Copper Fox — Restaurant in Stickney Township

I am a usual customer who visits at least 1 week. Twice this month I have been so disappointed with the two waitress who attended me. Margie and I can't think of the other one. They had me and my family waiting 45 minutes and attending to new customers coming in until I stood up and asked how much longer before I can get waited on? Margie replied, I thought you were just sitting there. Didn't think you wanted a menu. She didn't care to give me service as the other customers. This was my sisters 1st time and I told her I loved this. To top it off she gave me Bill's receipt. I told her he didn't tip her well and if I were treated different I usually tip nicer than he did. My usual person has been out because she has been sick. I hope they find people like her or I will find another...

Just OK, for a couple of reasons. First, it was clean, the servers were attentive, and my meal (7 layer chicken salad) was fresh and priced well. Here's what brought my score down...This place is listed as a gastropub. It's basically an extension of a bar. So if I'm in a bar, how is it that neither of the two servers asked if I'd like a drink, a brew, a cocktail? The first server was quick to offer a glass of water but no mention of the beers on tap, the evening's special, a barman's concoction, nothing... My second issue is that before coming in I'd read some of the reviews. I noticed that a lot of them mentioned poor seafood. I ordered a chicken salad but damned if I didn't keep smelling just a hint of stinky fish. Kind...

So, crab cake was pretty good as an appetizer...scallops on the other hand were definitely not safe to eat. They were smelling very fishy and tasted terrible (the one I unfortunately ate). I just hope I don’t get sick. The chef said they looked good to him...scary though...To be safe, since I was still hungry, I ordered the calamari fries and rosemary chips. Both were actually fine. Service was terrible too. The “manager” was my waitress. She called security on me when I told her to make sure she wouldn’t sell the scallops again. She said the chef said they were fine so she would keep selling them and I had to go... I am definitely never coming back and highly recommend no one ever eats there again. if you do, eat at...
