Donut Delight — Restaurant in Stamford

I have had several terrible experiences at the Donuts Delight on Summer Street in Stamford. This last experience did it for me. They got my order wrong yesterday and did not refund the item but instead charged me extra money for an item that is typically very cheap. I did not realized what happened until I checked my bank statement the following day. When i saw that the item was not returned on my bank statement and that I was actually charged extra instead I tried to go back to get a refund. I was told that they could not do the refund because the manager needed to look into it but there was no manager actually working that day so I was told that they needed to take my name and phone number so that a manager could call me back the following day to talk to me about a refund. I am 42 years old and In all my years ordering food at different establishments I have never had to leave my name and phone number to get a refund. I have also been working retail my whole life and know that this is not typical for a running establishment to not have a manager on duty to handle complaints and refunds. The past 3 days my order has been the same. Medium hot coffee , caramel syrup , extra cream , 1 sugar and an BEC on a croissant toasted dark . It was been made wrong or I have been given the wrong coffee. Yesterday i recieved a large coffee and was charged $3.10 , I asked the woman bagging the coffee cup if that was my order, she looked at me and walked away. I asked the cashier in the window , he assured me it was. I knew it wasn’t because the large cup Is white and the medium is purple then I was not given my croissant. I had to ask for it and was given attitude. Today I got a medium with the same order. I was given a medium with cream , no flavor or sugar. The woman at the window today was very nice and engaging and made small talk. It was not her fault as she didn’t make my coffee or talk my order. It is the same male staff every morning taking my order and giving me the wrong order. I will not be returning and not recommending my co workers to go there anymore.

Rudeness and incompetence; a match made in heaven. Not only did I have to ask the staff multiple times about the status of my 2 sandwiches after I realized 4-5 people after me already received their sandwiches and left, the Karen behind the counter had the audacity to bark at me for not hearing her call the order. She literally yelled at me across the store that I was the one that needed to pay attention. Lady, you're the one making the damn food. If you were paying attention in the first place, you wouldn't have to be nasty to me for not keeping my undivided attention to your counter for 15 minutes straight. Lotta pride for sandwiches worse than Dunkins. I also received a cold brew that was equivalent to Dunkins. The donuts were better than Dunkins, but not enough to deal with staff like this.
