Sunny Jim Bottomley City Park — Attraction in Sullivan

Wow. We checked out the park and the splash pad. 1st, this is a great park! They have a section for little kids (2-5) and the biggest playground is epic. We have some amazing parks in STL, MO but this trumps them. There are so many different climbing opportunities (ladders, rocks, trees stumps, chains, etc), multiple slides that are huge and other fun activities (tire swing, swings, see-saw). There is even sand, and a cute tunnel. They have a few picnic tables and accessible bathrooms. I do wish they had a few more seats for adults in the middle.

The splash pad was also so much fun. It was a little cooler today (85*) so we only played for about 15 minutes. The kids had fun. They have a picnic area, clean bathrooms and clean...

Came here for the eclipse. Happened upon this park primarily because the name was hilarious and wanted to check it out. Seems like a pretty decent little park, and the people were nice. Had a pool, cool-looking playground, and a couple baseball fields. Bathrooms were completely acceptable, especially considering how many people were there at the time. It is a nice surprise to see all that this small town park offers. There is a skate park, 2 enclosed tennis courts, a basketball court, ball field, water park, and covered pavilions for parties. While we do enjoy taking our dogs for walks here, it would be so much more enjoyable to have more trees here. That would be my only complaint, more shade is...
