We are long time patrons of Bob Evans restaurants and have visited multiple locations in various states with excellent service. We recently moved to Springboro, OH and this was our first visit to this location. We visited right around lunch time and the location was busy. We didn't mind the wait and were seated fairly quickly. Shortly after being seated our server, Angie, came to get our drink order and that was the end of the positive service from our waitress. She brought back drinks but did not bring the lemon I asked for with my water. I asked her again for the lemon but she seemed annoyed that I asked her for it. She did bring it right back and took our order. Another member of my party ordered a bacon cheeseburger without tomato or onion. When our food was delivered the bacon cheeseburger came with only tomato and onion, and no lettuce or pickles, and was also missing the cole slaw side. When our waitress finally came back to check in on us, we asked for the lettuce and pickles, and she again seemed annoyed. She brought back the lettuce, pickles and check. We did not get refills for the remainder of our meal. She did stop by one time, picked up my plated, and walked away with the plate and my fork. I still had some of my meal remaining and no fork to eat it with. I waited for her to come back so I could at least ask for a box, but she did not come back to our table. We waited for 20 minutes to get a box and I even went to pay the bill while my party waited for her to come back to the table. She had multiple tables around us and kept going to those tables but did not come near our table. I finally got the attention of another employee and they asked her if she would bring us a box for my leftover biscuit and sausage gravy. She stood at the table behind ours and held the box out for me to stand up and get from her. She also gave me a regular container instead of the container that would hold the gravy. We were very disappointed with the service we received today since we have always had such excellent service in the past. This incident has us questioning if we will return to this location or just drive further away to another location where we have received much better service...
Read moreI usually have nothing bad to say about Bob Evans. Today when I went in to pick up my carry-out order that I ordered online, I tried to use my coupon from retail me not which wasn't working. The little girl behind the counter talked over me and brushed me off, she was begging for me to smack her up side the head of she rolled her eyes one more time, but I'm trying to be a better person. She definitely needs a lesson in customer service. I asked for a manager, in which she sighed and walked away. The manager came out, tried my coupon multiple times before realizing that retail me not posted an old code that didnt work. He was extreamly nice, although he could have given me the discount for all the trouble. I get to my car and strap my kid in his seat and then thought to myself maybe I should check my order. Well I was missing the biscuits that went with my biscuits and gravy.. so I unbuckled my son go back in the restaurant and tell the little girl that I was missing my biscuits. she says well let me pull up your order because I don't think you ordered any biscuits (with an attitude). I said I ordered biscuits and gravy and got no biscuits. she looks at me and says no ma'am you ordered sourdough toast... Again I am trying to be a better person LOL. So I told her again I ordered biscuits and gravy, I got the gravy but did not get my biscuits. She rolled her eyes threw some biscuits in the container hands that to me and says is there anything else, again with an attitude and a snarky smile on her face. BOB EVANS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF IN CUSTOMER SERVICE. The old me would have ripped the disrespectful little...

The Springboro Bob Evans is awful. It used to be wonderful and friendly and now it just sucks. At one point, me and my family were out and we were not served anything, not even silver ware, for over an hour. We got our drinks only because the busboy got them for us and told us how the waitresses were fighting to see who had to serve us. Finally this woman comes out after we had been sitting there for an hour and a half and treats us horribly, gets our orders wrong, and is surprised when we said we were just going to leave. There was no apology.
Then I decided to give it another chance so I went this afternoon for a salad with my mother and sisters and we got the same waitress. We weren’t ignored this time which is a plus, but our orders were wrong. My mom asked for a plain cheeseburger, but was given one with everything on it. I ordered a salad with an extra chicken breast, but I got less chicken than my sister did and she just got a regular salad. I thought she must have forgotten to write it down, but I was charged for it. I saw that the rest of the staff was very short with other people too at other tables.
Now to the food. I have never had such an awful salad. No joke, I truly believe it was that salad spring mix at Kroger. Also, the little bits of chicken that I did get had those chewy hard tendons on it and weird brown spots on the inside. I was really hungry so I was eating some of it but then at one point I just had to spit it out.
