On August 9, 2020 we were traveling from Reeds Spring, MO to St. Louis, MO for a doctors appointment on 8/10/2020. At 4:48 PM pulled into the parking lot for Cracker Barrel for supper located at the 225 Exit on Interstate 44 for supper. As soon as we parked the hail started to fall, we went to the gas station next door to get out of the weather. At 4:55 we went back to Cracker Barrel. We went inside and was seated very quickly. The four of us placed our orders approximately 5:10 PM. My in-laws and wife ordered breakfast meals and since I am diabetic I ordered a salad with French dressing. Over the next hour we asked where I meal was three times and the waitress (Ashley) said it would be right out. Finally at 6:22 PM the meals were brought out and I said to make sure the food was not cold. The waitress placed the breakfast meals first and then she gave me my salad with no dressing. She then told me that they only had three dressings available, which I could not stand any of them. I told her to take the salad away, that I did not want it or anything else. I then made a comment that it took over an hour to get our meals and then they could even let me know they could not complete my meal. The waitress made a comment that the ticket showed 20 minutes for prep. I said no way and told her she was lying. The waitress then held our ticket for the manager to make an adjustment and he would be out to talk with us in a few minutes. After 15 minutes waiting on the manager we said we had to go and just give us the ticket. We did not see the manager at this time. When my mother-in-law was paying the ticket she told the cashier that this was the worst service we had ever gotten at a restaurant. The cashier said she could get a manager out there to talk with us and I told her we were on the road and had to get going. Another girl behind the counter said the cashier was trying to help and quit yelling at her. I was not yelling and I told her to mind her own business. She then talked to the manager on a radio saying I was being “hostile” to her, which I wasn't. The manager was there in less than a minute to confront us. I told him I would never go to another...
Read more8/15: UPDATE - Our son got food poisoning from dinner. I called the store while sitting on the side of the road & our poor son was vomiting! Annie, the manager, was very nice and said she was going to process a refund but because we were passing thru & I couldn't get back there in person, she'd process a refund thru corporate & said we'd have within a few days. I'm waiting to see how this turns out to do another update.
8/14: Guys, I get that it's a Cracker Barrel, but your employees need some serious training! We sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone just to ask us about drinks. Once they arrived, the waitress spilled water all over our table & my husband. I picked up most the mess with napkins before they brought towels. She was very sweet & I understand accidents happen, but then the food. So, here we go.
Our son & his friend ordered bacon cheeseburgers. Order came, no bacon. Asked for it, never got it. Our salads didn't come so we sat with water & biscuits for over 30 minutes. Employees walk by, no personality, no friendliness & honestly not much smarts in the knowledge of their own menu.
Meatloaf - ordered it - cold in the middle. A family of 6 who came in after us was served way before us, ridiculous! Salads had brown lettuce so we didn't even try to finish those.
Every single customer walking past us was MAD! Service was terrible and took forever! So 75 minutes we were there & had to deal with all of this, and bad food for $80?? Yeah, this particular CB we'll never come back to. Don't waste your time & patience. You won't get good...
Read moreOrdered pick-up while on a road trip and was coming into Sullivan to stay at the nextdoor hotel. Pulled in the pickup spot and checked in on the app. Waited 15 minutes past the scheduled pick up time. Went inside to ask about where the food was and they went in the back to check, came back 5 minutes later and said they still needed to put it all together. When they brought it out, I got out to the car to make sure it was all there and realized, for 4 meals, there was only 1 silverware packet and none of the rolls for any meal. So I went back in to ask for those items. Was so tired, I forgot to check the rest. Got to the hotel, started handing out meals and realized 3 of the sides were missing and all the grilled chicken was burnt and the broccoli was cold and the bacon was barely cooked. I went back for the sides and it took 20 more minutes to get the sides. Very frustrating to spend almost $80 on a meal and have so many issues with it. The kitchen staff should be making sure the orders are complete and have the necessary condiments and cutlery in the bag. They have no idea where the people who are ordering will be eating and if they will be close by enough to go back in to correct errors. What if we just stopped and got our food and then continued along our journey to eat in the car, it would have been horrible. I would appreciate management reaching out to us to try to make this situation right and assure that staff won't make that...
