It's a beautiful place to stay. I wish I could live here (or at least stay longer). I only stayed 1 night because we had to be on the road to get back home. I traveled from Pennsylvania to Arizona and when we were going back to Pennsylvania, that's when we stopped here for the night. I was traveling with my grandpa and my daughter. The shower was amazing!! Your can adjust it. On the side of the shower head is a no. You can move that up and down to adjust the settings. We were in room #208. They have a very nice and clean pool and hot tub, and free water and I saw that they had yogurt in the fridge in the dining area even at night time! They do have free breakfast in the morning. I got a muffin, (Greek) yogurt, orange juice, and the regular coffee wasn't strong enough for me, so I got the bold coffee and it was perfect! 👌 They have a ton of other things for breakfast, too! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ They are also pet friendly. They're were people with dogs there.

The staff was great! Lobby and outdoor area in good shape and clean. We bring our pet on several trips, and we don't mind the "pet" smell at times. However, this hotels humidity issue is ridiculously bad. Our room was on the second floor, and we were close to the stairwell, which they usually do for pet owners for ease with bathroom breaks. Once off the elevator, the musty smell hits you. I will give them credit, they try with 2 dehumidifiers on the floor, but our room was awful. From a deeper musty smell to hot with little to no air flow. The ac units are definitely old school and don't offer much circulation. All in all, it's not a bad room, but when you look closer. Lamp shade is dirty with mold/mildew spots, dust covers the bathroom vent, and the sprinkler system. Old washcloths from past guests were still over the shower rod, and the carpet was filthy. We will definitely think twice before staying at a Comfort Inn again.

The hotel looks nice in the pictures, but it's not. Hotel is under renovations. Beware. We were on the first floor. For the price I expected a much better room. The room smells musty, the carpet feels gross, the furniture is banged up, there's a crack along the ceiling and water spots, there was an issue with the toilet not flushing, and the bed had a dip in it making it rather uncomfortable. I'm surprised that they would even check anyone into that particular room (107). Their breakfast was powdered eggs and chewy sausage. Checked out a day before my checkout, but after 3pm. They dont protate. Then, at checkout, Joe screwed up and charged me an extra $123.25 which he had to void. It'll drop off of my statement, but it overdrafted me AND cost an extra 45 minutes of my time to try to get it straightened out. Do not stay here.

I checked into your hotel at 3:15PM, 9/12/23 and during the check-in process, employee (Joe) had trouble checking me in, due to a credit card reader / computer error. Joe told me the issue was resolved, gave me my room keys and I went to my room.||Approximately 5 minutes later, Joe came to my room and (referring to me by my last name, which I found extremely unprofessional and disrespectful), said the transaction did not work (he said it checked me in as paying cash) and asked for my credit card. I told him I would come to the front desk shortly, (with my credit card) when I returned the luggage cart to the lobby.|I checked my company credit card app on my phone and saw that my credit card was charged TWICE for the room. I returned to the front desk and Joe told me he cancelled the charge, but it did not drop off my credit card app. On 9/12/23, I emailed the General Manager (Niten Patel) and, as of this writing (2 days later), have received no response. ||Checking my credit card app on 9/14/23 at 4:45AM, I found that my credit card had been charged a third time. I sent a follow-up email to hotel General Manager Patel at that time. I went to the front desk to find out what time the GM normally comes to the hotel and the front desk clerk (Vernon) told me that the GM oversees 4-5 hotels and rarely comes to the hotel. I asked Vernon if there is generally an on-site manager and he told me the manager is only at the hotel on Mondays and Tuesdays, from 9AM-3PM; both of my interactions with Joe and Vernon were outside of the manager’s banker’s hours. ||The Room: My room (323) smelled like a mixture of dog urine, smoke and the bottom of a slaughterhouse dumpster. I turned on the A/C to try to clear the air but, as expected, that did little good. The bathtub area was moldy, showerhead was limed up and partially blocked and the bathroom exhaust fan looked like it had NEVER been cleaned.||Check-in Process: A complete train wreck. My credit card was charged 3 times and, since it is a company credit card, I will have to go through the charge dispute process because I have ZERO faith that hotel management will apply a credit to my card.||General Manager Response to the triple billing: NONE||I emailed Comfort Inn corporate and, as expected, they said they couldn’t do anything since the hotel is independently owned, however they did insult me by asking me to join their loyalty club AND they would even grant me 8,000 points.||Avoid this dump like the plague! As a business traveler who is on the road 270-280 days annually, I typically stay at either Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn. Unfortunately, the Sullivan / Cuba, MO area has no decent hotels so if you are unfortunate enough to stay in the area, I wish...

The rooms at this location were not in good shape at all. The walls and trim had really nasty stuff all over them - I used an entire container of Clorox wipes cleaning and wiping down everything in the room so I would feel better about my small children touching anything in there. The carpets were dirty and had set in stains that look like they’ve been there for years and never been deep cleaned. There was a hole in the closet door of the first room we were assigned which was so bad I asked to be moved. All the staff was extremely nice and accommodating though which is the only reason I scored the place a 3. The front desk, Joe, allowed me to look at the 2nd room before we moved all our stuff and it was much better than the first but still not great. He even helped me move my stuff while I tended to my infant. He was wonderful! Also, the gentleman who ran the breakfast, I didn't get his name, was very kind and helpful as well. Sadly, the property itself needs some serious attention. The furniture was all beat up, there were cracks in the walls and peeling or bubbling paint - probably from water damage, there was rust on the metals on the shower, sink, and toilet. The tile floor in the bathroom probably hasn't been deep cleaned ever as there was so much dirt and dust in the creases and along the edges of the room. The outlets were all pretty sketchy. Our first room didn’t have new shampoo, conditioner, or lotion bottles - they were all used, as well as an almost finished toilet paper roll. I could go on and on, but the point it that it was a mess. Also, the pool was closed and they were painting the exterior so there was hardly anywhere convenient to park & really no perks to staying there. Unfortunately we will not be back and probably will avoid choice hotels in the future because they never seem to be up to par with other...

I would have liked to know that renovations would be impacting the entire first floor prior to check in. We weren’t aware until we walked in after 9pm with our exhausted two year old, so we really didn’t have another option at that point.

We were in one of the renovated rooms, however it seemed incomplete. The shower walls had markings on them (from trimming I assume), there was no caulking between the tub and shower tiles, and no soap dish at the sink.

The breakfast was pretty mediocre compared to another Comfort Inn we stayed at a month ago. The hot breakfast usually includes eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy. This location only had eggs and sausage that were available as hot items.

After breakfast, we decided to swim in the pool with our two year old. With the renovations, it was a hazard getting to the pool. The hallway was coated in construction debris, tools laying around everywhere, and it reeked of fumes. We also noticed the door going into the pool area had rusted screws poking out of the door frame at the bottom. This is not safe for anyone, especially children in the pool area.

Had we known the renovation would be on the main floor during our visit, we likely would have booked another hotel. We booked at this location due to a good experience we had at the Hannibal location a month ago. We were otherwise going to book the Baymont (which was cheaper, but we were hoping for a similar experience as we had at the other Comfort Inn a...
