This was one of the worst hotel stays I have ever experienced. First of all, the room had a very strong second hand smoke smell despite being a smoke free facility. There was even a cigarette burn in the toilet seat that someone tried to scratch off; refer to attached photos. After entering the room, it became extremely hard to breathe for both my husband and I. I also have asthma, so second hand smoke triggers my symptoms . We went to the front desk to address the problem, and they said they couldn’t do anything because the hotel was booked. They offered room spray and a febreze plug in. This helped cover the smell, but I was still congested and found it difficult to breathe. They also said they would be up to investigate the smell in 5 minutes, but they never came to our room. The next item on the list was the blood and bodily fluids on the blanket; refer to attached photos. I did not sleep with the blanket. The bed had some broken springs, and it was extremely noisy with and movement. The walls were super thin, and we were awakened after 11pm by the extremely intoxicated neighbors screaming and shouting, “I love you!” This continued for at least 30 minutes. The next morning, we desperately needed a shower to get the second hand smoke smell off of us, and the bathtub had some painted on texturing surface painted on; refer to attached photos. It felt like a thousand tiny pin pricks while standing in there to shower. It was excruciating. My feet still hurt. As we were packing up, we found ants on the desk. When we were checking out I returned the spray and air freshener, and told the man I am returning it because of the second hand smoke smell was terrible in the room, and his only response was to take our keys and say, Thank you. Have a nice day.”while he continued cutting up paper. We did not stay for breakfast, so I have no clue what that was like. We left as soon as we could. We have paid much less and stay much nicer hotels. This hotel would have been overpriced at $50 a night. I’m very confused about all of the wonderful reviews because that was not our experience. I would not recommend this hotel to even my middle school arch nemesis. If you choose to stay here, don’t say I...
Read moreRecently I booked two rooms at Baymont Inn wanting to have a great Thanksgiving weekend with my granddaughters and cousin with her granddaughter when we arrived the one bathroom had stains in the tub as though it hadn't been clean , no coffee when asked if we could get some they stated we could use the coffee in the lobby, why have coffee pot in the rooms if you can't use it, the hot tub wasn't working must have been broke for sometime since there was scum floating on top one of the girls stepped on something sharp in the pool which injured foot, the food wasn't that great either biscuits flat and gravy in a pump made me feel as though it wasn't really gravy, We had join rooms one for the girls and one for the adults when going to bed the pillows I had a hard time sleeping on them even though I had 4 on my bed I went into the room where my granddaughter's was sleeping took another off the bed forgot to return it to their room so they changed me $40.00 for 2 pillows added to my card which I didn't know about until I return home I tried to explain it the them yet they kept insisting that we stole 2 pillows they charge us for the first day they clean the room with no pillow then again at check out time kept telling me the pillows wasn't there in any rooms which was just a lie I left with 5 pillows on my bed well I don't know where those pillows went to because I hated the pillows to flat its funny they gave me a discount of $40.00 for being an AARP member then took it back by accusing me of stealing their pillows all I can say I will never recommend them to anyone in Sullivan to stay there and the next time I ever stay in another motel which won't be with Baymont Inn, in Sullivan I will take my own pillows or make sure to take pictures before and when I am checking out I am not a thief and if I was I could find better things to take than 2 flat pillows at any...
Read moreAll I wanted was a call from the manager offering in the very least an apology at most a refund, extra loyalty points or some sort of compensation for our stay at this location last night. I left my complaint with the front desk and was promised a phone call but never received it. Yeah, they have my money, I'm in their past. I understand that I requested a king bed and paid for it but since we have a dog they had to move us to a double queen room, we'd been driving for 9 hours so we just wanted to sleep anyway. When we went the open the room door there were issues from the start and had to be assisted from the front desk and that forced us to hang out in the B.O. smelling hallway. After running all the luggage in and then taking the dog out for a walk the door stopped working altogether and it had to be opened from the inside for the rest of our stay, meaning someone had to stay in the room at all times. The room itself was hot and humid and the floor felt wet when we walked on it barefoot, we wore shoes for the rest of the stay. After the girlfriend went to bed I went to close the window curtains so we could sleep in and discovered 1/2 the curtain was missing, the one that blocks the sun! The guy from the front desk offered to fix it but she was already in bed and we were done accepting visitors for the evening! I asked for a large sheet to try and block views from the parking lot and the morning sun. I succeeded in blocking views but found the sun beaming in at 6AM this morning cutting my much needed sleep short. I booked this room because it was the highest rated in the area and figured it would be better than Motel 6 or Best Western, I guess I was wrong. Will never stay at a...
