Open pot smoking with very young kids around did not make it a fun for many and the experience was only spoiled by a few people. A New large boxy food truck has decent food but has has been a issue with long time tennis enthusiasts. Athletes voiced their opinions to the food truck owners, it did no good to have the truck moved to a alternate location. Many different types of trucks have been complained to in the past. Most truck owners have had empathy for players and used other locations. Additionally, In the past, food trucks were not allowed to camp out in parking spaces. Also, in many past years, trucks had designated spots away from tennis courts. So, no huge similar issues were at stake. For some reason, this truck has no understanding of the legit tennis grips or just does not care. At issue is the truck's constant loud generator noise output which is deafening to tennis players. One can barely hear opponents voice their scores. Certainly, if you were a worker near the truck, you would need ear protection. Also, the generator exhaust is unhealthy to active oxygen sucking tennis players. And, the vehicle takes up valuable parking spots from players. To the tennis crew it appears the food truck operator does not have any empathy for the complaining tennis people. Because, there was no win-win compromise after complaints were voiced. The truck operator has a permit and probably feels in does not have to compromise it's location. I like the truck but not it's historically unattainable location. Most tennis players feel the same way. This issue has or will ultimately have adverse effects on...
Read moreNice all-concrete skatepark. No authority or anyone to make you wear helmets or pads. Seems to be unlocked all hours. Lots of bowls and transitions. The bowls are in pretty good shape, not many cracks or bumps, although there are some. There are a few banks and pyramid type ramps, as well as a manual pad and box. There's also a concrete 5 stair with a nice hand rail. The larger park in general is pretty good for skating around, too. There's a school nearby with some decent curbs and manual spots as well. The only downside is this skatepark gets crowded especially in the evening. Suggest going in the morning when it's empty if you don't wanna deal with dodging little kids and crowds. BMX-friendly and I have seen lots of kids on razor scooters here as well. Apparently there's live music sometimes too, saw someone bring a drum set and play music...
