We paid $503.70 for the hotel and there was NO access to the pool, hot-tub, gym, sauna, or restaurant. They were “closed for the weekend” starting Thursday. The only thing open, beside the conference which we attended, was the bar – and neither of us drink!|One of the four elevators was broken before we got there on Thursday; I learned from other reviews that there was elevator issues the prior weekend, where three of four elevators were down.|There were only a few parking spots up front, either handicapped (fortunately I am) or reserved for registration or a beauty salon. A large section of the parking garage was blocked off, due to a car fire that happened days before our arrival. That section remained closed through the entire weekend. In fact, the parking garage was full to capacity for most of the weekend. Other guests had to park at another garage, or even Stop & Shop garage a few blocks away.|We checked in Thursday, and learned that there is an additional $100 hold for the first night and additional $50 hold for the other nights on our credit card “for incidentals”. Even though the hotel knew MONTHS in advance that the hotel was full, they had ONE person at the front desk Thursday evening when many were trying to check-in. The line was outside the front door several times.|I also noted that for such a huge lobby/atrium, there was only ONE garbage can, and ZERO recycle bins. There were no garbage bins available in the panel/conference rooms either, let alone recycle bins. In fact, there were no recycle bins in the rooms either.|We hung up our towels and washcloths on Thursday night to reuse them (and save water usage). Friday, housekeeping took the towels, and we had to go to the front desk for replacements. They did not have washcloths at the front desk, and we were told that they would bring them up to the room within an hour – but we had to be there. So, we waited TWO hours – missing panels and events at the conference, and ended up having to go back to the front desk for the washcloths.|Friday evening, three of the four elevators were down, and the final elevator was “acting up.” Since I was in a wheelchair, I had to leave a conference panel and head back to my room. Upon arriving at my room, I found that I was locked out, even though we had the room until Sunday. There was a long line at the front desk because most – if not all – of the people that checked into the hotel on Thursday were similarly locked out of their rooms too. The hotel took our key cards and gave us metal keys to the room, warning us that it would cost us $100 each if we lose them. Even if the amenities were open, we would THUS have no access to them. I also learned that I had no access from the parking garage into the hotel without a key card. I will admit that the hotel was quick to get the elevators repaired, and that three of four were running by the next morning.|Saturday morning, I discovered that Friday’s housekeeping did not replenish the sugar, coffee, and cups. So, I went to the front desk. I told the attendant that housekeeping could bring it up when the room is cleaned, as I was going to attend the conference that morning. The front desk replied that there was “NO HOUSEKEEPING on weekends”. She pointed out that they do not have the staff for it, even though the hotel knew MONTHS in advance that the hotel was full. I was told that I was “lucky to have housekeeping on Friday,” as not everyone did. I will admit that supplies were dropped off in the room, but the bed was not made, nor was the bathroom wiped down. So, we did not receive housekeeping.|The staff was not as friendly as other hotels. I can understand that the front desk – often only one person – was bombarded by several issues and was very angry and short-tempered to guests. But other staff that I saw purposely ignored any greeting of “good morning”, smiles or similar. Many guests felt that the staff was warned NOT to interact with us; most purposely looked the other way when I met them.|By Sunday, we were so disgusted with the hotel, that we took pictures of EVERYTHING in the room, to ensure the hotel would not keep the additional $200 that was on hold. I will NEVER return to this hotel again. And I do NOT recommend...

Read moreThis was by far, the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. The hotel seemed to be actively doing what it could to make us feel unwelcome. I came for a 4 day convention that has a pre-signed contract with the hotel, which management chose to actively and repeatedly breach. Not only did they knowingly break it, but they did so two years in a row, in many of the same ways as a show of willful negligence. Some of the breaches of contract include declining to hire a transport service between hotels, as they originally agreed to; forcing the con to pay for a transport bus last minuet at a massive cost out of pocket, as well as declining to stock and maintain an agreed upon bar; costing the convention over $1000 last year and an unknown amount this year having to hire and stock a mobile one themselves. Some more of these breaches of contract were claimed to be due to 'systems' the hotel has in place, but our contract was for 2-years and these issues happened last year as well meaning they had ample time to fix them but simply did not even try. Another example: On one of the middle days of the convention the hotel management left early in the day and disabled dozens of room keys without telling anyone (note: his with the keys specifically happened last year as well, and they promised it wouldn't happen again). They also shut off all elevators except for 1 (note: this convention involves a disproportionately large number of disabled who need to lift and move items pretty frequently as well). They left just one staff at the desks who had no idea what was going on and no way to fix anything. The front desk was flooded with many confused people who were now locked out of their rooms, many traveling from across the world or country in an unfamiliar city, only to be told they could only access their (already in-use) room if they modify their existing and paid-for room agreement to add on a $200 risk in case they loose the now required physical replacement keys (limited to 2 keys while most rooms are known to have 3-4 people). The single staff on claimed it was a 'system issue', which even if true: makes no sense to push the risk onto guests for a failure of the hotel... if anything they should be apologizing profusely for failing to uphold what was paid for. Instead I was threatened with security when asking what was happening; confused on being saddled with a sudden $200 risk I never agreed to for the hotel's mistake. (I know the mechanism they use for their locks, it's reconfigurable and basically free to replace keys. $100 per is an outright scam) The woman at the desk admitted she didn't know what was going on or if it was even legal, so I asked to speak to someone who did, I was asked to wait for about 20min, did patiently and quietly, then was threatened with security and being kicked out if I didn't "Take it or leave it". Later I was informed by staff that these events were not in err and were directly due to choices made by the management which feels like an obvious act of ill will to me. On top of these issues, during my stay 4 separate sections of the lobby ceiling leaked profusely each night, to the point that on multiple nights a different entrance of the hotel was closed off or lined with bins to prevent flooding. The only night they didn't close it off/clean up was when it was the handicap entrance. They also massively overbooked our room block for the 2nd year in a row. There are burnt cars surrounded by temp pilons being used as a main support in the garage. Many people attending who work in construction pointed out to me that this does NOT seem up to code and is in fact very dangerous; the fixes put in place seem to be only there to save as much money as possible, also reducing the amount of 'included' parking spots forcing guests to use paid ones across the street. When I tried to call the desk the last day to check-out, I learned our phone was a prop, handset wasn't connected and it didnt even have a plug AC didn't work for many rooms, and lobby AC was only on at night Rooms also...
