I'm not sure if they are running a hotel for humans or a dang zoo. I heard no fewer than 2 different dogs barking pretty nonstop from about 10-11PM until I finally called front desk. They call me back 5 minutes later and tell me no one is answering the door. Yep, you guessed it, the people had left their dogs in the room and took off. Fantastic!
Luckily, it gets worse! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to lick an ash tray and have that taste in your throat the entire time you're there? Well this is the place for you! The smell of cigarette smoke is in the air, the sheets and the linens! And what's even better, they don't charge you any extra for for this service! Yes, I know, I couldn't believe it was free either! Score!
But wait, there's more! Don't worry about setting your alarm, at 6:15AM, the 10 minutes of sirens will ensure you don't oversleep! How awesome is that?!
Oh, it gets better! Worried about your car in the parking lot? Well worry no more, my friend. They have onsite security! Yes, 6-8 sketchy looking guys standing around smoking and looking homeless will greet you as you arrive. Does it get any better than this?!
You absolutely can't go wrong staying here. You want some adventure during your travels, well I've found it for you! Bring the entire family, there is something for everyone at the Super 8 in beautiful Sullivan, Missouri where you come for the in-room petting zoo, but you stay for the free watery eyes, burning throat and congested lungs from the free cigarette smoke you can cut...
Read moreBy far the WORST motel I have ever stayed in. Not at all what you see when looking for a room online. The staff was rude. Gossiping about other guest while we were trying to check in. The property looked like it hadnt been picked up or cared for in years. Rooms where half clean at best. First the light switch as you go in the door didnt work. Then the air conditioner stopped working. Had to call the front desk and she seemed like it was bothering her to have to address the problem. I even said if she didn't want to send someone to look at it we could move to another room. She said no she would send someone and hung up. Then I went to blow dry my hair with one of their dryers and half way thru it went to making a very loud popping and squealing noise and shut off. I went to the front desk and told her what had happened and asked if I could get another one. She said she didn't have a clue where to find one and it was to late to call anyone and ask. It was only 10:30-11:00. So I had to go to bed with half wet hair. Then there was noise in the hall all night. And woke up numerous times itching. I now wish I had gone down the road to a different motel.....NO MATTER THE COST!!!! I would HIGHLY recommend NOT staying here. Only have one star because that was as low as...
Read moreI wouldnt say this wa the best experience, wouldn't recommend really to others. The second i even walked into the hallway my room was contained, it smelt like a bad stench of dirty feet and cigarettes. The walls were a big red flag as well being stained yellow-ish and then when i went in my room it. was. horrible. It smelled extremely horrible and we checked to see if anything else was sketchy.. Opened one of the drawers in our room just to fin out the previous person that had slept in the room left their clothes here.. Underwear too.. and if i were to guess they were probably drunk and in the drawer also contained faint brown smears... Im not joking. My cousin closed the drawer immediately and washed his hands in disgust. Then when i went over to the AC it had a sign on it that said something about only being able to use the thermostat. It was freezing in there and i didn't like it. Honestly the roomkeepers her probably dont work hard enough. If i was them i would AT LEAST check the drawers. An one mor thing- when i went to wash my hands after checking everything, the towel i found under the sink had a faint brown and red stain on it. I also checked the window and the curtain was all the way open and the screen too the window was plyed open...
