Checking in was interesting (I had called multiple times the day of and prior to this trip to line everything out) staff radioed to housekeeping to switch out the pillows because of down allergies in the family after it was already on my reservation...(+1 star) The bad about this. I was unloading car and handling car rental situation on the phone. When my mother in law goes into our room... It wasn't clean... Trash from previous guest...used towels still hanging on the rack.. interesting for sure. (-1 star) My guy Jacob up front got me squared away. This hotel is not new! It was cleanish. Lots of floor stains and such on multiple levels. Smells good from the air freshener they have flowing in the building. We had a short stay here to visit the area. The layout of the 2 bedroom double queen / king suite was great. (+1 star) The pool was quaint [ heated indoor] and hot tub was working so yay... the girls at least got to try it out. Breakfast was pretty decent especially the staff working it. They had stuff out freah and stocked and were wearing smiles.. [Eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins, waffles, cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt] The food/cleaning staff all very friendly and accommodating (+1 stars) They had snacks (mon-thurs) in the gigantic commons area and didn't feel crammed at all (+1 star) This hotel location is easy to find and surrounding area has quite a few food/entertainment options within a short drive away. (+1 star) I wouldn't recommend walking if big city isn't your thing. After a short talk with the Jacob who got me squared away - about my check in experience I feel a lot better about this being our choice hotel for a future return. (He should be commended! He is the reason we will return) I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the beds were! Our family enjoyed the visit. (*** Also while visiting this is the city... unfortunately we saw in the parking lot a smash and grab window busted on a car. Now they allegedly do have parking security and cameras on poles out there... But someone had a rough vacation this week. Fortunately it wasn't us) ***Room 314 had some issues. Syrup sticky situation under dining table. Not from us. Shower curtain holder not functional. I wedged it to avoid water buildup on the floor. Main room Door is warped or off track. Super loud and difficult to shut. Slammed it every time we left or came in. TV in double queen has glitchy either TV or TV cable box not sure which. A lot of channels were dark screen. We came to visit my husband who is here for work, we traveled here from Florida. The space of the room provided us just what we needed so we wouldn't feel crowded.

I want to start off by saying the staff has been AMAZING 👏 Front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance. There are times I can see the frustration on their faces, with amount of guest and things going wrong I can understand their frustration. They were extremely accommodating given our early arrival from out of state. Our flight landed at 7:45 am. I am thanful for that. They had us in a room by lunch time. My experience is OUT OF THEIR CONTROL, our first room on the 8th floor with 2 bedrooms smelled of urine. The first day was not as bad however the smell became more apparent as the cleaning supplies smell wore away. I will also add, the pillows are so worn out my neck hurts, my lower back is killing me from the beds. My two children of 11 & 12 years old started complaning of neck and back discomfort by night 3. Our comforter in the 1 bedroom 1 bed had marker marks on it, the couch was disgusting, I put clean sheets over it so my children could sit down (thats how bad they are). Walls are dirty, doors are banged up, random stains on furniture, does not feel clean (it has nothing to do with housekeeping more so with the quality and condition that the furniture and appliances are in). I did reach out to front desk regarding the urine smell, unfortunately they were sold out of the rooms i was in, but they did say they would send someone to shampoo the carpets and asked to leave the room. I informed front desk once I would head down to the pool with my children, no one ever came and no one ever called me to.say they were done. After 2 hours I decided to head back to our room.

The following day I went to the front desk to discuss the matter, unfortunately the lady was unaware. She immediately took action, my family and I would be moved into a new room. It sucked having to pack everything up and moving but I made the best of it. Yup, we had to pack all of our belongs and move to the 4th floor.

4th floor, 2 bedroom experience Gratefully no foul smell, that was a relieve. Couch in this room is equally gross as the previous room. Found socks behind a bedroom door, tv would not work after they came in twice to fix it, the bedroom with 2 beds had a huge wet spot in the carpet turns out there is some leak coming from the above floor, dish soap is water down, i domt understand this because in our previous room the dish soap was not.

For the amount of money ($1500 + tax + daily parking fee). I am paying a lot of money to stay here I am disappointed. I regret not doing more research before booking.

Again the employees here are AMAZING, they are doing the best they can. However the owner of this place needs to do some serious updates and give this place so MUCH NEEDED TLC.

Yes, they only have one elevator but its not a major factor.

I have photos but not sure how to...
