Overpriced and disappointed, like people mentioned it's a lot cheaper getting a dozen donuts at Walmart if you're looking for quantity. Although they do taste better than Walmart. When comparing price wise and quality to On The Run's bakery fresh goods (at a gas station in Bourbon) they are about the same. I kind of expect it to be pricey at a gas station for convenience but not at a donut shop. Back when it was Eagle Donuts (owned by someone else) they used to have giant donuts with better quality. The apple fritters were chunky and you could taste the apple+cinnamon filling, they had huge long johns, basically everything was bigger, better and worth it's price. Now everything is smaller and low quality in comparison, the donuts don't have heft and are very squishy.
Speaking of price you really got to ask them what consists of a dozen donuts because long johns are priced higher as a "specialty", first time I heard of this. Only realized after checking out, never had this happen at any other donut shop for a long john.
One tip for the employees, when someone orders a dozen or half dozen expecting it to be the bulk order price on the menu and they start ordering specialty types that would otherwise be charged extra, please at least warn them that those donuts aren't included in the dozen package because they may not know! It feels kinda scammy and awkward to tell them to put it back otherwise after getting ready to checkout.
If you aren't a morning person good luck getting any donuts worthwhile, their selection after 9-10am dwindles and the fact they close at Noon, better luck looking for donuts elsewhere. I'll stick with getting afternoon donuts at Walmart or On The Run. I guess it's okay if you're looking to get a large quantity of a variety of donuts (not just glazed/chocolate icing, again Walmart) for a morning meeting or kids birthday and not worried about the price. They do have pretty colorful donuts that have a unique aesthetic with it's own flavor that you don't find anywhere else but I prefer the taste of the...
Read moreThe donuts are good but the company is a rip off. No one looks at their receipt but I do... they always overcharge me. I get a different price each time I go in. When I try to explain, they basically say "that sucks". They know they're the only place around now that Bulldog donuts is gone. We miss them. When my BFF went to order a half dozen glazed and half specialty, they put them all in the same box and charged him for a dozen. We hen he brought it up, they argued. Below is what we e got... so, now, I ask the prices up front. I point to the pricing on the board. Order the half dozen first and then when they have it boxed, i finish my order. A lot of hassle for a "local" donut shop. They're not that good.. may have to drive...
