Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Texas

I go here every week atleast twice- 3 times a week. I work night shifts and get off at midnight so im usually running through the drive through for a late night snack around 1:30am. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I come its 10 mins per car order. And this is in the middle of the night when everyone is sleep. Theres been a couple of times i was told to please hold at the drive thru menu, like tonight and literally sat there for 3-5 mins with nobody saying a word. Whataburger is down the street 2 mins away and they are literally faster than this Jack n the Box , im not over exaggerating and Whataburger is known for taking a long time. They dont have apple pay here and they swipe your card, if it doesnt work , they type in the number (which takes even longer). The worker in the drive thru typed in my card number and says that my card doesnt work. I told him i come every other night, and it always works. i asked if he is typing it in correctly more than once, and he swore he was typing it all in correctly. i already knew he wasn't because my phone tells me when my card has been declined and i never got a notification, meaning he was typing it in wrong. I was so upset , i sat in the drive thru for over 15mins for him to type in my card number wrong and swear he knew what he was doing… i just pulled off and now im at whataburger and just successfully ordered my food. Card just went through fine with no problems. HORRIBLE SERVICE...

I was heading back to College Station from visiting my sister in Texas City. I was starving. I pulled off to go to another Jack In The Box but for some reason I jumped back on the freeway until I reached this one. NOW I KNOW WHY. I was waiting for my food when a young guy came in and ordered water. That was a sign he could be homeless. I walked over to him and asked if he was homeless and he said yes. I asked him if he was hungry and he said he was starving. I took him to the counter and told him to order what he wanted. Bless his heart..he only wanted 2 small double meat cheese burgers and ff. He must of said Thank you 20 times. I had someone ask me a stupid question. They said ma'am your white and this guy is black. Why did you help him. I don't see color in people I saw someone who was hungry so I fed him and gave him enough money to eat again. WHY IS IT Everything is about race now days. Why can't it just be about people helping people. I PRAY That if you are out eating & you see someone hungry that you will feed them & not be concerned about the color of their skin.

These pictures speak for themselves. Mediocre food, mediocre service, and that’s on their good days. Bad days you can expect even worse food and worse service. I’ve lived in the area for 20yrs and have tried them on many different occasions throughout the year and it has generally always been this way with no improvement other than the restaurant itself getting remodeled a while back.

Edit: Here we are 5 months later. And I decide to go back. Was in the mood for some breakfast. I think to myself “a couple breakfast sandwiches from Jack in the box sound good”. I get there at 11:50am and get told they don’t have any breakfast. The place that supposedly does breakfast all day doesn’t have a single breakfast item….not a single one. And trust me I asked if they had anything breakfast related and was told no. So needless to say I drove off because this place doesn’t deserve another single dime from anyone. At this point they should really just shut it down and let a place that actually cares...
