Definitely agree with other recent reviews. Don't even bother staying here. Just walk over to the other hotels. It's cheaper and much better, from the rooms & the staff. First off, the entire place smells like paint. They are renovating the first floor, but you can smell the paint fumes even on the 4th floor in your room. It's so bad. Plus, it's just a mess. Right when you walk in, there are just things everywhere, and a bunch of wet paint signs up. The next thing is, the front desk clerk are just lazy. When we checked in, I believe her name was Yulie (she had glasses on & a European accent) gave us the basic room, even though we paid for the bigger room. We ended up just leaving within an hour because the room was so small (no counter space at all) it was the worst room I have ever been in. And with all the paint fumes, it was just a horrible. We told the Yulie we were checking out 2 days early and that we would just pay for this night (even though we were there for an hour) we just disliked it so much we wanted to be out of there. The lady said we were checked out and we just walked over to the Holiday Inn. Please just go over there, the rooms are updated and very spacious. Go to the next day, I checked the app, and we were still checked in to this hotel. I messaged them, and they said we never checked out, and now we were being charged 2 days for a room we only stayed in for an hour. Again, the front desk lady was just too lazy to even check us out and give us the room we originally paid for. Just all around ridiculous, and to top it all of the exercise room is just a storage room, so if you don't like working out during your stay and getting cancer from the paint fumes, and getting a downgrade to a room you paid for, stay here.....so sad this is how they treat there highest elite members. Don't even bother coming here. Just walk over to the Holiday Inn!

We reserved a King Suite over a month in advanced. When we arrived, they gave us a double. They said they were sold out for the night. The next morning, they were able to move us into a King Suite but it was a HUGE hassle. We had to take all of our belongings with us for the day since the room would not be ready until much later. Uggh! Breakfast was so crowded with young people and there weren't any chairs. They were just hanging out in the breakast area and wouldn't leave. Then, later that day, all of the young girls put on lingerie and hung out in the lobby and outside the hotel. It was bizarre. I think there was a music festival in town or something. 😆 The other major downfall was parking. This hotel shares a lot with FIVE other hotels, so yah, ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING. You would think you could rent a room and it comes with a place to park your rental BUT NOT HERE. We spent HOURS circling, looking for spots. NOPE! Customer service was not friendly. Dealing with them was stressful. Overall, this was a terrible experience. Save yourself a migraine and stay somewhere better.

I had a terrible customer experience with this location. During the recent storms that hit this past week, my home nearly caught fire from a 12kv line that snapped due to a fallen tree. The fire was so terrifying that my family & I had to evacuate out of our home last night. Due to this, my family & I were out of power.

As a concerned daughter & mother myself, I wanted to make sure my mother & five year old daughter had the accommodations needed to make it through the night. Therefore I called Midway Hampton Inn & reserved two double bed rooms. I spoke with Sandra who was very patient in listening to my situation. I booked those two rooms with the intentions of being out of power throughout the night. However to my surprise later in the afternoon that day, my power was restored. It was a relief & blessing.

At that point my family & I no longer needed accommodations for the night. Therefore, I then called Midway Hampton inn right away & spoke to the front desk receptionist, who listened to my circumstance but then placed me hold for 15min to follow-up with her manager. Upon returning to the phone, the receptionist notified me I owed the total cost of both rooms. I was very shocked & disappointed, as I was never informed I would need to pay the full total of both rooms after canceling. However I was mainly disappointed that my circumstances weren’t being taken into consideration.

I then asked to speak with the manager on call. After explaining my circumstances to the manager, she totally disregarded my concern & abruptly told me it was my fault for being charged, due to canceling at the last minute. She also informed me that canceling the rooms would mess up their hotels inventory & the she wasn’t going to let me get her in trouble. I thought these responses were quite unprofessional & inconsiderate, especially coming from a manager. After expressing how dissatisfied I was, the manager then offered to waive the cost of one of the rooms. However due to my circumstances, I didn’t agree with being charged the full amount for anything. I understood there would be a cancellation fee but was never informed I would be charged the full amount for both or any room.

After having an unpleasant exchange of words with the manager, I was informed I would be charged the full amount for both rooms. This entire experience saddens me. My circumstances were out of my control & I was only being a concerned...

Due to all of the flight cancellations that have been going on, my husband and I were stuck in Chicago and had to get a hotel room last minute. I called in to make sure there was space for us and was told I had to pay over the phone. It was about 2 am on 12/22 when we arrived and just to absolutely make sure that we would have the room for the entire day, I spoke with the front desk employee who assured me that we would have all of 12/22 and check out was at noon on 12/23. At 12:20 pm on 12/22 a different front desk employee opens our door while we were sleeping because he thought we were checked out. When I explained the situation, he left but I received a rude phone call from the front desk manager saying that’s not how “hotel time” works and that we either needed to check out or book another night. I went downstairs to try and talk with her to see how we were given the wrong information and she continued to be rude, told me to google my own information, and refused to give me the contact for her supervisor or the name of the employee that gave the wrong info. She aggressively said that I can use her name “Abby” and said that’s all I need. If I had been told about "hotel time" from the beginning, I would have waited to check in until the proper hour had started. As I said we were stuck, so I had to book another night or be stranded at the airport for however many cancellations we had to go through. Once I got back to our room, I immediately called customer support who had me file a claim to get reimbursement, which I still have heard nothing about. At check out, my husband asked the same male front desk employee if they take credit cards over the phone and he said they are not allowed to do that. Meaning the first employee that booked us, gave us no confirmation number, gave us the wrong information, clearly had no clue about their own hotel rules, and our room was literally freezing (I mean actual ice and frost coming into the room), and I have to be the one to...
