While in stl, my husbands company decided to book the team here for the week. While the hotel is beautiful, the staff night staff (especially) is an absolute nightmare to deal with. As my 3 girls (17 & 4yo twins) arrive, the twins have to potty after a 6 hour drive as to be expected. Our phones were dead, we went in and told them which room husband is in and were here to finish the week with him to visit. Not only can we not reach him due to dead battery but they refuse to let the 4 year old twins so much as even go potty even though their father is waiting for them in his room. Also, I called in advance to set it all up with front desk that I’m going to have an order delivered to surprise my husband with. I arranged everything with them at about 8am. It was a $70 Walmart delivery order they were suppose to sign for and hold until he got off work. By the time he got there someone took his entire order, refused to look up camera when requested and was just overall rude and not willing to help. Needless to say my daughter had one of her most traumatizing experiences when she potties her pants as it’s not something she’s done since she was in diapers. There was no food here when we arrived which was part of the planned order. To top it all off the team AND MANAGER HANNAH refuses to even show that they care in the slightest. Walmart has proven the order was delivered and signed for. What was supposed to be a vacation that let my kids enjoy their daddy for the first time in weeks as he works out of town all year and barely makes it home some weekends ended up being a traumatizing nightmare. Thanks Marriott. Not sure his company will be occupying anymore rooms through them after this week. At least not with Fairfield. If you’re looking for a peaceful stay with no stress, this is the hotel for that. I’ve tried taking it up with management and I can’t handle another eye roll or being sighed at like THEY’RE annoyed. Finally I decided to put the warning out there as they refuse to compensate for any damage, make it right, or even...
Read moreAn absolutely great location that is right across the street from the new St. Louis city soccer stadium, it's two blocks walking distance from the city market Union station area. It's easily accessible just off of I64.The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and fairly well stocked. And the one downside would be the in room refrigerator. It was very tiny and had no freezer section, which depending on the visitor they may or may not need. I am coming from far enough away and with children that I needed to refreeze freezer packs for snacks. The breakfast each morning was okay. It was scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs with cheese plus sausage. One morning it was a choice of turkey, sausage patties or pork sausage patties, while the next day was a choice of pork sausage links or chicken sausage links. Links. Plus they had the standard bread, English muffin, bagels, muffin, fruit. The downside would be the lack of waffle maker. I don't know why that makes a difference, because I don't really eat waffles. But my kid loves waffles and loves to make them. And instead of having a waffle maker, they had a hot plate filled with pre-made bagged frozen waffles that they had preheated for everybody. Oh yeah in my pics you'll see a pic of my kid's milk. IT wasn't expired, but the ad on it was and it gave me quite a scare when I saw it.And depending on plans, and what I need to be close to, if need be I will definitely stay here again with my family. The area was safe, clean, and I forgot the funniest part... Directly across the street from the...
Read moreHello, im an avid traveler! During my stay at the Fairfield Downtown. I was rushing out and left my room key behind. I was going out to the House of Soul and Sophie's Art Lounge (two great spots w/ great service). However, i needed a bag that was in my truck in the garage. I asked the young lady in the pic for a room key. Intentionally, she was not at the desk. When I saw her, I smiled pleasantly at her. Her face was so angry. I said, "hello I locked myself out of my room while getting something out of my truck (you need a key to enter the property) She got more furious to where I thought her eyes would pop out of her head. She replied in an irritated tone. I need your ID. Im older, so I didn't get upset and was scared of her anger. I replied, "I left my ID in the room, too. I was going to my truck to grab a bag."But I have my passport on my phone." She looked me still furious, lips snarled and said, okay. While huffing and puffing while I looked for my pic in my phone. I showed her the picture and received my room key. She made sure to have it to me while only holding the tip of the card. I felt bad when I left the desk. When I arrived back, she was smiling talking to the bartender. I just went back to my room. And said whatever just happened is on a young person who has an issue that i didn't cause. Please, if you have any dealings with this lady. Please leave a review and contact...
