This is the best place in the world if you do not value your time. I have been to this Starbucks 5 times, and 4 out of the 5 were bad experiences, with this last one being terrible. So, let's begin:
Trip 1: It was a hot summer day, around 1PM - and I thought to myself, "I would like to have a nice, cold drink right about now". So, I decided to pull in to Starbucks and order an iced latte. There were two cars in front of me as I was at the ordering box in the drive thru. Two. 15 minutes goes by, nobody is moving. I really just wanted to get out of the line at this point, but guess what, you can't because it is a single-file path all the way out of the drive thru, and I had someone behind me. So I sat patiently waiting, wondering if I was ever going to make it out, or if I was going to have to Dukes of Hazzard my way out of the line at some point. Eventually, the line moved, and 20 minutes into the ordeal I had my drink. I had enough time where I could have gotten out of my car, walked to Tim Horton's a block down, ordered a drink, and got back into my car and drank it before I even got through the line at Starbucks (I did not do this, but I definitely could have).
Trip 2: About two weeks later. I figured I would give it another go. I thought to myself "Maybe something was wrong last time - I will give them the benefit of the doubt". I pull up, and I am two or three cars away from getting to the box. 10 minutes pass. No movement at all. "Fool me once..." I thought to myself, so I decided to keep what little bit of sanity I had left at that point and pulled out of the line before I got trapped again.
Trip 3: "Fool me three times", I guess, because I went back a week later, because I'm stubborn, and I was determined to get that coffee no matter how hard they tried to prevent me. Instead of going through the drive through, I parked and went inside. Within 5 minutes, I had my order placed and my drink was on it's way. Hooray!
Trip 4: After about a month, I decided to try the drive-through again. "I have to have the worst luck" - I thought, "This one had to be better". Nope. The line was massive to start with. So I waited about 15 minutes to get to the box (at least it was "somewhat" moving this time). I got up there, and wanted to order a Cold Brew - well too bad, they were out. Great. Good news is, I am stuck at this point, so instead of just being able to pull out, I have to either order nothing and wait, or order something I don't want (which I did), and wait. 20-25 minutes through the whole ordeal, I finally got the drink I didn't want. Success!
Trip 5: This one takes the cake. I tried AGAIN today, 9/23 at 11:07 AM. This time, I was going to be smart, and order my drink through the app, and pick it up when it was ready (another Cold Brew). I completed my order, then proceeded to drive 7-8 minutes to the store. When I got to the store, the app said my order would be completed "Soon", so I went inside and waited by the mobile pick-up booth. The store was busy, they had a line inside of maybe 15-20 people. At that point, I thought I had made a great decision to "skip" the line by order online. Nope. I waited 20 more minutes and the ENTIRE line instead was served and not one person acknowledged me. There was one other family that came in behind me that had the same issue. I eventually got someone's attention, and asked if they had maybe forgotten our drinks. She asks my name, I tell her, and then, she turns one of the empty cups beside her over to me and says "We are out of Cold Brew, that's why your cup was here". ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!?! So you made me wait 20 minutes without even speaking to me, force me to get your attention, and you are telling me the reason for the wait is because I was supposed to know an inconspicuous empty cup sitting on a table meant you were out of Cold Brew (again)? I just asked for my money back and went to Tim Horton's.
I will never be back to this Starbucks. My only justice is someone there wastes as much time reading this review as I have wasted...
Read moreWe live in Middletown and the only Starbucks we have is a little store inside Kroger. My daughter loves going to Starbucks and I drove all the way from Middletown to take her to a real Starbucks. We walked into a completely empty store with 3 employees behind the counter and stood at the counter for over 15 minutes before someone rudely asked us what we wanted. My daughter asked for a cotton candy drink. She said she knew what she was talking about and we paid and waited for more than 20 minutes for some kind of vanilla Carmel frap with raspberry syrup. I normally wouldn't let my 9 yr old drink a frappe but the employees were so rude and acted as though we was bothering them. Being in the store. I just took what they gave us and left to get out of there as fast as possible. All we got was dirty looks and ignored the whole time. The girl that took our order literally said "what can get for you" and " I know what you want". Once they did make the drink. They sat it on the counter and it sat there for another 5 minutes before another employee asked us what we was waiting for. I told her some kind of cotton candy drink and the girl that took our order walked over and said this is it. If she knew that was our drink and we was the only 2 people in the store besides the employees. Why did we have to stand there and wait so long for them to give us the wrong drink. They acted as if we was making them uncomfortable. If that was the case. They could have given us the drink after they made it. So we could leave sooner. Not leave it sitting and ignore us for a little longer. This is by far the worst customer service. I've ever...
Read moreI've always had great experiences at this Starbucks, but today takes the cake and is worth writing a thorough review about. I was in the drive thru line at 7:30am. I suddenly heard honking behind me and realized that another customer in the parking lot was actively attempting to back out of the space. I could have moved up a bit, but I did not believe it would far enough up for her to avoid hitting the back of my car if I did.
I honked back, letting her know to wait until I could move up a bit more. She refused to listen, moved back until she was inches away from my car (honking back the whole time), and then got out and started screaming at me, calling me names, and cursing me out. In the time she was doing this, the line moved up, so she literally could have waited two seconds. She drove off in a fury, flipping me off in the process. The last couple days have been pretty rough for me and this horrible interaction was the final straw. It was all I could do to keep it together to put my order in.
When I got to the window, the baristas handing me the sandwich told me it was on them. I was confused and asked if they were sure and they basically said they had seen what happened and that the other customer was being unnecessarily cruel.
I'm really grateful for how kind they were!! It really made all the difference in my day to be treated with such care and kindness after someone else had been so awful to me. Thank you guys...
