Very Disappointed. Waited 35min for 1 waffle and double hashbrown. Families came and went, to go orders came and went still then only did i get my order. Waffle was overcooked, and the waiter asked if that was too overcooked for my liking. I told him it looked kinda hard and overcooked but I have waited for 30min and I couldn't wait longer. See photo. ( I added butter and syrup).
Long story below.
Walked in to place a to order. As soon as I walked in, I was not greeted nor given any direction on where I can sit. That didnt bother me till i saw others getting the full treatment. I didn't want to take up any counter space so i sat in the waiting chairs.
Looking around I can tell the place was at 80% capacity so i figured they were busy. I saw orders coming out, coffee being refilled, workers chatting it up with customers, but still no one took my order or even acknowledged me.
5min later, another family of 3 walk in and was greeted by the waitress and directed where to sit, the waiter immediately gave them menus and took their drink order. At this point i was concerned that i if didn't speak up and get my order in, my order would take longer.
I waited by the register and no one acknowledged me again, a waitress passed by and made eye contact with me and I said "excuse me" and she walked right on by. Another waiter turned, looked at me and turned back around. So i called him again, "Sir, i would like to place a to-go order". At that point the smiles came out and I was able to place my order.
I sat down, feeling accomplished. As i sat down, another ladie walked in and was greeted and asked how can we help you. She placed a to-go order also and it was a double hashbrown.
Another 10min passed and the family of 3 received their order and was getting refills on drinks. The guy looked at me and said, we are working on your order now. I was settled.
another 15min later, the family of 3 paid and was gone. The ladie with the to-go order of double hashbrowns was called, she paid and left.
I stood up and asked and the guy said, "you wanted a pecan waffle right". I said yes and double hash.
He then went made it and 5min later i stood up again. At this point we hit the 33min mark. I still kept my smile on my face and respectable composure. When the waiter pointed out my waffle was overcooked and that he can make another one, I was upset. The resturant had cleared out and was about 20% capacity. And i told him, it sucks to see many people come after me, even families, eat, pay and leave and I am still waiting on 1 waffle and hashbrowns. I told him I am fine with the overcooked waffel.
The waiter said, "I understand man." Suffice to say it was worth leaving this review.
I would not recommend this place for the service and the...
Read moreWhat happened to this Waffle House? My wife and I have been going here for years and this is not the waffle house we knew. This was the first time we placed a to go order. When we got there, we found out that our order wasn't even started yet. This was 20 mins after the order was placed and when the app said to be there. Then sat there and waited. While waiting we observed the place was filthy. There was raw waffle fragments all around the waffle station, dirty dishes laying about. There were a lot of people sitting at tables and counter waiting for their food. We finally got our food and left. Got to around krogers and looked in the bag and discovered our order wasn't completed. We ordered gravy on our hash browns and there wasn't any. So we went back. The young lady that helped said she forgot to put the gravy on our order and when she went to get some she discovered they didn't have any more gravy and it would take an hour to make it. This is crazy considering the gravy is pre-made in plastic bags. I've seen them. Then she offered us chili instead. Not really feeling like having chili but what are we supposed to do. Ugh!!! So we went home with our food and then we discovered the meat was missing. No bacon and no sausage.
While there we noticed there were 3 cooks that seemed to be clueless, couldn't take the orders, asking the order takers to constantly repeat the orders, getting them mixed up, just outright confusion on the grill and everywhere.
Did this waffle house change management? Ownership? Or what? The regulars that we knew were no where to be found. Everyone working there were new faces to us.
I don't know if we will ever be back to this waffle house. It was an...
Read moreA beautiful waitress greeted me, with the smile of goddess. After picking my jaw off the ground, I greeted her back kindly. The waitress, with a voice like honey, asked me if needed time or if I knew what I wanted. I wanted her, but my mouth said " Two waffles please." I said. " Coming right up" she replied back. I knew she was walking, but she seemed to be floating across the floor. Every step she took was a intricate dance between her feet and the floor. I watched like a judge from dancing with the stars, ready to praise her after her performance. Even though it seemed time froze, my waffles we're ready and sitting in front of me. I snapped out of my trance and proceeded to eat the most delicious waffles known to mankind. If Mr. Trump was here, I am sure he would have declared these waffles, the best waffles in the world and then proceed to build a wall of waffles. I owed 5$ for the meal, but I tipped her 15$. She smiled that glorious smile, capable of winning hundreds of beauty pageants, straight at me before saying. " Thank you, have a good day sir." I might be wrong, but I am sure she telepathically said to me " You are so big and strong. You are the man I've been waiting for all my life. Take me away my prince." After I stopped starring at her for a unusual and awkward amount of time, I turned and left out the front door. As I entered my vehicle, I wondered if should go back in there, sweep her off her feet and take her away to a better life. I decided I had enough restraining orders already and went on...
