Probably one of the worst foods I had for a common restaurant.
Arriving to the location, everything seemed to go well and we were not greeted, but the person told someone else to seat us. The other person was originally on their phone, grabbed the menus and walked us towards a table. We waited for a while for the server to arrive. I wanted to ask about the different sauces they had. The servers attitude did not come to be too friendly, more as if she was being pushy and wanted to go to the next table.
When the samples of the sauces came, they were not what I expected. Very sweat with little to no heat. The one that was supposed to have heat, had more of a sugary taste, and the only time heat came to it, was the flakes that were added, not the actual sauce.
We placed an order for our food.
I went to the restroom and noticed the paper towel dispenser was not working. They had a roll of paper next to the sink, waiting for it to entirely get wet from people washing their hands. The sink had paper towels in it as well. The sink itself, water pressure, was higher than expected. You need to be careful turning on the sink or else, you may get splashed with water. By a lot of water pressure, it is the comparison of how quick the sink drains, vs how much water is flowing (sink drains slowed, so sink will flood)
Appetizers come, and 4 different ranches arrive with out platter. I had the wings, and they were still cold from the inside. I saw the potato skin which looked like it has been left out for a while, heated over and over again. I had a taste of it and the potato skin was very dry, and you could barely taste anything on there. The cheese barely added any taste either. The potato skin itself also had the taste of it being undercooked, OR, as if it was a potato that was cooked about a week ago, and given to its customers.
With our actual food:
I had a steak, which came out to be the size of the palm of the hand, smaller than I thought. I ordered a medium cooked steak, and the first few bites we were almost overcooked. Going further into the steak, the inside was blue, almost raw.
The broccoli, I was expecting a butter broccoli as the menu said. I only got plain, quickly steamed broccoli.
My friend ordered a hamburger, which when it arrived, it was cold. The Hamburger was not hot at all. The cheese on top of the hamburger was slightly melted, not given enough time to heat up and served as is.
The chiefs at this establishment do not know how to properly cook a steak, or handle their own dishes it seems.
The best dish here, in comparison to everything, was probably the mashed potatoes. Although the mashed potatoes were chunky, dry, and not creamy, the seasoning was there. It is better to have dry and sticky mashed potatoes than undercooked potatoes, as mentioned from the potato skin.
Maybe it was this day only? Maybe it was not. When 3 different factors contributes to the say, it does not seem like a restaurant I would recommend to...
Read moreIt started bad and continually got worse... first I asked for a bottled beer. The bartender set it in front of me, and it immediately began foaming out the top. He saw it, but just walked away. For the next 5 minutes, I stared at the beer flowing out the top like a fountain (trying to get one of the THREE bartenders to notice), until there was only about 1/3 of a bottle left. It took me an additional TEN MINUTES to flag someone down to get a replacement beer. I'm like, ok, it happens. Next, I order the newest and most expensive menu item, the whiskey-glazed filet mignon. The food came out quick (which was the only positive part of the night). And then moments later, a bowl of shrimp shows up. Confused, I look at the bartender and ask, "Did I get the wrong order?" He replies, "Oh I thought you said you wanted the shrimp." At this point, I'm thinking back to placing my order, trying to think of anything I might have said that remotely sounded like, "I'll also have the shrimp." I think of nothing. The bartender is nice about it, though, takes the shrimp, and removes if from my bill. The filet looks delicious, albeit small (I seriously doubt it was 8 oz, even pre-cooked, as the menu stated) and my mouth begins to water. I grab my knife and saw into it (I use the word "saw" literally) and take a bite of the toughest steak I've ever eaten in my life. My jaw got tired just from chewing the first bite. But I was hungry and tired and needed the nourishment, and after a great deal of effort, I finished the entire thing. Once again, this is the MOST expensive item on their menu. Now, at sub-$25, I'm not expecting Gibson's or Stetson's quality, but I'm expecting substantially better than $3 stew meat from the grocery store. I didn't get it. And to cap it all off, when I pushed my plate away, I still had 2/3 of a tall beer left, and the bartender is asking me if I want the check. No, I'll finish my beer, thank you.
I finished my beer, did NOT complain about the food, and paid my check in full. I don't need them thinking that I'm chasing a free meal.
I advise anyone and everyone to avoid this location, unless you enjoy poor service topped off by poor quality food. I guess maybe my expectations were too high for a chain restaurant right next to the airport. I won't make that mistake again. By far my worst dining experience in quite some time, and I eat out 10-15 times per...
Read moreWorse experience EVER. First the host sat "her friends" before seating me and I arrived first. Secondly, it appeared my waitress was the bartender. After waiting for 7 minutes, she came to my table (with no apology for the wait) and asked would I be having anything to drink. I responded no, but I was ready to order. She rolled her eyes and took my order. At this point, I expected the water that comes when one arrives at a restaurant but never recieved. The food arrives and the gentleman delivering it seemed more pleasant and I asked him for a water with no ice. I heard him ask my "waitress" to deliver me a water with no ice. I recieved it 5 minutes later and when I said thank you, she rolled her eyes with no response. I did hear her laughing and flirting with several guys at the bar in which she mentioned she was going to her other job after this one. I finished my food at 1252 and it is now 100. I am still waiting to be acknowledged for my check. And I am expected to leave a tip? Well here is my tip.
Never come to a customer with dirty dishes in hand asking for order. Especially when it is NOT busy. Drop those off and come back.
Offer customer water when they sit down. That is customary across the board.
Once food has been delivered, wait a few minutes and then come and ask if everything is good and if you can get them anything else.
Once they are finished, ask will that be all or can you get them coffee or dessert. (That she did do)
Give check and tell them thank you and come again. (This she did as well without the thank you or smile)
I do not know if they were short staffed (didn't look as such) or she was just having a bad day in which she should stay at home. But her attitude was less than desirable and the ONLY reason they recieved two stars is because the food was amazing!
It said the server was Monseera on my ticket. I usually tip 30 to 35 percent on my tabs. Unfortunately, this recieves nothing. I am in the service industry and understand the hustle. This is why I ALWAYS deliver service...
