This was once my go to Starbucks to visit since its on my work commute. The employees remain very courteous and well intentioned but over the last six months I have watched as the quality of the service has declined.
More often lately, my in person order is pushed to the back of the line in order to process mobile orders. My normal dark roast and oatmeal order can sometimes take 10 minutes where it used to only take 2-3 minutes even at the busiest time of the morning.
This morning I ordered my usual and to my surprise I didnt receive a spoon or the normal oatmeal toppings. Upon further inspection, the blueberries look to have mold on them.
I tried to contact Starbucks via their app but at the time of this review, I have been waiting 15 minutes for a representative to help me.
I'm sure alot of the change in service is due to lack of person power or new employees, maybe new leadership but I can't let that be a valid excuse. Starbucks prices have risen pretty noticeably to the point where a medium coffee and oatmeal is almost $10. For that price point I...
Read moreFrom a convenience point, it's one of the best located Starbucks in downtown St Louis with a drive thru. The establishment itself is nice. Drinks and food are often brought out fully cooked and hot. The staff are somewhat friendly but that's where my positivity for this specific Starbucks stops for me lately.
The issues I have at this specific establishment are the wait times mainly. Without going into assumptions here are my observations from going here every other day for weeks:
It's the slowest service of any Starbucks in the area. I've waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes with only two cars total in the line and when the line is full of feasible to be in the drive thru for 15-20 minutes on the worst of days. Going inside the service isn't any faster but can't tell if it's due to the need for more staff or otherwise.
Other considerations...It's not a convenient place to park if you decide to go in rather than wait in line in the mornings. The lines block parking access or make it extremely difficult to go in and...

Interior is a bright, welcoming, open floor plan with plenty of seating once we get back to dining, working, meeting, chillaxing at cafes again. The restrooms are upscale chic as a public restroom can be with the soap/water flow/dryer in a single sink location. This really cuts down on paper towel waste it I like to have a little tissue to open the door after washing my hands personally.
Service was prompt and pleasant (I was the only one brave enough to walk inside I guess) the drive thru was popping. My coffee was made just as I'd requested and I was on my merry way.
Oh, plenty of outdoor patio seating and...
