Our server, Gaby, was very attentive to our needs and our refills for drinks. The food was more flavorful than we had anticipated. We went because we wanted a nice hot meal, and we did find just that. There was three of us tiny and we each tried everybody’s plate and it was nothing short of spectacular. I made sure to ask Gaby know to let the cooks know. We had plans to have dessert, but after our meal and appetizers, we were stuffed. My daughter asked why we don’t come often, and I think while the food is good the drinks are priced normally for a hotel lobby pricing, so I said I’m gonna have to come back and not drink our alcoholic beverages there so we can enjoy the food.

Had a fantastic evening in the Chicago Midway area at Coaches Sports Bar and Grill, a cozy restaurant located inside the DoubleTree hotel. The experience was lovely overall. I initially ordered the 14oz ribeye, but it wasn’t quite to my liking. However, Romero was incredibly attentive and turned things around by offering me something different. I opted for the steak sandwich on ciabatta bread, and it was delicious! It’s worth noting that the restaurant manager (Guillermo) personally delivered it to my table—great teamwork! I truly appreciated the personal touch and the conversation, making sure I was enjoying my meal. Thank you!

Came in at 11 pm, after a long day of work. Right away the male server was standoffish and tells me the kitchen isnt provided food for eat in, and to order food at the bar for take out. As i sat waiting for my food i watched 3 other tabled order food for eat in. Not sure what buddies problem was with me as i was dressed no differently than the other patrons. Pretty sure ill eat elsewhere next layover, and ill be mentioning to my coworkers maybe to avoid Coaches on their layovers as well. Too bad I bad server ruins a place.

I had the pleasure of dining at Coaches Sports Bar & Grill, and I must say—it exceeded all expectations. From the moment I walked in, Adriane delivered impeccable service. As both server and bartender, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. Her recommendations were on point, and she managed the floor with genuine hospitality that made the experience feel personal and top-tier.

The culinary highlight of the night came from the kitchen, where Chef Erika absolutely nailed every plate. The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. You could truly taste the passion and attention to detail in each dish.

When great service meets great food, the result is unforgettable—and that’s exactly what Adriane and Erika delivered. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or just looking for a fantastic meal in the area, this team sets the standard.

Thank you both for a memorable...

I understand it being a holiday and all, but seemed like sufficient staff for the crowd, if not, why not just close? After initially being greeted and handed a menu, we asked for the Stanley Cup playoff game to be turned on. Being a sports bar, in a hockey town, I would imagine that said sports bar would 1) know that the playoffs were on, 2) have the TVs set to sports channels. No. Of their numerous TVs they had 3 set to ESPN News, the others set to WGN news and BET on. We asked that the game be put on. She has no idea. None of the customers seemed to care or be interested.

The waitress disappeared. Never took our drink order. We left and went across to the Hyatt where we had much better and attentive service. Smaller menu but made up for it with the right type...

We walked in this restaurant only to be blatantly discriminated against. My best friend and I sat ourselves down as the sign directed us to upon entering. A waiter walked over to us and said it's to go only you have to walk up to the bar to order. We are women of color. Two white women walked in behind us and was immediately seated and their sit down service started. There was 4 people sitting at the bar eating and being served. We attempted to order only to be told what we wanted they were sold out of. We asked a couple of other questions and to avoid a scene and to look more stupid in front of the people eating and being served, we walked out.

Yea, Coaches, y'all really need to do better! Not cool. Sorry I can't offer a suggestion on the food, they wouldn't...
