the ones they had. She asked the waitress how she could build it, the waitress said that it's not a problem so she explained what she wanted, and she got it. When we got the bill, we noticed that the waitress built this up as individual line items so it was priced almost twice what was one of the combinations that had more items in it than we got. We could have (should have?) gotten the combo and not eaten the item we did not want. This is something the waitress should have told us about.

I got the biscuits and sausage gravy combo. The gravy was tasteless. It was basically flour and milk. There were some bits and pieces of another color that I suppose were the crumbled sausage but there was no sausage flavor apparent in the mixed up pasty stuff that arrived. I also got their special hash brown casserole. This is one of their specialties and I've always enjoyed it. Now, I know they make it in big hotel pans and scoop some out when they get an order for it, but why was it kept at room temperature? Could they not have put the hotel pan in a steam tray? Or put it under some heating lamps to keep it at least warm if not hot?

On the other hand, the biscuits were really good and the bacon was made the way I asked.

Based on the way the menu shrunk, the kitchen mistakes, and the way the waitress treated us, I do not think we will be coming to any Cracker Barrels in the long foreseeable future!

Mother's day they was a very long line but we were at the beginning of the line, first seated. Order our drinks and food short-time later we all knew what we wanted before we got there. But we waited and waited and waited 2hrs watching party's of people none melanin skin tone black who came after us eat and go. We watched a white party of 12 or more be seated, eat go and their seats broken back and cleaned again. Waitress kept saying to us sorry things are on the slow side today 🤔 I left and went shopping at Target while mom sat watching ppl being seated eat and go.. I wanted to stay gone & eat elsewhere, but it was mother's day and Grandma in her young 80's cried to stay and keep waiting for her food. I go back to cracker barrel after shopping & trying things on at Target We finally were getting served our food.. The food was The only THING right Thank God after coming sitting waiting & coming back.! Would have been faster to get a chicken at a farm butcher it clean it cook it & pick fresh vegetables at the garden clean and cook!! NOT exaggerating a little about that devil awful service. Grandma said it reminded her of when she was a little girl growing up down in Tennessee😡😠😤 I plead the blood of Jesus over them people working and owner. That was AWFUL we were showed no respect..!! THE ONLY STAR I GIVE THIS PLACE IS THE FACT THAT THEY SELL REAL YANKEE...

Spectacular failure for take out. Let me preface with I always tip for to go when I order and I picked up within my pick up window. Also we are working on cleaning up a Rental house, so had no utensils, and no way to heat up food and no way to add ice. I am currently eating cold meatloaf, cold Mac and cheese and cold mashed potatoes and drinking room temperature tea. I got to the restaurant and had never had their to go before so I went in and was actively ignored by the cashier. She left the desk I was waiting at to seat people, then took a phone call all while I was standing there with no idea if I was even in the right place. I just wanted to ask if I was. Finally she tells me “go check over there” and gestures to a stand. So I grab my bags and ask specifically if there were utensils in the bags. Because we had no way to eat otherwise. I was told “oh yeah. I immediately notice the drinks have no ice and look warm, but I don’t have time to mess around with this with 5 hungry people waiting on me. I get back, no utensils. Drinks are warm. We have no way to eat. I call twice, no answer. I have to go take utensils from my in-laws (who have COVID) place because it’s closer and I’ve got three hungry kids all staring at food they can’t eat, watching it get colder by the minute.
